The owner, Keiko Noah was very rude to me at the last art showing for Tom Everhart. Between the PR dragging one of the photographers around the room like a desperate person to take pictures of celebrities and some of the guests also being rude, at least Tom Everhart himself was very kind to me. It’s a shame that the owner of Mouche Gallery would allow me to be bullied at an event like that and that she would participate in the bullying herself. No one should ever act like they are above others for any reason. I’m a respected celebrity jewelry designer from Hollywood, and I can’t believe that I was treated with such disrespect. I was treated as if I weren’t important enough to be there, or to take pictures of by the staff and the owner. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I would never have any event there because I would never want my guests to be treated in such a manner by the owner, just because she leases the gallery space.

Quite an eclectic collection of photographs-as FINEART. Not a new concept but I particularly went to see Baron Wolman’s photos of GROUPIES, most of which he did in the 60’s and 70’s, when he was the Chief Photographer for Rolling Stone. Actually, he was their FIRST photographer and how he had the vision to capture some of the people who are now cultural icons is beyond me. Janis Joplin never looked better and there’s a whole series of the ‘Plaster Casters’(use your imagination). I specifically wanted to see his photos of the GTO’s-they are in L.A. and in various ’lives’ now. There are also photos by other well known photographers, Douglas Kirkland, being one, but the images that Wolman managed to capture in the days when there was NODIGITAL Photography and not everyone had a camera attached to his cell phone, make these pictures even more special. Quite amazing. =

Beautiful gallery in Beverly Hills with the most friendly staff. Got my beautiful pieces from Sonny! He helped me picked out what fits best for my home and did custom framing as well. Very happy with mouche, will definitely visit again.

Going into Mouche today Sonny, who couldn’t be any cooler, showed us a holographic Elvis piece. That’s never happened, and so it goes at Mouche. Lynn Goldsmith photos are a plenty so you may see one you recognize, for me it was the one of Roger Daltrey in the water. Very interesting sculptures that you must see, always a treat to go in.

What a stroke of luck! While shopping across the street at Williams-Sonoma our sales person noticed my Snoopy t-shirt and mentioned about the Peanuts works on display at Mouche Gallery. My wife and I both love Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang. We’ve been to the Charles Schulz museum in Santa Rosa and everything. We’ve even already purchased the new Snoopy license plates for our car. The Peanuts art work currently on display at Mouche is by Tom Everhart. His pieces capture the true essence of Schulz’ beloved characters in a way I never would have believed possible. Please go check them out. I also enjoyed viewing the amazing selection of other pop culture and contemporary art work at Mouche. A captivating group of rock icons, Hollywood’s golden era and a lot more. Well displayed, perfectly lighted and with a minimum of distractions. Just the way a gallery should be. A bonus stroke of luck was meeting Mr. Kevin Esfandi, the proprietor at Mouche. It was a breath of fresh air to meet someone at a gallery who was truly more interested in educating me about an artist than in selling me a piece of art work. While I didn’t have enough time today I will be back to find a piece that will be a welcome addition to our collection.
