Catherine Hwang, MD

Dr. Hwang is a fine ophthalmic surgeon, but her office’s billing practices are frustrating. We have been double-​billed for a procedure for which we paid in advance. Her staff alternately promises to fix it, but then calls with a bunch of medical billing jargon that no non-​expert could be reasonably expected to understand. The goal is clearly to force us to give up and pay twice. For this reason, I recommend finding another surgeon and no member of my family will ever go back.

I am not sure if I’m doing the right thing of reviewing Dr. Hwang on Unilocal.Call me selfish but I realize that by doing it she might get so popular that I won’t be able to make an appointment with her conveniently in the future because every other Unilocaler will want to see her ;-)
Anyways, I have seen Dr. Hwang a few times before to get Botox injections. She is very nice, educated and not pushy at all with her services. She is actually the opposite — she told me I don’t need to be doing some type of injections I asked her for. She will make your face look natural without the stereotypical ‘beverly hills’ look. And that’s what I love about her.
I would highly recommend seeing her because she specializes in face procedures. Her prices won’t drain your pocket and you get injections straight from a medical doctor not an esthetician or a nurse. I didn’t bruise at all and my injections lasted anywhere from 3 to 6 months each time.
