I went here for restaurant week and loved it! I was seated on «lovers lane» which was private and quiet. Our waiter was fantastic with perfect timing for our next course. The food was fresh and delicious.

I’ve been to other fondue restaurants, and to other Melting Pot locations, but this experience was the the best fondue experience, and the best dining experience I’ve ever had. I made a reservation in advance, and they seated us promptly. I asked for a more private booth, if possible as this was our 5-year anniversary when making the reservation and they placed us in «Lover’s Lane». It was intimate, romantic, and quiet! You could also dim the lights. We had the 4 course experience, and each course was delicious. Our server, Damarys was patient, kind and accommodating. When we asked if they served Dr. Pepper, they said no, but left the restaurant to get some for us; that’s quite some service. The manager, Michael, checked on tables often, as did Damarys, but they did so without being obtrusive. When our dessert course came, they brought us a plate that said Happy Anniversary on it with a candle — a really nice touch! We had the Bananas Foster dessert and the flambé made the experience more special. We were there for nearly 3 hours. It was the highlight of our weekend. It IS pricey, but you have to know that going in; it’s why we saved an experience like this for something special. Parking can be a pain. You don’t have to pay after 9 pm though. I would bring change because the parking«app» used in Bethlehem is a joke unless you’re going there all the time(charges you $ 20 even if you only need $ 1.50). All in all, a fantastic experience.

Simply fantastic. My girlfriend and I went here to celebrate her birthday and when I called ahead I asked for seating at the couple’s tables in the back. They are small, isolated booths which are very romantic and have a single burner to share. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, she let us know the various ways in which we could order, and we decided to choose our own three meats as part of the«Fondue by You» experience. We ended up doing a four-course dinner consisting of cheese fondue, salad, entrees, and a chocolate fondue dessert. Each course was evenly spaced out, we didn’t feel rushed, nor was the service too slow either. It was fun to be able to watch the cheese and chocolate fondues being made in front of our eyes, and cook our own meats and vegetables in the broth we picked out. Our waitress even brought out a little cake to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday — it was extremely thoughtful and unexpected. In all, we were at the restaurant for a little under 2 hours, to give a sense of the time the courses were brought out. The only drawback is the price — it’s expensive. Be ready to pay $ 40 a person just for the four-course meal, plus 7 – 10 dollar mixed drinks. Our total bill for two was $ 100 before tip — but honestly it was worth it for the experience. Perhaps if I was in a louder part of the restaurant I wouldn’t have enjoyed the experience as much, so I highly suggest asking in advance for a couples table in the back, as it made the atmosphere just much more quiet and intimate. Thanks to The Melting Pot for such an awesome night! I will be recommending it to all my friends and family this holiday season.

The food is the only positive. My apartment comes here every year to celebrate for the Christmas season. Every time we’ve been here before we come for cheese and chocolate and it’s around 20 dollars for everyone. Tonight it was 91 dollars, which is ridiculous. Not explained well at all and we could have gotten two full course meals for that price. Not coming back.

Only star is for the server-actor. We were served pieces of food that looked like they were left over from previous customers. The potatoes were black. I think the server should have noticed this. Totally overpriced. Bad experience, especially for a birthday celebration. Don’t go here.

Cutesy concept– good service. Execution needs help but the food is god awful. Boiling meat and dipping cauliflower into cheese, rice krispy cakes and brownies for desert? This place is way way over priced. Just not good.

Fun dining experience. Very friendly staff. Still think it is too pricey for what is just boiled meat as a main course. Still, we keep going back. Had both of my daughter’s 18th birthday dinners here and have taken several family members for special occasions. Always enjoy and walk away full. Best enjoyed with a small group(4 – 6 people) so you can share pots.

Bottom line, the entire staff needs retraining in customer service and checking food for freshness. We visited The Melting Pot in Bethlehem to cap off a birthday weekend. From the time we entered the restaurant on a slow Sunday night, we experienced a standoffish attitude from the host and manager for not calling ahead and only wanting dessert. The waitress was not much better. She was curt, inattentive and made us feel rushed to leave. To top it off, the fruit we received was moldy. When we told the waitress and the manager of the issue, we received little more than a shrug. The entire disappointing experience made us feel unwelcome and unappreciated as customers.

Quick review… Great atmosphere, very good food if you are a little adventurous — biggest knock is how expensive is for what you get. You pay a little bit extra for the experience.

The taste is just okay. They just warm up the cheese and dip it with veges and Bread. And what’s after the melting cheese is a boiling soup. What’s most disappointing is some table Order the BLUECHEESEPOT! What! I was sitting five tables away from them, and I can STILLSMELL it! If you want to experience how to cook, just stay at home!

I had my daughter’s surprise 18th birthday here last night. It was very good. It is very expensive, though. Definitely a bit overpriced. I was, however, willing to overpay for such a unique experience. I enjoyed the cheese, salad, and dessert courses more than the entrée. I also think I’d be less shy about skipping the raw vegetables and having more bread for the cheese fondue course. Not the healthiest option, but likely the tastiest. Also don’t be afraid to ask for containers to bring home the large amounts of cheese that will probably be left over like it was for us. You’ll be happy you did! The party was a hit, everyone enjoyed it. Was the first time for everyone at the party and we were all a bit awkward at first, every one of us dropping our dippers into the pot until we got used to it. That was part of the fun. We all had good laughs along the way and we were all pros by the end of the night.

We love this melting pot and it’s rare if we don’t come back at least once a month! Elliott is by far one f the best waiters you can get here so be sure to request him! When I remember back to the first time I tried a melting pot I was so hesitant but I’m glad I did! Fondue is by far an awesome experience and its a nice slow dinner especially if you are with people you want to spend extra time with! No matter what you choose its excellent… The only problem is there is never enough room for dessert!!! :)

I agree with the overriding sentiment that the MP is certainly unique and it’s a great experience but I can’t drink the five star Kool-Aid for two reasons. * The place is wildly overpriced for what is offered. I get it that they have to charge what they do seeing as if they’re lucky maybe each tables sees two seatings a night but even still price wise it’s a ripoff. It shouldn’t come to nearly $ 150 for four people when two are children and no alcohol is involved. * Everything takes way, way too long. For this visit we came on a Thursday night and from the time we walked in the front door until we walked out it was a luscious two hours and forty-three minutes. While the MP process of eating/cooking is inherently slow, this was just stupid. Our guy«J» was super friendly and while the place was maybe half full he was stretched too thin with too many spread out tables which led to very long waits. Two separate times he said he would procure a drink refill only to have a manager-type come by later asking if we needed anything while neither brought the aforementioned drink until being asked a third time or at the end where it took over fifteen minutes for the check after he said he would be right back with it. In terms of the food, nothing is terrible(good shrimp & sirloin) but nothing is over overwhelmingly good(chicken is a flavorless waste & the candied nuts on the Caesar salad are bizarre) and if there is one complaint here it’s the cheese and the cooking broth both taste very oversalted/seasoned. I should also mention for the sake of fairness that I’m not a chocolate person so the orgasmic highs that people get coming here because of the chocolate course do nothing for me. Overall MP is a decent special occasion gimmick that can be a fun experience no doubt, just don’t expect to be blown away with anything, except for the price. (Also a word to the wise about parking. Free parking in the area is more or less impossible unless you’d like a nice walk and all of the meters which are close by only have two hour max time limits which won’t get the job done if you come here. Don’t risk not going out to pay for more time as the city’s gestapo parking authority will tag you and bag you if you doddle more than a few minutes.)

I love this place! My husband and I have been here twice and both experiences have been fantastic. Recently, we went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were surprised with a plate decorated in chocolate with a «Happy Anniversary», with a rose, complimentary champagne and a picture of us, framed. It was a really nice experience. The service here for is always pleasant and the food delicious! Definitely worth 5 stars, and more!

We had dinner her for my bachelorette party and it was extremely fun. The two waiters we had where very nice and accommodating. We had a nice table away from everyone so we could be a little loud and not worry about bothering people. The food is amazing and extremely filling. It is a little expensive but worth it. They even made me a special plate because it was my bachelorette party. Just a very good time! I am definitely eating here again!

I went here a couple of months ago while visiting a friend in the area. We decided to do just the cheese and dessert courses… way cheaper than the full 4 course meal and I left full and satisfied. For the cheese, we got the spinach artichoke. Super yummy! I love that they give you a variety of dippers. For the chocolate, we just went for the classic dark… sometimes simple is best. The fruit and the poundcake were my favorite dippers as the other ones were a bit too sweet/rich for my taste. Next time, I think I would specifically request to substitute fruit. They seemed to be very accommodating in that department. And who doesn’t love fruit slathered in chocolate? The only disappointing part of our meal was the drinks. I ordered the lemon berry mojito and my friend ordered the sangria. Both were horrible. I’ll be sure to stick with something simpler next time.

Everyone at this restaurant appears to be very friendly and knowledgable about what they are doing. The fondue is EXCELLENT, I absolutely love the Alpine fondue. I’m not that crazy about the steak course, being boiled in the broth and all, but everyone’s different. The steak course is rather small too for the price. My favorite entrée to get would probably be the Orange ginger duck. After being boiled by me at my table(love it) it gets so tender and delicious. I always start off adding the vegetables in and cooking them first it helps add flavor to the duck in my opinion. The dessert fondue is alright. I don’t normally add this to my meal though. There’s plenty of items given to dip into the chocolate. The atmosphere of the melting pots are very dark and romantic, as well as quiet with decent music playing. Defiantly would recommend.

My favorite restaurant for any occasion. Love coming here with family or in a group. Not just a meal, it’s an experience. Don’t be shy to tell them if it’s your first visit, they WILL take care of you. The price tag is steep but the food quality and service are excellent. This place is a gem!

This was such a fun experience! I think the fact that they will bring you more items(excluding the entrée meats) as you need or want them makes the price for this«experience» very reasonable! I mean four courses of tasty food, 2 hours of amazing fun conversation and experimenting with different flavors topped off with incredible service! You can’t go wrong!!! Mike was our server and he walked us through the whole process and made some great recommendations, we chose the cheddar and the classic alpine for our cheese course and it was a great choice for the six of us. The salad was so fresh and tasty then came our entrees for which we chose the mojo and bourguignonne cooking style, some of us really don’t like shrimp and they didn’t mind substituting something else for it which was great. Finally… The most anticipated course… yes! The CHOCOLATE!!! It was incredible and I can’t say enough about it! Definitely a grand finale for a truly amazing experience one of which will be repeated again! Oh and we ALL left completely stuffed!
