I reserved a room for some family members who were staying for an event. The location is quiet, semi-rural, and very picturesque, near Black River, in a revolutionary era home near historic Bethlehem. The furnishings are vintage, so those superbeds you find in business hotels aren’t there The staff is very attentive. There is also a great restaurant up the road — Yanni’s.

The staff at this Inn could not be more accommodating. I had to modify a reservation and they were wonderful! What could have been a headache was a breeze. What a relief to do business with such nice people!

I would give this 2.5 stars. The morning staff was great and the breakfast excellent. The location was very pretty, though you’ll need to drive or call a cab to see much of the city. Our primary complaint was the room temperature. It was a warm weekend and there was no way to adjust the ac, most of the windows could not be opened and the ones that could had no screens, and the only«fan» was a very noisy, ancient, small, metal desk fan. The room was extremely stuffy. Also, there is significant road noise, which is much worse with an open window. I didn’t sleep at all. Their marketing material makes it seems like the bedding et al are very nice and higher end, but the double bed was more like an ancient camp bed and the coverings were also old. I’d stay at a local chain over this location again. Our fault for waiting too long to book, but we could’ve stayed in a chain and I chose this instead. Not again. Had the room been a comfortable temperature with comfortable bedding I’d have been able to cope. I’d rather have sleep on an air mattress at a family member’s.
