Moving from the east coast to the west coast ain’t easy. Neither is finding a guy you’ll let touch your hair-thank god someone recommended Joe Bruno. Friendly inked dude that’s a whiz with the scissors and on par with the beard trimming. I’ve been going here since I moved to LA and can honestly say-You want a good haircut at a great price by a guy who truly knows what he’s doing? Lemme tell y’all…Joe knows hair. Book early as this guy is usually crazy busy, but well worth it! Thank you Joe!

Joe’s skills are platinum. No reason to ever go anywhere else. And I’m a HUGE(almost infantile) stickler.

This place is amazing! Atmosphere is great and it does not at all feel like you are in a generic hair cutting location. The décor and background music makes the experience fun and comfortable. I don’t like waiting in line and especially don’t like pulling a number like I’m in a deli so I am a big fan of the«by appointment» experience, and walk ins are also welcomed. Joe gave me an awesome cut and when it’s time I will definitely be back for a more pampering experience. I will definitely recommend to friends and family. My wife loves my haircut so that is a plus also! Overall the appointment was excellent. Make an appointment and see Joe for a great experience!

This is one of those barber shops you’re conflicted on having everyone know vs keeping it all to yourself. But living up to your standards for being a champion for good people with great talent definitely helps you sleep at night… I just got a telegraph from Captain America reminding me to tell you… use your new found powers gained from the bump in curb appeal for good… and not evil. You cannot find fault in a single thing to fault this shop. Metered parking on Gregory if you’re coming from the south of Wilshire. Metered parking on San Vincente north of Wilshire. it’s in the Salon Republic which all by itself is freaking cool. Thor was given a hammer while Joe was given buzzers and scissor(though he may have a hammer I don’t know about). Small shop where you’re one on one with a cool dude. I’m pretty sure Tony Stark secretly gets his cut here. You can book online. You get a confirmation email that you can add to your calendar as a reminder. There’s never a reason to be late… unless. unless you use Apple Maps. And when that happens… it could collide with you haven’t taken a shower all day, you smoked a pack of cigarettes right before, your fly is embarrassingly open. karma balances out with Joe was salvaging the remaining 15 minutes left in your appointment feeling like a million bucks. Some of you are going to need the whole 30 minutes… so that’s not a blank check ya’ll.

Bruno is AMAZING! I’m writing this review on behalf of my husband which is the pickiest person when it comes to haircuts. Bruno was able to give my husband a totally new look that we both loved and that my husband was able to keep on his own. He also opens on Sundays which is a plus for people like my husband who work crazy hours during the week. The facilites are clean and very cool decorated. Totally recommend him!

Been going to Curtis before he joined Joe and started Bruno’s. He continues to give great hair cuts and never disappoints. He’s become a great barber and a great friend as well.

I had my hair cut by Curtis two weeks ago. I had read favorable reviews on Unilocal so I have it a try. Although he is very nice and it was overall a pleasant experience the haircut that he gave me was terrible. He used a number 4 high up on the left side of my head and left the top uneven. The shortness of the cut made it hard for his partner Joe to help fix the damage despite his attempt to do so. Overall I was left with a poor haircut that did not look professionally done.

Place is super clean, super cool décor, extremely friendly, and top of the line hair professionals. I’ve been to several other barbers & stylists and hands down this is the best.

I’ve been a client of Bruno’s Chop Shop since they’ve opened, after following my barber and his co-proprietor of this shop from their previous barbershop. Booking an appointment is super easy on the Vagaro app, no need to call. Couldn’t be easier. Curtis Brown has been the only person to cut my hair in the last 18+ months, and will be for the forseeable future. Not only does he cut great hair, he’s also charming and funny and quite a silver fox. Woof! The location is slightly unusual in a large office building in Beverly Hills, but their barbershop within the Salon Republic umbrella is an awesome little place. Salon Republic validates your parking down to a reasonable cost. If you’re looking for a change in barbers, go see Curtis. You won’t be disappointed.

Was looking to upgrade from my usual chain store haircut. This place hits the sweet spot. The vibe is modern, edgy, immaculate, and upscale enough. but none of these things so much that it should alienate or intimidate. Prices are reasonable. Bruno is super friendly and easy to talk to. I’m very happy with my haircut and I will definitely be going back! Edit: My wife says, «.best haircut you’ve ever had.»

At last a barber with an up to date taste. A stylist who doesn’t ask me a hundred questions about how I want it, but tells me what really would look good on me, because HE is the pro, not me … That’s why I go to him. Curtis is very personable as well. He is from the Bay area & quite a character — fun & witty. Very clean & hip shop. He works with Joe Bruno, who is also a cool guy. He suggested and used a natural hair color for me … I look 10 years younger. He is for keeps. Happy grooming.

I spent most of my life dreading haircuts due to inconsistent quality or unpleasant stylists. That all changed a few years ago when I met Joe Bruno. He is warm and knowledgeable and makes every haircut the best haircut ever. He is a superb barber and a great guy. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Ever.

Top chop my man! I dig the mini studio and like your attitude. Today was my first time there and will definitely return. Thanks for wrestling my mop into style, lickety split

Joe has now branched out with a pal, Curtis, whom I know and has a space in Salon Republic off Wilshire. Joe uses the latest techniques, specializing in fades to give you the updated hip look you’re looking for yet reminiscent of classic style. Just the update — professional yet stylish and modern — that I needed. Plus, a total sweetheart and a funky cool space. Speedy yet detail oriented — AND open Sundays! Do it! You deserve it.

A little shop located off Wilshire. Curtis has been cutting my beau’s hair for years and when he recently left his previous salon my beau followed him to Bruno’s Chop Shop. Lucky for my guy… AND lucky for me – cause I’m really digging his current doo these days ;) Not only does Curtis take his time to meticulously ensure the best cut for your hair type, but he is the best conversationalist! He has great stories, a great sense of humor and he genuinely cares about his clients. Although, typically a barbershop for men, I went to see him to ask what he could do for me with my curly Afro style. He spent an hour with me, took his time, ensuring I was comfortable with every snip. He ultimately gave me a super cute cut for a third of the price of my usual stylist. Best of all, for the quality of work, the prices for cuts and styles here are crazy reasonable. Around $ 35 and up I think… Totally recommend! Especially for men’s cuts, trims and styles.

Joe Bruno is the best! He was kind enough to make a guest appearance at one of my stores. Every single client was really happy with their cut! Joe completed at least 10 clipper-style cuts in about 4 hours during our LifeRide Event at Kiehl’s on Robertson to raise money and awareness for amfAR. Thank you so much to Joe for donating his time and skill for a good cause!
