Everyone tells me, «Wow! That is so brave buying a house site unseen,» but when you have full confidence in your realtor, it’s not a daunting experience at all.
Once I’d narrowed my search to the Lehigh Valley and more specifically Allentown, I couldn’t find a realtor that would follow through after the original communication. I was extremely frustrated and eventually searched for an agent on Unilocal and I found Tammy.
I can’t say enough good things about my experience working with Tammy to purchase my home. Unlike many Realtors I’d spoken to she wasn’t condescending and seemed genuinely excited to work with me. She never failed to follow through and was very proactive in recommending properties or rejecting others about which I inquired.
Tammy explained to me the differences between Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton and told me that she felt that I would fit in quite well with the artist culture here in Easton. She definitely steered me in the right direction and I’m extremely happy with the City and with my home.
I was working with her from across the country and since we’d not met in person, she had to rely a lot on her own experience and intuition to get a feel for my character and personality and to scrutinize the properties and locations that I asked her to check based on those criteria. She was very forthcoming about the pros and cons of each neighborhood. I felt from day one that she wasn’t only interested in making a sale but ensuring that I was going to be very happy with my decision.
She would take photos and videos and send them to me. She would also frankly state, «I didn’t even bother to take photos of that home because you wouldn’t be happy there.»
The most important aspect when purchasing a home is to feel absolutely confident that your agent is working in your best interest and that is exactly how I felt.

I interviewed her to get a feeling for what kind of agent she was and she was extremely friendly, asked all of the right questions without being overwhelming and didn’t use a lot of industry jargon. Once I signed on to work with Tammy the search for a house went relatively quickly and after we looked at some homes she helped me work through the mountain of required paperwork and was always on top of all of the time lines and schedules that are necessary to get to the closing table.
I settled on my house on ⁹⁄₃₀ and even after the settlement she’s been working with me on resolving an issue that I’m having with my mortgage lender. The fact that she’s working with me even AFTER the settlement says a lot about the kind of person she is. Caring for the customer after the sale is rare in today’s world and I really appreciate it. Her amazing service, attention to detail and unbelievable availability are only some of the reasons that I can’t recommend Tammy Huk highly enough to anyone looking to buy a home in the Lehigh Valley.
