I love the retro look of this restaurant, and you can’t go wrong with«Breakfast Anytime.» Pancakes are amazing! I also had the Eggs Benedict, very generous in proportions, with a big slab of ham on each muffin and loads of hollandaise sauce. Staff is friendly. I look for 3 things when I eat out(besides, of course, the food!). Keep my glass/cup full, be attentive, and adiós my dirty plates promptly. #1 they did like champs. #2 was hit and miss. There was the interruptosaurus who felt that her personal conversation with my server was more important than mine — same girl that continued chit-chatting as I was paying my check. OK, it’s a small place, you’re all friends, casual atmosphere blah blah blah. But when I’m handing you my credit card I’d better be the center of your attention. #3 — fuggedaboudit. 2 ladies behind the counter(where I was sitting), neither of whom noticed my scraped clean plate for 10 minutes. When I went to pay it was still sitting there. I’d like to patent that cloaking technology. Still, 4 stars because food was great and service wasn’t rude, just inattentive.

Consistently good and licketty-split getting the food out fast and hot! Excellent pancakes, omelets, and skillets and friendly staff! Only negatives are the small size building and limited choice options on omelets, if that’s even a negative. Definitely a very good breakfast spot for early birds like us.

Probably the best pancake house in the Quad Cities. Also has the best corned beef hash. Nice cozy diner and great service from drinks to real quick meals being served. If you haven’t been here for breakfast, you’re missing out!

This place was fantastic! When we got there, there was a good wait ahead of us, but we got say deceptively quick. The staff was friendly and the food was phenomenal! Will definitely go back!

My husband and I tried this today and we were very impressed. Pros were that the staff was very friendly and the food was served super fast. The prices were reasonable for the portion size. The cons were the seating was a little small and you could hear the chatter between the staff but I loved our visit and will go back for sure.

I’ve always claimed that QC Pancake house was the best breakfast in the QC. Every so often, someone challenges me and says that Jimmy’s is better. Let’s just say I was very disappointed. Here is why: I got the mexican skillet. For starters, it was a little cold. It was more expensive than QCPH skillets and the portion was WAY small. Also, QCPH toast is even better. My wife got the Tiramisu pancakes and they were so dry I almost choked on them. QCPH crappy diner coffee is better, also. Sorry Jimmy’s, but QCPH still has the Best Breakfast in the QC Championship Belt

Only been there once, worth every bite. Had to wait for maybe 5 minutes, no problem waiting for good hot food like theirs, Waitress came back just in time every time to check on us.

Went here on Saturday morning. This is a small place and busy. But, we were able to get seated without much of a wait. Had a meatlovers skillet with a side of pancakes. The pancakes were huge and I had to share them. Very good flavor and cooked just right. Waitress was attentive and had a really good experience here. Great local breakfast place that beats any chain restaurant any day. The only hangups I have are I wish they were in a bigger location with a bigger parking lot and that they had different flavors of syrup. But, that won’t keep me from coming back. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent breakfast! Chopped steak cooked perfect medium rare. Poached eggs were perfect as well. My husband had over medium, which were more like over hard. But he still liked them. Great service. My only suggestion is… get flavored cream.

Staff is awesome and the pancakes are just as awesome as you’d expect, if not better. Quick service and friendly. The skillets are incredible as well and I would recommend the Mexican skillet with banana pancakes on the side. Unbeatable!

Good breakfast food, especially the banana pancakes. Avoid the church crowd on weekends, the place fills up quickly.

The only negative thing I can say about Jimmy’s is the size of the restaurant, with food this good they definitely need to expand. Seating is sparse, but staff and food made up for this. Worth the wait

Very good! It’s small, and sometimes there’s a wait for a table, but once you’re seating and waited on, the food comes FAST! Never had anything bad from here. Service is always great. Prices are good! DONOTPARKATDAIRYQUEEN!!! Even if it’s the dead of winter at 7am, you WILL have to move your car. The owner of Dairy Queen does not let you park there.

Wait staff anticipates needs and is very nice. Food is great. I did the greek omlet and added hash and it was awesome. Pancakes are fluffy and the staff suggested peanut butter which was great. Serving size was amazing. His staff really makes this place sparkle, but the food was amazing as well. As for the bacon, people have different prefrences– I love love crisp but it was sent out perfect(but not crisp and I did not ask) and I enjoyed it with crisp and chewy texture.

Best pancakes I’ve ever had. And I hate pancakes. Was on a college visit to Auggie. Heard great things about this place. They were right. NICEST wait staff around, I mean THENICEST. Jimmy is AWESOME(he grabs dishes and reloads ice) and he got us in(a party of five) within 15 minutes. Great skillets and did I mention the PANCAKES!!! Will be a regular go to, every visit to augustana.

There will most likely be a wait at the door, but I think it is well worth it! The portions are big, the prices are right, and the service is prime. I will definitely be back for more! My family is made up of pancake snobs, and we gave Jimmy’s two thumbs up.

Excellent food, great service! Be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table since the restaurant is small, but it will be worth the wait!

Great place to go for breakfast for your normal breakfast/brunch. Got a chopped steak and eggs that came with eggs, hashbrowns(I always like to get em extra crispy), the chopped steak(basically a hamburger), and a side of pancakes or toast. Huge and definitely filling meal. Nothing too fancy though in my opinion. The omelette and eggs Benedict were pretty normal looking and there was nothing too fancy. I’d compare this too IHOP or village inn, but a smaller local place.

There was a line… there was a wait… the place was busy and noisy like an authentic diner should be… And the food was just excellent. I had the chicken fried steak with gravy. It was tender inside and crispy outside, and the gravy was peppery with a nice sage finish. I also ordered a short stack of the pancakes and they, too, were delicious, light, and had crispy edges just how I like it. The staff was friendly and attentive, but not overly intrusive. The atmosphere was that of a traditional family breakfast diner: noisy, people laughing and cheerfully talking, and staff members communicating orders and acknowledgements back and forth with the kitchen. There was an older gentleman(probably the owner) who was bussing tables and asking everyone if things were ok and how is the food, etc. He was charming and added a sense of familiarity to the place even though it was our first time there. Some places just feel like home, and with the great food, traditional atmosphere and warm, friendly staff, Jimmy’s Pancake House welcomes you home with open arms. I will absolutely stop back in each time I’m going through this town.
