The barmaid Mrja has all the charm of a funeral and has that Beverly Hills habit of looking through her nostrils when addressing customers. The bar area is festooned with with nouveau riche types that haven’t yet learnt any manners. The drinks are second mortgage and short considering the titanic ice cube strategically placed in the glass. On the plus side the music is great and the lighting is nice.

Wow! If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The hostess and our server Harmony were accommodating. We were there for a Birthday meet up and as our party grew they made moving to a large table seamless. Also they have a beautiful bar which stretches along the length of the entire restaurant. We were there on a Tuesday night. Music started at 8:30 and went on till about 10:30ish. Food wise you won’t be disappointed, we started off with a basket of yummy bread and a bottle of Alkaline water. They have a great wine and cocktail menu and of course a full bar. I ordered their signature«Spaghettini» dish and it was incredible, the saffron crème mixed with seafood and great quality pasta really hit the spot. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate cake, butterscotch budino, chocolate mousse and their signature home made glazed doughnuts with blood orange caramel — sea salt sauce. Do yourself a favor and make sure you order their glazed doughnuts! I have to say it was a great night and I am looking forward to going back. Our night was made extra special by the level of attention and care our server Harmony provided. She went above and beyond to place orders for food and drinks as our friends arrived which spanned from 8:30−11pm. If you are looking for a fun, yet low key spot with great food, amazing service and live music visit this lounge.

We stopped in for happy hour and the $ 8 spaghettini and meatballs, carbonara, four cheese Mac and cheese, and old fashions were a steal! The spaghettini had ample, perfectly-salted sauce with moist, soft meatballs. My palate tingled in delight. This dish is a MUST. I would definitely come back here just for this one dish. The carbonara and Mac and cheese were good, but nothing special. Still a great deal for a happy hour offering although I’d think twice if I had to pay more. The old fashions were strong, delicious and on-point. If ice is your thing, they had a large, single cube to provide the perfect dilution and chill for the cocktail. My one complaint: The server was cranky and rude. She would actively ignore us when trying to place last minute happy hour orders.

The food is good but the service and music is really what put this place over. We came the day after Valentine’s Day and they were completely accommodating from letting us pick our table to letting us have the deals from the previous night even though they weren’t on the menu. Not to mention a couple free desserts!(Which I know is part of the check-in deal but it’s really good) Best part of the meal and I don’t really like dessert. Also, the three $$$ aren’t a joke or exaggeration.

When it’s dineLA I don’t think twice about it and just go with whatever menu that looks appetizing. I Unilocal a little on the way to the restaurant so I know what to order. Spaghettini was one of the misses… don’t get me wrong the place was amazing but the food wasn’t quite there for me. It left me with a unsatisfied fullness. Before I talk about the food I want to comment on how amazing their ambiance is and the modern interior and the general feel of the place is marvelous. The live music was flawless and actually reminded me that I really enjoy jazz. So onto the food. For starters, the butternut squash soup was amazing! It had a sweetness with the creamy base. I had a very good feeling about the food when I tasted the soup! It got a little salty towards the end but it was a supreme compliment to the warm bread that was served to the table. Spaghettini, which is their signature pasta with dungeness crab, shrimp, ikura and saffron cream. Since the soup was just the perfection I expected a little more than I should. Especially the pictures were telling me this was going to be an amazing pasta dish… but it was a little disappointing. The sauce was barely there so the spaghetti tasted a bit dry. I found myself scraping for whatever liquid I can possibly find on the dish. But for a dineLA menu they were very giving with the crab and shrimp. The handkerchief pesto pasta was good! Nothing really stood out but it was good! The risotto. It was wild mushroom risotto which was good but I think at this point my palate was going on a negative run .I thought the rice wasn’t cooked enough for a risotto and couldn’t help but compare it to the risotto at bazaar. It was lacking the creamy and cheesiness of the risotto but they did a good job with accentuating the taste and texture of the mushroom. Braised short rib, I just had a couple bites to try and it was very soft and delicious! You really didn’t need to use a knife to cut through the dish and the sauce didn’t overwhelm the meat and gave a perfect balance. The vegetable garnish around the beef was also equally delicious and definitely gave some color to the plate. Yes, my review sounds a little confusing but overall I wasn’t satisfied with the food but maybe it’s because I was expecting a little too much. I wouldn’t definitely come back for their live entertainment and the overall lounge feel but won’t be there to eat… I’d definitely try the other tapas dishes other reviews are talking about and maybe try their pasta again when it’s not dineLA, hopefully it won’t be dry…

Perfect night. Service was amazing. Live band almost every night. We went on a random Tuesday night and not exactly sure who was playing but they jazzed up some r&b favorites. What I liked was the acoustics were so good that you can still hold a conversation while the band is playing. Pasta pasta pasta. Their signature spaghettini pasta was amazing. Fresh made daily as the server told us and you can taste it! I had the ribeye steak as well and it was good. Full bar, lots of selection so be ready to drink.

FUN. Italian Food & Jazz. Sooooo thankful that husband and I were invited to a birthday celebration here. Located right next door to Spago, they have their own valet($ 9). Its an intimate restaurant and there was a table for 10, right next to the stage. Awesome. There was already a chilled bottle of Chardonnay opened and upon arrival, I was immediately poured a glass and it was excellent. The birthday celebrant ordered food family style, so I was able to try bites of many dishes. Hamachi Sashimi-good. Tuna Tartare-YUM. My favorite of the starters. Grilled Octopus-good. Burrata-I wasn’t a fan of the strawberry jam(a bit sweet for me). Spaghettini-Very Good. Loved the addition of the salmon caviar. Pappardelle Beef Bolognese-Very Good. Tagliatelle Vongole-Good. The Risotto-Delicious. Coconut Panna Cotta-Good. Ricotta Cheesecake-Very Good. Service was excellent and were excellent at attending to our large group. Everyone kept switching seats around and servers were great about remember who had still or sparkling water. haha! The food was delicious and service was spot on ANDTHEN, the music started… Gregg Arthur took the stage and what a treat! I enjoyed every minute of his performance. Husband and I would love to come back.

This is the coolest joint in BH. We absolutely loved our time here as the service, the food, and the entertainment were all top notch. Not too packed on a Friday night, it was a lovely way to spend the evening. I loved my house special topped with caviar and the hubster loved his big honking prime rib. And the arraccini was superb as were the cocktails. Please note, this IS Beverly Hills and prices are inflated because of the zip code. Know that. Don’t come here and complain after perusing the menu thinking you’re in Pacoima and you’re gonna spend $ 10 on steak. It ain’t happening. We shall return. ..

Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in California. Thank you, Susanna for the best service we’ve experienced eating in the area. What we loved and can’t wait to come back for: Small plates — Seared scallops(jumbo scallops! perfectly garnished and seasoned) Hamachi sashimi(a bit drenched with sauce but we still enjoyed it) Tuna tartare(so fresh and the ponzu sauce had the perfect amount of tang!) Wild mushroom rissotto(so good. order 2 servings of this!) Main: Lamb chops Black cod(melts in your mouth. truly, the butter of the sea!) Carbonara(the best carbonara in town — insanely creamy, rich and exploded with bacon flavors, YUM.) Handkerchief pesto You’re right. We pretty much liked the entire menu. Their cocktails were also beautifully crafted and they’re also very strong. Pace yourself, especially if you’re driving and forgot to carpool, my friends!

Came here with my husband on weekday for dinner. The service was impeccable. They even gave us complimentary glasses of champagne because we were 5 minutes early to our reservation and the table wasn’t ready since they were having staff meeting. I had to knock one star down since I just couldn’t say their food was flawless by any standard. We started off the dinner with tuna tartare which was delicious, the pickled mushroom and ponzu sauce gave nice flavor to the dish. We also ordered their spaghettini as one of entrees since it seems like that is what they are known for. It was good, but not as delightful as I hoped it to be and also was little on pricy side for the portion-wise. I would love to come here again when there are live music, however, I learned that from our server that they usually start around 10p.m. Too bad it’s like our bed time…: /

I had the best dineLA experience ever here at Spaghettini. The deal was so amazing I still can’t believe it happened – for $ 40 you get to pick any four dishes listed on the menu which has salads, appetizers, sea and land entrees, and desserts(yes, you could choose 4 entrees if you wanted to), and the food was totally on point. We ordered the Burrata, Salmon Tartare, Spaghettini Pasta, Pork, Sea Bass, Lamb Chops, and the Mushrooms. Everything was perfect except the lamb chops were overcooked – I told our server about it and the restaurant promptly correct their mistake. On top of that we were super duper smart and checked in on Unilocal for the free Crème Brulee – so basically we didn’t order a dessert from our dineLA deal and got a dessert for free. As you can tell, we definitely ordered a TON of food, and everything was so delicious we finished all of it. No shame XD S E R V I C E: The servers were very attentive – almost TOO attentive in my opinion because during our dinner she came over 6 times to ask if everything was okay… like girl, I told you 5 minutes ago everything is perfect now will you stop interrupting our conversation for the millionth time… but I understand she’s just trying her best to be accommodating so it wasn’t a big deal. P A R K I N G: Spaghettini offers valet parking but it’s pretty expensive so I just found street parking around the block. It may be pretty difficult to find parking during the busier times, though.

My 1st review goes to Spaghettini — one of the best meals I’ve had recently. I came here with two of my friends for their DineLA special: $ 40 for any 4 dishes(except large plates). We all chose something different so that we can try as much as possible. Originally we thought we would all have one bite of each dish(kind of like the Bazaar by Jose Andres) but we were sooo wrong. All dishes were well-portioned and we were stuffed by the 5th or 6th dish, and keep in mind we ordered a total of 12… Tuna Tartar: Super light and fresh. Love the avocado but skip the chips if you don’t want to fill up too fast. Cheese Board: Not a huge cheese person but we ordered it to try to be fancy. Enjoyed the brie the most. Hamachi: Also very fresh. Came with 6 – 8 pieces. So generous! Trottole: On the house!(Meaning we now have a total of 13 dishes). The chef came out to greet us at the table and offered a sampling of his favorite dish. Normally wouldn’t order a vegetarian dish when doing a set-priced menu, but I highly recommend this one. A simple mixture of tomatoes, mushrooms, and pea purée with al dente pasta. Really hits the spot. Spaghettini: Their speciality. Sauce was rich but not overpowering. Shrimp were perfectly cooked. Octopus: So tender and the salad underneath was also very flavorful. Shrimp Scampi: 3 large pieces of shrimp perfectly cooked again. The curried carrot jus didn’t really taste like curry or carrots though. Still a solid sauce. Scallops: Also 3 large pieces. Don’t usually like olives but I’d eat this every day. Seabass: My favorite of the night! The fish was so flakey and buttery and it laid on top of a bed of mashed potatoes, which you can never go wrong with. Lamp Chops: This was a slight disappointment since I love lamb. These were a little dry and overcooked. And the fennel salad didn’t add much. Least favorite of the night. Short Ribs: Tender and fatty. Everything you’d expect from a great short rib dish. Crispy Chicken: Took a bite and thought it was okay. At this point, I was just forcing down food. However, I took it home and reheated for leftovers, and it turned out more delicious and stayed moist. Sweet Corn & Lavender Custard: The most innovative dish here. The flavor combinations were so unexpected. There were also hints of blueberry and sea salt and that just tied the whole dish together. Highly recommend. Crème Brulee: Free with Unilocal check-in, making this our 14th and final dish. Simple, yet perfect ending to this feast. I would come back to Spaghettini to try their other menu items, even when they’re not running their DineLA special. Service was impeccable from start to finish. The owner even came by our table to personally make sure we were satisfied. They have nightly jazz performances which really adds to the overall experience.

This is a throw back review because my friend who took me here for my birthday(Aries!) wants to take me again… The food was awesome! Short rib pasta that tastes even better the next day. The service was on point — all good looking make servers! The music was soothing — can’t remember who it was, but I liked that the stage was«hidden» until the performance. This friend and I always have a great time together so I was laughing and loving! AND the cherry on top? I got to meet Dave Koz who was SUPER sweet and friendly! I’ll be back!

DineLA week. I tell myself every year that I wont participate. I feel like because they mass produce the dishes it misses its full potential. But I’m Asian and I love a good deal so I always end up going. We went with a group of 6 this year. 3 married couples. We pull up and right off the bat $ 9 valet. Yuck. We sit down and we get to order 4 dishes. Any dishes for $ 40. I could order 4 of the meat dishes if I wanted. We ordered the: Hamachi — castelvetrano, preserved lemon, yuzu, soy, and olives — I loved it but my husband is not a fan of olives so he didn’t like it. Spaghettini –dungeness crab, shrimp, salmon caviar, saffron — This is the dish the restaurant is named after but it wasn’t anything special. Most of us didnt even really like it. Casarecce Carbonara — benton’s ham, parmesan, ham dust. It was better then the Spaghettini I’ll give it that. But nothing special. Maine Scallops — cabernet tomatoes, olives, capers — Super soft but super salty. Seabass — yukon potato purée, citrus butter, parmesan — The star of dinner. I wish this portion was bigger. Lamb Chops — Fennel, herbs, walnut salsa — Pretty good. Tuna Tartare — Excellent Crème Brûlée — tahitian vanilla bean, berries — We all got a free crème brûlée because we all checked in with Unilocal. It was massive and delicious. Melrose Place — casamigos blanco tequila, watermelon, lime, chile salt, tecate — It tasted like a bloody mary with a side of beer. Don’t get it. The meal started off strong. The first two appetizer dishes were great but once it got to the main courses everything was weak. The end of the meal we asked the waitress to split the check 3 ways. For some reason they charged my card fine, my friend’s card was charged for 50% of the meal, and my third friend 17%. 0_o? How did they even come up with this. So we tell the waitress we want to void the transaction and she didnt really understand what was going on. We had to wait an additional 30 mins to leave after we finished out meal because of the payment fiasco.

Overall: The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is perfect. It’s pricey but the current special(through the end of August) makes it well worth the money. Food: 4 For $ 40, you get to pick any 4 items on their menu, excluding only the big plates. That’s $ 60 – 80 for the price of $ 40. Hamachi with Castelvetrano, Preserved Lemon, Soy, and Yuzu: It was a nice bite with just the right hints of acidity and sweetness, but I do think that it was slightly too acidic. Also, the hamachi was room temperature rather than cold as I expected. Cheese Plate: I love the selection of cheeses because there was something there for everyone. There was a very soft, mild cheese(sort of like Brie), a semi-soft strong cheese, and a hard semi-strong cheese. Each had something else on the plate(roasted tomatoes, mango, garlic stuffed pepper) that it went well with. Spaghettini with Dungeness Crab, Shrimp, Salmon Caviar, Saffron: This was hands down the best dish of the night. The portions were fairly generous. Sometimes, you feel like you need to spread out the proteins so you have enough for each bite. Here, there was more than enough crab and shrimp for the amount of pasta. The dish was beautifully balanced. I particularly enjoyed the addition of salmon caviar. It added crisp, refreshing, and slightly salty bite to break up the monotony of the rich dish. It’s something so minor but it elevated a good dish to a great one. What I love most is that the extravagant ingredients aren’t just a gimmick to take your money. Each plays a vital part in harmonizing the flavors. Octopus with Haricot Vert, Olives, Capers, Tomatoes: The octopus was tender, and the vegetables were well cooked. It had just the right flavors for a great summer dish. Wild King Salmon with Caponata and Cucumber Labneh: I loved the cucumber labneh because it juxtaposed the crispy skin perfectly and added a light touch to the dish. However, the restaurant specifies that the fish would be cooked«medium rare,» but it was clearly well done. It wasn’t extremely dry, but it was disappointing on such a beautiful piece of fish. Copper Pot Short Ribs with English Peas, Peewee Potatoes, and Mushrooms: The short rib was tender and soaked in delicious, rich sauces, and the veggies were well cooked. Overall, a delicious traditional dish. I only wished they added more veggies or carbs to soak up the juices and break up the monotony of the rich dish. Lamb Chops with Fennel, Herbs, and Walnut Salsa: Although this didn’t have any major flaws, I would not order it again. It was simply too boring, for lack of other words, and I generally eat out for more exciting food. Also, I think it needed punchier, bolder flavors. I guess a good comparison would be to consider whether you’d prefer Kristen Stewart or Cara Delevingne(Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, etc). Sweet Corn and Lavender Custard with Blueberry Compote, Cilantro, and Rose: The unorthodox dessert came together well. Although the sweet corn and lavender flavors were prominent, the custard was delicious. They add just the right amount of cilantro so it doesn’t overpower the rest of the flavors. I also enjoyed the rose shards which, must like the salmon caviar in the spaghettini, weren’t absolutely necessary to make a good dish but the addition elevated it to another level. Crème Brûlée with Berries was standard but it had a beautiful crust on top. The waitress said it was one of the best in the city, but I would argue I’ve had just as good at other restaurants. Service: 5 Our waitress was friendly and informative. She was really upbeat and always had a smile on her face. I love that she told us about ALL the deals they had, including the very minor free crème brûlée with Unilocal check in, which a lot of servers usually forget to mention. Her recommendations were great too! Although we already had in mind what we wanted, we decided to ask for her opinion. Most of her recommendations aligned with our selections above, and those were all delicious. So if you get Harmony Blossom, you’re in good hands! Ambiance: 4.5 Earlier in the evening, Spaghettini is your typical upscale restaurant. It has booths that make your meal a little more private, and it could definitely serve as a place for dinner with coworkers, a date, or a meeting. However, there is pop music(why no jazz?!) playing at louder than background music, so it’s not very romantic. As the evening goes on, it becomes progressively more busy with dimmer, moodier lighting. Around 9:30PM, there’s live music. I was only there for 2 acts, neither of which were jazz, but they were good. Side note: I’m not sure if there’s any street parking nearby. Most of it is reserved for valet or(I think) 1 hour parking, which is definitely not enough time for dining at most of the restaurants in the vicinity. Valet is $ 9.

Seriously one of the best DineLA deals out there, and they’re extending their July 2015 DineLA through August! $ 40 gets you any 4 items on the menu(excluding large plates), which means if you’re a meat guy, go ahead and get four meats. If you don’t like dessert, skip that«course» and get double the tuna tartare. The flexibility of this DineLA menu truly makes it a great experience, especially for a group, where you all can share in many more tapas-style dishes. The ambiance is a hip lounge, just elegant enough to feel fancy, without any air of stuffiness which Beverly Hills can quickly add to a place. Some regulars roll in in sandals and tennis shoes, while other guests come in heels, and it all seems very«LA» and fitting. The stage is in the back of the large space, high ceiling dining area. Throughout the night, several acts are introduced and play short sets of a few songs. Most of the artists are from the LA area, and it adds a nice touch of live local music to the night. When there aren’t acts on, the music is loud enough to set the tone, without being overpowering to your conversations. The cocktails were phenomenal. I had two Bulls on Parade — just sweet enough, but not overpoweringly so. My friend ordered the Melrose Place, which came with an entire extra can of Tecate that you pour in as you drink your drink — 2 in one drinks. My other friends ordered the Tune Up, which they loved and ordered a second of. The food was very good, and well portioned. We left stuffed. The highlights include the tuna tartare(beautifully plated in a cylinder over avocado, and served with plantain chips), the signature spaghettini pasta(with dungeness crab meat, caviar, lobster and prawns in a saffron sauce), seared scallops(in a san marzano tomato sauce), pasta carbonara(with ham dust), sea bass(delightful and buttery, served over mashed potatoes with a lemon butter garlic sauce), and the crème brûlée(served with fresh berries). Lovely date spot. Pro Tip: check in for a free dessert, even if you do dine LA Pro Tip: Park on Crescent in the«Beverly Hills Parking» Structures for 1 hour free and $ 1 afterwards for each hour(entering before 6pm) and a flat fee of $ 2 entering after 6pm. But note, that lot closes at 10pm.

Decided to come here to try out their dinela menu, 4 items for $ 40 and they got nice variety of items to choose from. Arrived at our 8:30 reservations and it was pretty filled already. This is a new restaurant that is located right next to Spago in Beverly Hills. It’s not a very big restaurant. We got the option of choosing a seat right next to door or the high table chairs. I choose the soft seats next to the door. At first I did not care because I was starving and wanted to eat already! But after sitting and ordered our food, I noticed that we are sitted really close to the table next to us. My BF and I were trying not to listen to the whole conversation on how she was dating this guy and that and how shes taking this herbal stuff that helps with her sleep. Very interesting that they have live band playing. I think the band makes it up for everything and would make people wanted to come again. Live music is always great. The singer was very good that night. But they didn’t come on till 10pm until we were onto our desserts. There was lots of people coming in around 9pm. Lots of things were sold out already from the menu. I didn’t get my free crème brûlée but i can save it for next time. They are extending their dinela till AUGUST! FREE crème brûlée with Unilocal check in. Anyways, out of the dishes that we chose, we only like a few here and there from each of our options. We did not like: –squash blossom: I was expecting a more cheesier texture when biting into it. Forgot what kind of cheese was inside. Kind of tasteless when you don’t use the sauces that it comes with. –spaghetti w/meatballs: meatball was good but the pasta sauce was too acidly. did not like the sour taste to it. needed to add some sugar to it or something. Like how the pasta tasted really authentic. –the lemon merginue pie: i thought it was come in a pie form but its was just lemon sauce with a few crispy cookie looking thing and toasted marshmallow. It was too sour for our taste. But this way is very creative though. I give it that. We liked: –tuna tartar: now this was very very good as we wanted to lick the plate good! the tuna was so fresh and you dip it in that sweet tangy sauce, it goes great with that tuna sashimi. –spaghettini pasta: this is so creamy and good. too bad the portions were so small. I wanted more. Comes with 3 pieces of perfectly cooked shrimp and some lobster meat and also fish eggs. Very good. Pasta was cooked authentic. i believe this is one of their popular dishes. –sea bass: ok i think was over cooked becaue the seabass was very tough. Usually when i eat sea bass it would fall off once you cut it with a fork. But i had to use a knife to cut it through. But the creamy sauce that goes with it, is perfect combo. –lamb chops: wow this is very good! ordered it in medium and it was pink centered and the meat doesn’t smell. It only came in 3 small pieces but it was very good satisfying. –Blueberry custard dessert: we only liked this dessert the most. Its sweet with the blueberry compote and the vanilla custard mixed with the sauce is great. The decorations of the plate were very nice and beauitful. Would we come back? yes! to get my free crème brûlée and also try out the other stuff items on their menu. We really enjoyed the live jazz music.

Two Words: Ideal Experience Albeit we did not have reservations, the hostess managed to find us a table without any wait. This place is somewhat like a lounge/jazz club. There was a young lady playing guitar and singing. When I went, there was a tapa/small plate menu which was perfect! I love small plates. I was never really a fan of burrata before — but their burrata changed my mind. The sweet berry jam coupled with the burrata and mini toast was delectable! I never had squash blossoms before, but they lightly battered theirs. Perfectly crisp and complemented the texture of the ricotta. The tuna tartare came with home cooked potato chips. The home made chips paired with the tuna tartare blew my mind… It was an incredible duo! By far, my favorite dish here. Our server was extremely friendly and I could tell that the workers here love their job. This is a fantastic restauraunt for a wonderful dining experience.

Dinning with a live jazz music at its finest. I was thoroughly impressed with the whole evening from the whole food experience and the live entertainment. Diving into my White Sea bass with mussels and clams was like a shot of flavor running down my throat. The sea bass was flaky and perfectly seasoned. The clams and mussels were fresh as you can tell because they were not chewy and did not have the plastic taste. Spaghettini-This was quite an interesting dish. The presentation was beautiful but felt the sauce was a little too salty. The lumps of crab were so mouthwatering. If you want a night of fun and romance, come check this place out! I can guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed! From top-notch servers, to delicious food and on-point entertainment, what more could you ask for?
