Was such a lovely day to leave internship early yesterday(how can you not like the 80s? o, i love it! summer is JUST around the corner. yippppppppppppeeeee!) to come on by to one of the 3 tennis facilities BH has to offer. If you didn’t know, now you know. The city of BH Recreation and Parks Dept consists of 3 tennis courts which you can use: La Cienega Tennis Center, Roxbury Park(woOHOOo! A childhood favorite where I took after school activities and much much more, and even better, a place where I witnessed Ludacris with his daughter) & the BHHS. The rates are $ 6 on wkdays and $ 7 on the wkends. I’m not sure how much it is for non residents because I still have my BH address on my license from way back then. A tennis ball machine is available and is $ 8 plus court fee. One may walk in on a first come first serve basis, or if you must be a planner like me, you should purchase their Leisure Card which allows a BH resident to reserve a court a week in an advance.(sorry, I’m not helping those who aren’t BH residents) This is valid for one year. I used to go more often but now, I go once a year or less now. Pilates seemed to have taken over. Let’s talk about each of the courts… La Cienega Tennis Center: 325 S. La Cienega Blvd(16 courts that are lit) M-Sun 7am-10pm Parking: 2 hours free … Roxbury Park 401 S. Roxbury(4 courts lit) M-Sun 7am-10pm Parking: meter parking. BHHS(*this is NOT where BH90210 was filmed, in case you were wondering, it was filmed at TORRANCEHIGHSCHOOL& there is no such high school called West Beverly for you people who didn’t know) 241 S. Moreno Dr(limited) Wkends, 8am-12pm Parking: street, free: D
