Amazing place for breakfast. I was surprised when my GPS brought me here. The food was really good and that BACON… yummy!!! I believe i have found a great place to bring my family for breakfast when they come to visit.

My 3 stars here has nothing to do with the food or our waitress. Food was excellent. Waitress was very sweet. However, the NOOUTSIDEFOODORDRINKSIGN on the door is taken very literally. I had a cup of water and lemon from the hotel that I was promptly asked to throw away at 10 in the morning. Again, food was good. Upon checking out, my wife was told, we’re a small business we prefer you tip in cash. Rather than ask, how was everything? She was told how she should pay. She also overheard a gentlemen talking about opening later in the morning because they were slow. I’m assuming they aren’t slow because of the food, but rather the poor customer experience. We won’t be back, too many good options in the Valley.

The appetizer was bland for lack of seasoning. Cuban sandwich was not seasoned. Banh mi sandwich was overly salted. Only the pancakes were prepared well. All of the desserts offered were wrapped. Decided to try a crumb cake and when removing the Saran Wrap we found a dry, oily, dead worm which was stuck in the wrap. The cake looked old. The cashier asked for cash tip but I only had card on me. No smile or asking how the food was. So I didn’t tell him. They do not know how to prepare food. I will not return.

The food is great with a very good selection to choose from on the menu plus they have daily specials. The coffee is free refil and the mugs are large. Have had the breakfast and brunch items. Wonderful portions. The staff cleans the tables with solution and fresh cloth and that is rare to see. Everything was clean and the presentation of the food was spot on. You will most likely have to wait to get in, but that is due to customers sitting around like they rented it for birthday or a hall. Not business issue, just the arrogance of some people.

Found this restaurant on Unilocal and when I arrived I was excited to see what it offered. We were sat right away and put in a food order of French toast and two orders of eggs right away. Food that take literally less than 10 minutes to make took almost an hour to come out, while the people seated 20 – 30 minutes after us were eating and leaving around us. Only our waiter came over to tell us «it would be out soon»(twice), no comment from any managers or people in charge. Very disappointed.

Place was pretty sick I guess. Just make sure you go early or else you’ll end up waiting around for a table while people sit around and sip coffee for an hour after their meal. Groups of 8 will leave and look at you and the crowd waiting and say things like«looks like we got here at the right time» or «must be the lunch crowd». Also don’t talk shit and stare at people thinking you’re safe behind those red dots on the windows because everyone inside can see through the dots. Everyone inside can see everything just apparently not the check on their table. But the food was fantastic, just expect to wait and BRINGCASH. They take cards but they prefer cash. Guy in front of me tried to split a bill but who I could only assume was the owner said he already added it up. Apparently computers these days don’t have«cancel» options. Then a trap door opened up underneath him. After that, I left and commented on the crowd waiting and said«looks like we got here at the right time.» I know, I know. I harped on those people earlier. Just kidding anyway. Also what’s up with the lady on here who wouldn’t take a free cookie? Who turns down free cookies?

Um, doubtful I will go again. Avocado toast was made with guacamole… eggs on top were cold. Pancakes were hard and greasy. No kids menu for breakfast so we paid full price for a 5 year old who ate 3 bites or eggs. With all the competition for breakfast this would not be my first choice. Atmosphere was the best part!

Where to begin??? Fortunately, two of us arrived at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. It was the first day of daylight savings time and therefore was probably the reason that at that hour, the wait wasn’t unreasonable – about 15 mins. However, within a few mins of having been seated, the queue had grown to about 20 people outside the front door and we had to wait for about 30 mins for our food to be served, despite it not being terribly crowded inside. I’d read good reviews about this place so we were hoping for an exceptional experience. It fell very short of our expectations and we won’t be returning. I have to give them credit for their creative writing capabilities because reading the menu was much more enjoyable than was actually eating the food. I’m guessing they’d hired a ghost writer to describe the menu without actually having tasted the cuisine(and I’m using the word ‘cuisine’ very loosely). We ordered two brunch dishes to share – the avocado toast and the pork burger special with a side of spicy slaw. The avocado toast consisted of approximately two tablespoons of what appeared to be pre-packaged guacamole(the kind you find in the refrigerated case at the supermarket) on supermarket-grade wheat toast. It was topped with two fried eggs. It really should have been called, «eggs on toast with a dollop of guacamole.» The ‘avocado’ wasn’t the least bit fresh, was slimy and could barely be spotted under the eggs. I’ve had amazing avocado toast at many restaurants before and it always consisted of nicely seasoned, fresh avocado spread very thickly on fresh, bakery-made wheat toast. This was nothing like that. The potatoes that garnished the dish were barely browned and had no seasoning at all. The description of the pork burger on the specials board was very elaborate and sounded absolutely delectable. In reality, it was a bland pork patty on a white, kaiser roll with mayonnaise and cheese. The patty wasn’t the least bit browned, as if it had been microwaved instead of grilled. We even questioned if it had been cooked enough because it was very pink. A small child next to us vomited on his table and we assumed it was from the undercooked pork! «Spicy slaw» was a misnomer. It was absolutely tasteless. There were pickle slices as a garnish and we had to stop the server, who grabbed the plate before we’d finished, in order to scoop them off. It was a good move because they were the tastiest part of that dish. The staff was obviously in a hurry for us to leave so they could have our table. We requested hot sauce and 4 bottles of different types of sauce were delivered to us. We were using copious amounts on each item to give them some flavor. However, halfway through the meal, the server came to take the sauces away from us to give them to other customers, stating, «We’re running out of our hot sauces.» That wasn’t a surprise but a better solution would be to flavor the food rather than depend on the sauces for flavor. The coffee is described as ‘bottomless.’ I’d finished my coffee and the bit in the bottom of the cup had evaporated before we were able to get the server to bring more. Overall, the experience was lackluster and generally disappointing. I do however highly recommend the menu writer.

A great place to take someone for breakfast or lunch. Food is good. Specials are a cut above in originality. The décor is a calm a beautiful setting prices about the Same as most diners maybe a dollar or two more but worth it for the décor and service.

Found this on Unilocal. Got the mushroom Swiss omelette and it was amazing. Really great flavors. It was special, I loved it. Coffee is both super expensive($ 2.50) and not good. It’s bottomless which I think is how they justify the cost but it’s really weak and I think bottomless is standard for breakfast joints anyway. Server was friendly but then utterly disappeared. I would definitely go back.

Mitzi’s wins a lot of local«Best Of» awards so I was anxious to try it out, with very high expectations. Four of us went for brunch on Sunday. It was crowded, but nothing crazy in my opinion. We all ordered breakfast omelets and waited over 45 minutes for the food to arrive. I understand this place is busy and privately owned, but 45 minutes for 4 omelets? I’m sorry, that is not acceptable. When the food was finally ready, the owner/chef helped bring the plates to our table and I thought we would at least get a «I’m sorry for the wait», but we did not. I had the cheesesteak omelet andwas not impressed. Let’s just say, I NEVER use ketchup with my eggs/breakfast potatoes and I did for this meal. It was mediocre, definitely not award worthy. We did have the beignets and I will say they were amazing. When it was time to pay, I asked the owner if we could split the check evenly between two cards and that request was met with extreme annoyance. If it wasn’t for our very pleasant server, it would have been an overall bad experience.

A dear friend and I went to Mitzi’s for our monthly lunch date. I had the classic Mac and cheese. She had the fish tacos. We were both extremely happy with our meals. This is a great little place that we will certainly return to soon. Double check their hours. They are currently closed Monday and Tuesday. And they close around 2 or 3.

My girlfriend and I were visiting the area from NJ. We were so glad we followed another Unilocal members suggestion rather than grabbing brunch at a local diner! This place is ADORABLE. Great décor, great atmosphere, as well as friendly and attentive staff. All great things prior to even receiving the menu. The menu is expansive and sure to have something for everyone! I had the oatmeal French toast and my girlfriend had the philly omelet. When they came out the looked amazinggggg. And even better, they tasted it too! By far the best French toast I’ve ever had. The oatmeal crust was definitely unique. We were shocked by the giant bin of hot sauce brought over by our server for the omelet! Really cool :) I wish we lived closer so we can come for breakfast more often! Highly recommend to people in the area as well as visitors like us!

I love this place. As a pescetarian(and aspiring vegan) trying to eat healthy foods, I often find it difficult to find a place to eat where both myself and my carnivore, French toast loving friends can be happy. But this is that place. With vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free indicators on the menu, it works for everybody. They offer an eclectic and unexpected menu with everything from burgers and what I hear are amazing fries, to their own twists on ethnic favorites. Plus, always awesome specials and great service.

Found this place using Unilocal on our home to Virginia. The place was crowded and we had to wait for a table. The specials were clearly posted and menus available to look over while we waited. Our server, Michele, was very friendly. We were looking forwarded to the beignets, but they were sold out on our visit. Even though it is located in a small plaza, the atmosphere inside reminded me of an old fashioned dinner from the 1950s complete with music and coca-cola signage. We ordered the Nanner nutter pancakes and the cheesesteak omelette. Both plates had a generous portion of food. The food was as great as the overall experience. A must visit place if looking for breakfast or lunch while in the area.

Everything about this place is amazing. The best of 2015 sticker in it’s window was well deserved. It was a cookie fundraiser for a dear friend of mine awaiting a double lung transplant that brought us here. My wife and I ate here for late breakfast but would like to come back to try a sandwich for brunch. Cute little casual place in a strip mall but way beyond«mall» food. Appropriately they were playing Halloween music on this day the 31st of October. We both got bottomless cups of coffee, my wife got a side of water and I got a side of tomato juice. She decided to go with the Oatmeal French Toast, a thick cut oatmeal and brown sugar crusted ridiculously fluffy French toast served with maple butter and a side of syrup, It was a hefty portion so my wife asked for additional syrup. I tried a tiny piece and was a few slices of heaven. I went with the exquisitely cooked Eggs Benedict Florentine style. Poached Eggs(perfectly cooked, this aint your crappy overcooked Perkins style Benedict) on a scallion biscuit with fresh grilled spinach and tomato with a black pepper hollandaise. Seriously every morsel was divine. Everything tasting very fresh. For the cookie fundraiser we tried a caramel praline and sugar cookie with sprinkles as dessert to go. Seriously this is one of the best places to eat in the Lehigh Valley. We will be back.

This was my second experience here. The first one I was not impressed but I thought let’s give it another chance. Our waitress was rude and not very attentive. Now I might be out of line at this. I consider myself very experienced in dining but if you tell the waitress you just do not like something and she talks to the owner to please replace it with something else don’t most places accommodate you? The owner refused to replace one soup with another. I have never heard of this. Needless to say we won’t be back.

I discovered Mitzi’s several months ago when a friend posted on Facebook about it. I love to go out for brunch on weekends, and the place is near where I live, so I stopped in. I loved the retro décor immediately and it gave off a homey vibe that made me anxious to try the food. On that first visit I had the southwest benedict. It was amazing, and before I left I had already decided to come back the following weekend to try something else. The classic benedict is wonderful, plus I have had some other great variations on special, such as a recent duck confit benedict. A unique twist that is occasionally on special is a benedict served on salmon filets instead of a biscuit or English muffin, a great low-carb option when it’s available! I would say 70−80% I order breakfast, and I’ve never been disappointed! I sit at the front counter which usually means service from the owner. I go so frequently now(almost every Sunday) that before he even approaches me he pours the cup of coffee that he knows I’ll order! I often order from the specials menu because there are so many unique and flavorful creations. I watch the Facebook page where they post specials with photos, and often know what I’ll order before I even arrive. The service has been unbeatable. One specific example: The weekend before St Pat’s day they had specially made beignets with a Bailey’s infused cream and chocolate ganache drizzle. I had talked to a friend the night before about splitting an order. That morning, my friend got delayed and wasn’t going to arrive for about an hour. The owner split the order for me(I requested to pay for the full order on my check and surprise my friend), and made 2 of the 5 beignets for me, and the remaining 3 were made fresh for my friend when she arrived. I have also seen specials posted on Facebook during the week, and asked on the weekend(after new specials were posted) if they could make one of the previous specials, and they have accommodated the request. Oh, and I never leave without taking a couple apple dumplings(made with apples from local Scholl’s Orchard) to go for a quick lunch during the week! When I get there late enough to feel like I should order lunch, my go to favorite is the po boy with oysters and garlic parm fries. So delicious! Last tidbit: A family I am good friends with had a less than stellar experience at Mitzi’s not long after it opened. After hearing me rave about it, they decided to give it another try, and I ran into them there. They were so happy they gave it another chance, and said they will definitely return again! As others have mentioned, they gladly accept credit cards but strongly prefer cash, especially for the tips. Keep in mind that while it costs you the same, they have service fees on credit card payments. Support small business by bringing along a few bills, if you can. :-)

Food is good, service is hit or miss. I had the biscuits & gravy for our last Sunday brunch here, while my husband went for the nanner nutter pancakes. His was divine… my biscuits & gravy were pretty good but the eggs served with it weren’t nice & fluffy like I like my scrambled eggs. I added a side of homefries, which were delicious. Make sure to get some of their house-made hot sauces to try with them. Dessert to go was a big piece of chocolate cake… nice flavor, but a little dry. Service always seems to be the issue here. The owners are as sweet as pie, and whenever I see them, life is good. But some of their wait staff doesn’t seem to have an eye for keeping customers happy. I understand that food is going to take a bit at a place like this, but my water glass shouldn’t stay empty for 10+ minutes. And I get cranky when I’ve been sitting with empty plates on my table for more than 10 minutes while the server is standing up at the counter, chatting away. I’m more than happy to pay a premium for a nicer breakfast, but it should have better service than a random diner in exchange.
