I’ve been coming here for a long time, since they opened. They are currently under new management. While the new owner isn’t as friendly as the old one, the place is consistent and clean. I appreciate not having to make an appointment and the quality and price. Prices are competitive for the area. I usually get a pedicure. It’s $ 17. The specialty pedicures, ranging from 25 – 35 are also great. I’ve never had to wait long and have always had a pleasant experience.

I’ve been coming to this salon on and off the past 2 years, but the past year pretty much religiously unless I’m out of state. The original owner, Louie(?) was great! But now there’s a new owner, Casey, he’s also great! He almost always does my nails, I prefer him. If i couldn’t get him, I try to get one of the older ladies… They seem to be a little more friendly, speak more English and just in general better at what they do than the younger ladies who work there. I’ve never personally had a bad experience with Any nail tech that works there, but my friend(male) had a problem with one of the younger ladies they work there. Not sure of her name. His cuticles and overall shape of nails looks terrible. He also felt rushed. However, this is my favorite nail salon hands down. The décor is nice, not a fan of the carpeting, but oh well! They changed it after Casey came in. Place is always clean, they use disposable files and buffers for mani/pedis, super clean, super friendly. Love it. Feels like home. Definitely a place worth checking out. Prices are normal for the area, give or take a few bucks. Try to make an appointment even if it’s 15 – 20 min before you show up. I’ve never waited longer than 5 min. They are never busy on Sunday’s. I usually go on Saturday or Sunday. Saturday is very busy, of course. Always make an appointment if going on Saturday.

I wanted to update because it looks like the nail salon is under new ownership. You don’t get your nails done for a month and everything changes! I walked in for a gel manicure and was greeted with a smile by the whole staff and when I asked where Louie(the owner) was, they told me he was on a «long, long vacation». I’m bummed because I, along with the rest of the customers, really like Louie. I came at 5:30 on a Wednesday and had no wait as usual. They had new gel polishes which was awesome. Lots of new pretty colors. The manicure was similar to when it had the previous ownership. I had friendly conversation with my manicurist, Kathy, who I assume is the new owner/manager. I got a design on my nail(a flower) and learned that they aren’t terribly skilled with designs. In fact, the new staff can’t even do a basic shape which is rough. The previous staff wasn’t great at it but the last 2 designs I got under new ownership were just plain bad(see photos). Where Kathy lacked in design, she made up in massage. Lots of places consider a complimentary massage just rubbing lotion into your skin and it isn’t even worth it, but Kathy really worked out the knots in my shoulders and it was pretty long considering it was complimentary. I was happy with this. Anyway, I deducted a star from my previous review because their poor design skill really bothers me. I feel like this is an important skill when you are a nail tech and they totally fail to deliver. If you want an uncomplicated manicure, this is still your place.

Raiders, put on your tier 6 gear and let’s go storm scarlet monaster-WAIT… I mean girls pick out your colors and lets get a mani-pedi? Teehee? Giggle? Right, so this place is named Epic nails. It’s run by this really friendly guy who sits at the front desk and obsessively plays WoW(world of Warcraft) all day. For real. He occasionally takes breaks from ganking noobs to fill in some pretty pink acrylic sets for girls who’ve probably never touched a PS3 controller in their life. The nail techs(workers? ladies?) here are a total hit or miss. Most of the older ones are sweet and detail oriented while the younger ones tend to care … less. I never get anything but manicures and pedicures(Seriously, I wouldn’t know the first thing about fake nails, except how to puncture my eye with them) so this is all based on that. The last time I was here the girl rushed my pedicure, to which by the way was LESS then 10 minutes and manhandled my hands and cuticles. I probably said«OUCH!» about 5 times. The girl couldn’t even fake a smile when I made a joke. Seriously, don’t they realize that their customers come here to RELAX, right? Apart from the staff, the place is really nice. It’d give it an A– on cleanliness so I’m never too worried about the ominous chance of catching a fungus. The studio next door is often loud so you’ll be listening to beyonce’s latest hit while trying to melt in the vibrating pedicure chair. Mani/Pedis are $ 20 Mon-Weds. Good deal, take it or leave it for it’s quirks.
