Mogi is incredible! I have so much hair and have always kept it the same long length because it’s what’s seemed worked best. Mogi was able to take the thickness out of my hair and gave me a fresh new, shorter cut. I can do so much more with my hair than I ever could. It used to take me 30 minutes to just straighten my hair and now I can have it done in 5 – 10 minutes max. I’m so happy I came to Mogi and let him take control, my hair has never looked better. I definitely recommend his «inside out» cut if you have extremely thick hair like me… trust him! :)

Mogi is the man when it comes to haircuts. My hair is particularly thick and coarse and gives other barbers fits, but Mogi is adept at styling my hair with his patented all scissors cut and he does this new-age clipper technique at the end to thin out my hair. When it grows out, it falls perfectly and is a cinch to manage. I have recently moved out to Philly, but stop by to get my hair cut by Mogi whenever I make it back out to SoCal. The man is truly one-of-a-kind.

Fast, efficient, detailed cuts. He chooses the best hair style that’s easy to manage especially for me. Cuts last long with minimal fuss. I just shower, comb, and the style falls into place. That’s his specialty. Reminds me of Mr. Miyagi from the Karate kid, or one of the Iron chefs. He’s a master whose work does all the talking. Give him a try.

Mogi has been styling my hair since 1993. He does an amazing job with my baby fine tresses. I have tried other salons and stylist over the years (geographic reasons) and always come back to Mogi. If the «celeb thing» is your style, he was on an episode of Entourage, so that is cool. But he is not snooty like some other stylists one might find in the West LA/BH area. He works out of the Hiroshi salon on Canon drive (also reviewed on Unilocal). But he is so great I thought he deserved his own Unilocal review!
