I wanted to get a salad to supplement the flat white I had just gotten from Bow&Truss down the street. Nespa Café looked cute and promising. I looked at the menu which was propped on the cash register, and opted for the BBQ short rib salad for $ 9.50. The girl at the front said they replaced the short ribs with chicken. Ok, fine. When she rung me up, she charged me $ 12.50. When I asked her about the price increase, she said that the menu that was propped up on their cash register was old. If you are going to increase your prices by almost 25%, you should provide new menus, altered menus, or a notice somewhere about the price increase. But, ok fine. This is Beverly Hills, and getting a decent salad to go for $ 12.50 is not outrageous. What is outrageous, is when I got to the salad, it was no more than lettuce, 10 bite-size pieces of chicken and 3 bite size pieces of tomato. Some of the lettuce was browning at the edges, and the fibrous inedible parts were thrown in for good measure. The chicken had a crunchy texture, and lucky me, I had a few pieces of inedible fat pieces thrown in for good measure. I didn’t order anything else other than the salad, but suffice it to say that I won’t be back, not only because of the poor quality of the salad, but the suspicious nature of the«price increase» didn’t sit well either.

Use to come in the beginning when the food was actually fresh, now you have to be really careful. I started going again recently and got sick from it. I decided to try them again a second time and got sick again! I asked my co workers if they had tried the restaurant and they said they had and also got sick. The meat is bad there me and my co worker both got sick from it. I usually never right reviews, I felt this deserved one. My stomach is still a little uneasy but I will not be returning, I’ve learned my lesson.

This place is for anyone that appreciates well made European coffee. The quality of the baristas, coffee, pastry and food are of highest standards so is service. My favorites: Coffee: Mocca — Dark/white mix Pastry: Swedish Cinnamon rolls Food: Tuna Salad, Thursday promotion Community activities: The owners and crew are hosting promotions almost every Thursday where they showcase locally produced foods, candy à farmers market. Ps. The atmosphere attracts business professionals, causal, creatives and life enjoyers. Not BH-snobby but elegant and cool!

I had a great Cappuccino served by a lovely young lady! A good place to celebrity spot as it is attached to a famous hair dresser.

For their opening special Nespa Café picked the old standby«Bait & Switch». One of my co-workers wanted to try this new local business. They went and picked up lunch for us and found the BOGO offer actually wasn’t for the entire menu. It was only for 3 items. On top of that the portions were small and the taste was uninspired. Not a good way for a new business to welcome their customers.
