I don’t know how this place only has 3 stars. Its my go to thai place. I’ve been here countless times and have had multiple things on the menu and not one was a disappointment. My go to items are: — spicy rib eye — pad thai — kung pao chicken — crab wontons All delish!

This a quick go to stop for orange chicken and jasmine rice. I really loved the crunch the chicken had as well and the flavor. I am a fan of sticky jasmine rice and loved the flavor with the orange chicken. I ordered from here on Friday only to find out they had the sold the restaurant. No more quick Thai for me!

We used to love this place. It was a neighborhood staple for us. But no more. We placed an order online for delivery this evening. After nearly an hour, we got a phone call, which went to voicemails, and they didn’t leave a message. Nothing. So I called them back and was told«sorry, no delivery tonight. Don’t worry about it» Don’t worry about it? We’re not worried. We’re pissed. And hungry. It would have been fine had they simply called when the order was placed to say they couldn’t deliver this evening. Instead we waited an hour to discover they had no intention of delivering our meal, and only found out after calling them. On top of that the gentleman I spoke with was brusk and rude. I’m sad to say the customer service was bad enough this time it has us reconsidering whether or not to ever dine there again.

Used to be soooo good. We started going their more than 10 years ago. It is not the same anymore. Each time we try it we get disappointed. The food does not taste the same the portions are smaller with less meat.

I knew it the second I walked in tonight: The restaurant is under new owners. RIP Talesai. Chili powder became chili flakes. The nice, amazing lady in the front became an old, grumpy, incompetent man. Flavor became flavorless. Portions shrunk. No utensils or condiments in the takeout bag anymore. This used to be my GOTOPLACE. The new ownership thinks they’re cutting expenses by skimping on the corners. Maybe. But they also just cut a longtime client. Now just another shitty, flavorless Thai restaurant among the plethora of others that dot this city. It was great while it lasted. You successfully robbed me of one of my favorite places.

This used to be my favorite Thai in LA. However, it is currently a mess… You are not welcome when you come in, the service is terrible, front and back scream at each other, the phone rings non stop, the plates are not properly cooked, the finished plates are not removed from the table, the server forgets part of your order, the place is understaffed and poorly managed, and the food is not as good as it used to be. Sorry Talesai that’s it for you!

I just called to place a take out order… Had to call 4 times and the man that answered the phone did not answer with any sort of greeting… The only way I knew he picked up was hearing the kitchen in the background. «What do you want?» he asked after some silence «The grilled chicken salad please» I responded. «We don’t have a chicken salad.» «Your online menu has a grilled chicken salad.» «We don’t have a chicken salad.» It’s your website, not mine.

My aunt and I have an ongoing challenge to find the best Thai places around Southern California, and this is one place she unwaveringly recommended. I’ve eaten in house and gotten take out many times and have never been disappointed. The Pad Thai is fantastic, definitely not lacking in peanut sauce but not drenched(a common issue for my taste), and the wonton soup is spectacular. I’ve also had the chicken satay(more than satisfactory, but not beyond that) pot stickers(awesome, though few in number), and sticky rice(strange presentation but ultimately very good). The portions are small, but I usually share a few dishes with someone else and we both finish satisfied. This is not the place if you want a single large dish, but if you’re happy to order an appetizer with your entrée, you’ll likely leave happy. The prices were not unreasonable(I’m a college student with a minimum wage job but some savings in the bank) and I’m definitely going back next weekend.

I’m pretty upset considering im starving… Ive been waiting over 30 minutes had to ask for a menu still have not had my order taken. I dont understand the lack of service and confusion here. Timed my order was taken 1 hour after being seated. I should have left.

I went there last night. The food was ok. The FM was good, but my chicken taste like Philippine dish(adobo). The service was horrible. They did not have enough people to handle the customers. Never again.

We used to love Talesai-however, had a horrible experience there last night. Ordered the appetizer sampler and our chicken satay was completely RAW in the middle. It was disgusting. Even after letting them know and them acknowledging that the chicken was indeed raw, they still tried to charge us for the platter. When I brought this up, they begrudgingly took it off the bill. I will never be back.

Got my order for pick up, chicken pad Thai and the coconut milk, lemon grass, and mushroom soup with added chicken. Awesome! Definitely will be back :)

This place is excellent. The lunch specials are great. I used to eat here a few times a week for years and years.

I came in for dinner the other night and the Pad Thai tasted burnt and the portion was very small. Also, the staff was not very friendly. I give a star for free parking and another because I think the dish was only $ 10.

I’ve been coming here, on and off, for years. I’ve never experienced anything except pleasant, helpful service staff. The food is always cooked perfectly and exactly to my order. It’s hard to say what my favorite dishes are, they are always delicious. However, if you like corn fritters, these are tough to beat. The salads are always great for lunch or dinner and their beef and seafood are beautifully prepared. This is a bit more upscale than the other neighborhood Thai places, and well worth the prices.

I gave myself a few months before rating this restaurant. My husband and I used to order from this restaurant once a week for an entire year. We put up with the fact that they would change the delivery charge as they saw fit. We even put up with the rude customer service. Then, one day, we found a long strand of hair in our food. We called back to inform them. They refused to do anything about it and finally said«the delivery guy does not want to go back to your place.» Café Talesia: here is some news for you. This is not optional. We paid for a service, and we expected the service we paid for. This is a fair exchange of goods I believe. When you mess something up, the appropriate thing to do is fix it. We did receive a call the next day from the delivery person saying he would have come back if he had known it was us. But really it does not matter. All customers should be treated fairly, and who we are should not make a difference. Anyway, we had a choice as to how we choose to spend our money and chose to never order from Café Talesia again. Now Emporium Thai is our place to go: hassle free and quick delivery, delicious food, and polite employees.

I have been going here for years because it’s in the neighborhood. I always have a craving for crab wontons and white rice(I know weird combination). The service is hit or miss. The prices are a bit too pricey, in my opinion. Today, put the nail in the coffin for me. I changed my mind regarding what I wanted a minute after ordering, before it was made. The server seemed more than annoyed with me… Saying, «are you sure, do you have your mind made up.» Keep in mind she was pretty condescending. I brought that to her attention and she again used a very condescending tone, asking if I was sure because she just needed to make sure. Ok, thanks Amy, there are too many options. I will take my business elsewhere. You’re not the only one around with Wontons and white rice!

I tried the pad see eew. I don’t recommend getting takeout from here through. It didn’t taste fresh enough for me. But I think having it fresh from the kitchen would do the trick. Tom khar was ok. More sour than I care for.
