We loved the music in the«French» room. The ambience in this restaurant is great; makes you feel like you’re across the pond. I loved that, for dessert, I could order a sweet bananas Foster crêpe from the French Le Cachette menu. I ordered the ½ size version and it was large enough for me. Our server Mary-Noël is excellent. Enjoyed the strawberry peach sangria. Judging by its color, it was made with white wine. Enjoyed their ensalada verde, which includes strawberries and candied nuts. I ordered the dressing only on the side and used very little of it; it was OK but not great. I loved the vegetarian paella entrée. Was so excited that I finally got to order paella in a restaurant. It had maybe 20 ingredients. Such an explosion of tastes. I was so excited every time I found a new vegetable. From memory: mushrooms, onions, red peppers, zucchini, asparagus. I can’t remember the others but there were others. Not spicy but I enjoyed the taste just the way it was. Parking was a challenge on a weekend in June but we finally found a space a block or two away. Enjoyed peaking inside historic Hotel Bethlehem across the street and down the block. There are many interesting historic items to peruse, such as old historic menus(lunch 10 cents?)

Excellent Spanish tapas!!! I must admit that this was better then the Spanish places we have in center city Philadelphia. The service was exceptional too. Must try include sangria flights, pork belly flat bread, paella and I wish I had room for desert. Overall I would return in a heart beat!

Drinks are great! The sangria list has about 9 choices. I’m not into sweet drinks, I got the sparkling grapefruit lime and its great! The atmosphere is intimate and great for small groups.

disregard this entry. nothing was satisfying. the food, preparation, quality, wine(been shelved way too long and was acidic) or the waitresses ability to remember what was ordered or bottled wine in stock. im done with this place.

Great food, service and drinks! The atmosphere is also pleasant whether you’re dining inside or outside. I also love that they allow dogs!

The paella was def. not worth the price, lacked in flavor big time and tasted like it needed A LOT of salt and adobo! wish I had tried more tapas but we did order the lamb chops and the plate was swimming in blood! gross first impression. the churros were just ok. I’m from NYC and have had better churros from Mexican ladies selling from their carts.

I was in town for a show at the Sands Casino, and let me say, I will definitely be stopping in whenever we are in town, and with much more time to spare! We ordered the Blood Orange Sangria, and then a few of their tapas. Not one was bad, all delish. It felt very NY’ish in atmosphere(you can sit out on the sidewalk if you’d like), food quality and servers. We honestly left with just enough time to see the show, but had we not had those plans, I definitely would have hung out there longer.

I was here about 2 weeks ago and sat at the bar. It was raining so the place was kind of slow. Service was great, food was really good. The bartender Jay was fun and interactive which made the visit even greater. Loved the music and the ambiance. Next time we’ll be in town will stop by and visit.

We have been here several times, but tonight’s dinner has been the best ever! The waitress was super attentive and the food and drink was awesome! We had blackberry sangria which was incredible and we had hummus with chorizo and extra warm and tasty pita, incredible garlic shrimp, awesome scallops, and quinoa lettuce chicken wraps. It was a delicious dinner that was great. The manager checked on us several times and we were attended to like royalty. If you are in the area, you cannot go wrong with eating here!!!

Delicious little tapas. Small plates filled with delicious taste. My favorite was the truffle fries, my boyfriend loved the lamb Chops(well done), we had dates wrapped with bacon and we also had flourless chocolate cake(get with ice cream). The Gypsies are a good way to see and taste the sangria that taste best. I loved the pear… Felt a little rushed at the end but that’s okay we had some shopping to do even though we probably would have ordered another pitcher of pear sangria. Also we sat right by where employees were talking about personal things lol very entertaining … Very spacious too !!! We were seated right away … I didn’t want to forget that part. I definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I met 2 other couples in Bethlehem on the evening of Easter Sunday and were looking for a place to get dinner and drinks. Tapas on Main had previously been a good experience for us and it was one of the few restaurants in Bethlehem that was open due to the holiday, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived(close to 8 pm) and we decided to sit at the bar. After ordering an IPA the bartender told us that they didn’t have any IPAs due to many being recently sold. They did have Bass Ale, and this was the first clue that she wasn’t a knowledgeable bartender. My friend ordered a whiskey neat which the bartender served by shaking the whiskey with ice in a mixer and pouring it into a glass. Whatever was in the shaker previously left particles in the whiskey so my friend returned it. My wife and I ordered our food — chicken flatbread pizza and soup. Then one of the couples arrived(they were running behind) just before 8 o’clock. They tried to order dinner and were told by the bartender that the kitchen was already closed. She offered to ask the manager who came over and told us that the restaurant was closing at 8 and the kitchen was no longer serving. It wasn’t 8 yet but it seemed beside the point to insist on service when they clearly didn’t want to give it. The manager offered no remedy or options until my friend asked if there was something easy for them to make that they would be willing to serve. She begrudgingly said she would check and left. She returned a few moments later to tell us that they could make a meat & cheese plate. My friends declined and waited without food or drink while my wife and I quickly ate our average tasting food which had since arrived. It was a very awkward few minutes after which we all left and went to Hotel Bethlehem where we were cheerfully served. Restaurants are in the hospitality business, and when a restaurant has customers, those customers should be taken care of(within reason) until they are satisfied and leave. Especially customers that are asking to give their money to the restaurant. Clearly the manager had somewhere else to be that was more important to her than taking care of paying customers. The way a restaurant like Tapas on Main differentiates itself by offering superior food and atmosphere, otherwise it could not justify its high prices. In my opinion the food was not above average and the experience was dismal. I wish I could give a zero stars rating and will never return there again. Life is too short to patronize businesses that take business for granted!

Second time here. Bethlehem is experiencing a resurgence and this place is one of the leaders. The Blood orange sangria is the bomb! Had mini open faced sandwiches; perinil, portobello, and jamon serrano. Each excellent. Each very different from the other. Would come back in a second.

We walked here from the Hyatt for lunch on a Monday afternoon. It happened to be the start of Winter Restaurant Week 2016 so there was a lunch special for $ 15. It included 3 courses of your choosing from their list. I chose the Albondigas for my first course — ground turkey and chorizo meatballs with smoked mozzarella in a pomodoro tomato sauce. They were okay, nothing like I would have made myself. I like things a bit more flavorful and these were a little bland. The ingredients were very fresh though. For my second course, I chose the Coca de Camarones — shrimp, bacon and Gouda cheese, scallions and chipotle oil. It was served on a flat bread. This was very flavorful and I would order it again. I chose Chocolate Flan for the last course and needed my husband’s help finishing. He gladly did, although he says he doesn’t like flan. This was very rich in chocolate and not too sweet. We were all ready for a nap after this huge lunch! I heard that they are having $ 15 paella on Wednesday! Well be back.

Well, it’s been years and it seems like something’s been lost. The hummus was bland. Blue Crab croquettes were very good. Calamari was good but didn’t stand out from any other restaurant’s. On to the biggest disappointment… our server really let us down. We had ordered the seafood paella but the server ultimately brought out the vegetarian instead. We caught it immediately and instead of whisking it away and bringing us what we wanted… the server retreated to his ordering kiosk. I assumed he was going to bring back the right dish, but instead he came back and explained how the buttons are close to each other. Mess-ups made by the staff should be handled with an attitude of contrition and a commitment to make it right for the customer, not awkward silence or explanations of how it went wrong. I guess somewhere in the awkwardness we consented to keep the dish. The worst part was that the dish, objectively speaking, was bland… there didn’t seem to be a hint of flavor within at least 20 feet of the dish and the veggies were uninteresting. Almost $ 19 for basic rice and some veggies compounded the disappointment.

Quaint and trendy. The staff was very nice and didn’t give me a hard time when I screwed up my order. I had the blue crab croquettes, steak and chorizo paella and churros for dessert. The food was good – but needed a little salt. I even stayed for the live band. One thing to note: you must eat the churros in-house. The money you walk out of the door, the get soggy and tasteless.

Went for Restaurant Week, our waiter Brandon was awesome — very attentive and just had a great personality. Ordered: Chicken Flatbread(non RW) Crab Bisque Hanger Steak Churros & Ice Cream Three Gypsies Sangria Sampler The appetizers were good, chicken flatbread has a nice flavor and was visually really appealing. The crab bisque was not my favorite as it didn’t have any real texture. Nothing overly exceptional but tasty nonetheless. The hanger steak. Oh. My. God. Amazing. The craziest combo of flavors that just meshed into something insane — the steak was cooked perfectly to our choices, the sauce combo was ridiculous, and the Brussel sprouts and chorizo were awesome. Churros & ice cream is hard to mess up, yet is something I don’t think I’ve ever even seen at a restaurant. Very good but could’ve used a little more ice cream. The Sangria Sampler is what I’ll end up visiting most often for. Awesome choices — got cranberry apple red, classic red, & pomegranate. Very good and just classy. Overall this was a really solid meal choice and we both thought it was executed well. Awesome service, beautiful plating, and overall tasty. If I could recommend one thing it would be to watch the temperatures of the food. Everything came out extremely quick but I felt as though everything from the steak to the soup to the churros & ice cream were the exact same temperature which was a little odd.

I planned a small family gathering here for my mom’s 60th birthday on a Sunday night. They were very accommodating and let me bring a few decorations(huge 60th birthday balloon, confetti for the table, and I taped a little message to a few of the cups). They also let me bring in a special vegan birthday cake with candles and a cake topper that they brought out as a surprise for my mom at the end. The food was good too and reasonably priced, and the service was great as well. We shared a bunch of dishes, including the hummus, spinach dip, mushroom croquettes, vegetarian flatbrad, and a few more. I was bummed they were out of one of the other mushroom dishes, but it worked out okay. They don’t have many vegan options, but there are vegetarian options. It would be nice to see more veg options that don’t contain dairy. There is no free parking lot — I parked at a metered spot down the street, but it was free since it was Sunday.

If you have time for a long meal, then come here. We came here for lunch one weekday but didn’t anticipate having a two hour dining experience. We weren’t in a rush but I’m also not a fan of sitting in a restaurant on a weekday for that long. Our server was very nice and suggested some of his favorite menu items and drinks. We ordered most of the vegetarian dishes on the menu(not the sandwich or salad) and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. I wouldn’t necessarily order the hummus again but that’s because it was nothing special. The berenjena rellena was my favorite and next time we go, I’ll probably just order that. Overall, gorgeous restaurant with flavorful food but slow service.

We got setas al ajo, costillas de cordero, calamares fritos from the tapas menu and mixed sangrias. I sat outside, but the atmosphere looks really nice inside:) good for dates or friend gatherings. Setas al ajo(assorted mushrooms): tastes really good but missing a refreshing ingredient in my opinion, starts to taste heavy after a while. Also the portion is a bit small. Costillas de cordero(lamb chops): the potatoes and the sauce was tasty. Lamb chops were a bit on the dry side, should have been more tender. There are 3 chops on each portion. Calamares fritos(fried calamari): soft, delicious calamari. Fried perfectly. Really good choice. I think it was seasoned with ground lime salt.(Maybe a bit less would be better) I liked all three sangrias that i have tried. My favorite was the one with blood orange and raspberries. Classic is good too. The one with pineapple too. Well, i said all:)

Tapas restaurants are always fun because of the opportunity to try many things for a small price. Tapas on Main had a nice selection of sangria and small plates. The three gypsies was a sangria sampler, we tried the sparkling pear, cranberry apple and persimmon. They were all great, especially the sparkling pear. Next we tried the potato leek croquettes and squash soup which were both a huge hit with the vegetarians at the table. I had the lamb chops with the fingerling potatoes. The lamb was glazed with honey and garnished with spinach. Definitely yummy. And finally we tried the garlic mushrooms and the pollo coca. Both weren’t anything special. The chicken was on the chewy side, the cheese on the flat bread was not melted, and the flat bread itself was a little tough. Overall, it was a nice dinner.
