St. James Gate Irish Pub And Carvery

Mediocre at best. The waitress didn’t engage us at all or tell us about the menu.
We ordered the calamari which was not good.
The Dublin steak fries, which were not cooked all the way.
I went to get a burger. It was just ok. Other reviews said they made good burgers but it was really just ok. My husbands burger was the bacon bbq. It had a half of a slice of bacon.
It was our anniversary and we got the crème brûlée. It was kinda gross. I only had a bite because I didn’t think it was worth the calories to finish. My husband thought it was pretty good. So split opinion on that.
I wish we would have went to emrils burger joint.

I found this place to be excellent. Great service and the food was outstanding. The burger I had was cooked perfectly, it was so much better than the burger I had at the Emeril burger place on the other side of the casino. The flat bread and sweet potato fries were just great.
I will definitely come back here.

It was alright at best.
I’m a big meat and potatoes guy, I had high hopes.
My steak was bland and the potato was plain. I’ve said it before in other posts but a potato should be oil and salted before you put it in the oven to cook.
Took forever to be seated.
packed with people and line waiting but I watched tables sit empty for quite awhile.
It was very busy thought so perhaps they were just short staffed.
Would I eat here again… I guess.
It wasn’t bad exactly. Just not very good.
I’d like to give it another shot so perhaps next time I’m in the casino and they are open as they hold limited and odd hours.

This is a nice little Irish themed pub inside the Sands casino. I needed to wait a while to get a table at Emeril’s restaurant so I decided to check this place out. The seating at the bar is comfortable and they’ve got televisions on the wall with ESPN on. I ordered the bacon blue cheese burger and a pint of Guinness. It’s always great when you can get Guinness on draft. The burger was delicious and came with excellent French fries and a pickle. If I come back I will try the Irish dishes like shepherds pie.

I like this place ouy of all the restaurants in the Sands. You are greeted quickly and seated even quicker when it is not busy. our server came as soon as we were seated and took our drink orders. We have never had any complaints about the food. It comes hot and its always good. Portion control is great and the price is median to the other places in the casino. Great Irish bar experience.

Worst dining experience ever! Can’t decide which was worse, the waitress or the kitchen. The manager kept trying to apologize, yet had no problem charging us for a club soda. I will say they had a pretty decent beer selection though. I have always enjoyed eating at the sands in Bethlehem however I will not be dining at this establishment again. Ended up eating a sandwich from the food court. In the parking lot. It was delicious.
I will be leaving the market a 5-​star review for the turkey and chicken sandwiches.

This is a strange place. Waited in line with 3 or 4 other couples for over 10 minutes while the hostess struggled staring at her computer screen to try and change a reservation for one person. She never acknowledged the people in line or even made eye contact. Manager came by twice, did not help or try to move things along. When that was over we were told there were no tables available except a high top and a counter area. This is even though there were at least six empty tables in sight. The picture is of an empty table next to the counter area we sat at that remained empty the entire time we were there. Food is ok, average selection of drinks. They could increase revenue by seating empty tables. For the lack of customer service or even concern for their customers I would not go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone.
