Went here since there were limited options on a national holiday. Service was very subpar. Had to clear dishes and clean our own table. We ordered 2 items, one came on an actual plate and the other on a paper plate. Breakfast croissant came without bacon. The side items were plated incorrectly. The food was meh, but the service really taints the overall experience. Save yourself the trouble and go to Starbucks next door. Would recommend they either hire more people or turn this into a fast casual place.

Came for a late breakfast today, and tables were all full. First come first serve meant we had to wait and try and get lucky. No worries tho we were told food would take 15 – 20 minutes plenty of time to find a table. Sure enough found a table in about 10 minutes. Plenty of time before our food was ready. I ordered the Le Metro breakfast sandwich which was on point, very delicious! My kids had the French toast off the kids menu also very tasty, and my wife went with build your own omelette, again very tasty! Can’t come to a French bakery without trying some of their French desserts. We tried the white chocolate moose cake and Black Forest cake! Both delicious they were light and went perfect with our coffee.

Sometimes they run out of things … which makes me a sad Unilocaler. But generally they are pretty on the ball and accommodating. Some of the staff seems to be far superior with their customer service than the others — although no one has ever been rude, thankfully. The wait for food always seems like it shouldn’t be quite as long but maybe they are working on big catering orders or whatnot. I love the metro breakfast sandwich — SOGOOD. And the Tomato Basil Soup is really good as well. Better to get here early before the pastries or sandwiches you want(like the Caprese) are gone for the day! Make sure if you come that you aren’t in a hurry though — you won’t enjoy your experience very much if you’re in a rush.

DONOT, I repeat. Do not come here if you are in a rush and believe that a party of two eating together, should expect to actually eat at the same time. My husband and I came here today and his croque, with cold fries took 15 minutes. When our server(who I might add is an energy conservationist i.e. sloooowwwwww) brought the croque he said my omelette would be right out. So we munched the cold fries and waited. Waited. Waited. Finally I told my husband to start. He was finished when my omelette arrived 15 mins later with — surprise! Cold fries. I asked the server if I could get some hot fries. She quizzically replied, «Hot fries?» I said, «Yes. Fries that are hot. Not cold.» She picked up my omlette and walked away. Great! now my omelette is going to be cold! After discussing the situation with what appeared to be the manger she brought my omelette back on a separate plate sans bread or fries. The omelette itself was lackluster. Obviously frozen spinach. A few minutes later another woman brought back hot fries, bread with no butter and apologized for the delay, offering a cookie as compensation. I declined, as I’m not about complaining to get free stuff. So my observations are. — What kind of a French café serves an omlette with tobasco sauce and bread without butter? — What about a restroom? A restroom would be nice. «Go next store to Starbucks.» I was told. — Dining together should mean just that. Dining together AND at the same time. — Do they have just one pan? Did they have to finish my husband’s croque and clean the pan before they could start on my omelette. +1 because my husband really liked his croque and the hot fries were great.

Did not love. Very much ok with paying a premium due to it being in Beverly Hills and all, but then I do also expect a great product and stellar service. This is a chain, expect average service and sub par quality with inflated prices. Cute café, nice selection, but that is a dime a dozen in this area. Both the pastries and the coffee were ok, but not stellar and not worth the $ 5+ price tag for either one. Way too many other great options in the area to stop back in here.

Oh gosh, please don’t try the avocado toast if you come here. I had it this morning and won’t be ever having that again. The service was great but the food was absolutely awful.

I really enjoyed this café spot. The cashier was very patient with me(luckily there was no queue behind me.) ordered a cup of coffee– I really enjoyed the joy no better after taste. What drove me here was the pastries from the window. I wish they had a medium size tart. I did order the mini variety and I was very happy. Each tart had a different flavour. The first version had a chocolate smooth and light mousse with a strawberry finish. The second version was a blueberry fruit with a lime custard and the final version was a plain custard with a strawberry fruit finish. I loved the variety, just wish there was a medium balance to the two sizes of tarts. Parking is a hassle! Just make sure you have other things to do on Beverly Drive.

I don’t know why, I keep coming here the service really sucks. Why do they take over 20 minutes to make a salad?!

I came here for breakfast a few times. I usually try to get the small breakfast brioches with eggs and stuff because their other items look amazing but also oily. The workers are so sweet and the place is small and cute. I love sitting outside. Their fries are so yummyy. The little sandwich is pretty cheap but i get so full. Also their desserts look so good and they have everything. Its a legit french bakery I give 4 stars because their food sometimes tastes so unhealthy

Their French toast is really good, but unfortunately it’s hit or miss with it. I have gotten it where it is cold in the middle??? So I order the kids French toast now bc the bread is smaller and will warm thoroughly. Sometimes they have quick service, other times it’s super slow.

Nothing special. Lemon tart was just all right. Coffee was the same. Service slooooow. With all the other cafés and bakeries around it’s really disappointing that this place is not trying to step it up.

I’ve stopped here in the morning several times for a pastry and cup of joe(previous experiences 2 out of 5 stars). However, today I invited an underprivileged person to join me for breakfast. Just before we ordered, the manager approached us and denied us the right to service– He wouldn’t let us order. We went elsewhere, but it upset the person that I was with so much that he began crying as he ordered at the next restaurant. This café is obviously too rich for my blood, and I’m quite sure that it’s due to my inability to distinguish the evenly-brown, brittle flakiness in their croissants… and the chocolate undertones and medium body in their superior coffee. I highly encourage you to try the coffee and pastries around Beverly. If you’re into more artisan brews, try Aharon. It’s right down the street and their breakfast pastries aren’t bad either!

This restaurant is very noisy inside and out. The ventilation is terrible and I left smelling like smoke. There are no restrooms for customers. The food is so so but the environment is so poor I likely wont go back.

Came here for lunch, I’m not quite sure why it took so long to get the sandwich and salad since they are really not busy and its sandwich and salad. The salad they gave me looks like anything but Cesar salad so I took it back figured they gave me the wrong thing. One of the staff told me «oh yeah we don’t have romaine, this is our version of Cesar salad.» There is no such a thing as your version of Cesar and give people bunch of other lettuce with the Cesar dressing and call it a Cesar salad. I decided to change to the French onion soup figured there is no way you can give me some other soup and call it French onion soup. I did get my soup rather quick, however I have cheese on the top that’s not even melted(see pics) and it’s super sweet in a bad way, worst French onion soup I ever had. Anyway, I guess I learned it the hard way why this place has such a bad rating. I would say Starbucks has better chicken pesto sandwich than the one I just had too. What a shame, I been to other locations and they weren’t bad like this at all.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. First off the service is terrible. They told me they couldn’t give me a Caesar salad because their computer wasn’t letting them pick it. What!?! Then I ordered a panini sandwich that was not a panini. When I asked them to please change it to what I ordered they brought back the same sandwich just greased up with butter on the top of the bread and a disgusting soggy sandwich. Nothing toasted or crispy about it. The coffee is pretty awful too. The service and food was awful. Definitely not coming back here ever.

Cute coffee shop. Good pastries and quiet, relaxing ambience. They have a variety of cookies and pastries, but this place is fairly simple. Ehh you could do better…

Maybe I expected a lot more from a place that claims to be a «French bakery,» but Champagne definitely disappointed me. I know it’s a chain, and they did a nice job with my iced mocha, but how hard is it to make a decent pain au chocolat? Apparently harder than you’d think. On both flavor and texture, Champagne failed me. I could’ve found the same quality at the grocery store — that’s how weak their effort was. To top it off, the cashier/barista guy was off in his own little world.

I love the OC locations of this bakery, but this one fell short for me a bit. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing stood out as great either. The pastries were low and didn’t look that fresh. But the coffee tasted fresh and the breakfast panini was the decent. With all the options nearby this wouldn’t be my first choice, but an ok alternative.

It is very ordinary. They do not serve champagne, the coffee is ordinary — Starbucks is next door — and better! Their pastries do not taste fresh and they are not that good. I would suggest skipping this place, which is supposed to be your neighborhood delicious bakery and eating and having the Starbucks next door, which happens to be better, unfortunately. Darn, I wanted to like this place.

I like this bakery, but service was eh. The man was acting like I was asking him to stand on his head when I asked for two items to go. He wanted to put a mousse in a to go water CUP with a napkin cover!!? What? Why? Because he did not want to go in the back and get a to-go container? also the mousse was billed as mango mousse but was, in fact, cake, with a light bit of mousse on top. Not a happy surprise if you are craving mousse. I also got a meringue. Again drama with to go container — really? no one buys gifts here? They have a stack in the back of to-go containers, what was cooking with this guy? He was sweet but all over the map. However, generally speaking I like their selection and enjoy what I get. but this trip was a bit silly!
