I recently needed some very minor electrical work done and since I live in an older house I opted to call a professional since I’m not an electrician nor do I play one on TV. I initially contacted Werkheiser on a Wednesday and they contacted me first thing the next day on Thursday and told me that they hoped to get someone out that day but if not it would be the first thing the next day. Even though I made it clear to call my cell phone and not my home phone the owner called me on Friday on my home phone and I initially missed his call but eventually we connected and he told that they only work four ten hour days so Friday was now also not an option. We eventually agreed to a time on Monday morning. Thankfully one of the guys did show up on time on Monday and took care of things in about a half an hour and he was fast, courteous, and did the job right. The bizarre followup is that the bill for the job showed up in the mail two or three days later and I paid them via check but it has now been a few weeks and they have yet to cash it. Not the I’m complaining about keeping my money, but nothing irks me more than when you write someone a check for something and then they sit on it for a month before cashing it. Overall the experience with Werkheiser was a decent one. I wish they could have gotten to me on Friday like I was initially told but seeing as my issue was small compared to their average call I understand having to wait.
