I love these cupcakes! Drove out here few times for these, not a cupcake person at all. But one taste of the velvet cupcake I was hooked.

Because my passion in life is to spend money on overrated and overpriced cupcakes, I got some cupcakes here… and also I heed easily to tourists friends/family begging me to bring them to this famous place. I also love that they are so creative that their cupcakes have always been the same since forever — frosting with this dot in the middle. That hard dot in the middle is edible. Although it almost broke my teeth biting it, I did not get sick eating it. I recommend swallowing it just like a pill. I am glad the owner thinks highly of her cupcakes that she even decided to judge cupcakes on TV. She needed to tell these people that their cupcakes suck anyway.

3 stars because I find it absolutely ridiculous that their truck is only found around West LA, which is where their store front is. Granted, they do special events and once they were in Valencia for a food truck event, but for the most part they don’t really roam outside of Santa Monica, and Brentwood. The cupcakes, like their store front and ATM are of course outstanding. Sometimes I think the truck carries more flavors than the actual store itself. C’mon Sprinkles, lets venture out more into the valley!

Very genius concept: ATM machine for cupcakes that come in adorable boxes and you get to watch the whole process of the box traveling out of the machine, but seriously? I think I would have enjoyed this a lot more if their machine was able to read credit/debit cards better. Every other person here struggled with their credit cards and this was the only method of payment. No cash even if you wanted to. THAT’s why the line was so long. To top it off, you can only buy one cupcake at a time. This automatically prompted me to purchase only 1, rather than 2 or 3 to share with my loved ones. Thank goodness because the cupcakes here weren’t even extraordinary. If this location is not within 3 miles from you, don’t bother coming. BIGGEST waste of my time.

The scene: Playa Vista Food Truck night. Concert Park filled with food trucks, families and music. Spotted: Sprinklesmobile. The caveat: Sprinkles is a dominant player in the crowded gourmet cupcake market. They have a distinctive style and a creative set of flavors. That said, I’d never been blown away by the cupcakes, and found that they were often on the dry side. But this being a summer night, my friends and I decided a round of cupcakes were in order. Apparently, so did a lot of other people, but the good news is that the cupcakes are all pre-packed, so the line moved fairly quickly. I asked about the chocolate marshmallow, but the woman working the mobile said she liked the seasonal s’mores flavor better, so I took her advice. WOW! That was the best cupcake I’d had from Sprinkles. Topped with lightly torched marshmallow fluff, the rich, moist chocolate cupcake was even baked with graham cracker crumbs in the bottom of the cupcake liner. A perfect summer treat, all wrapped up in a cupcake :)

ANDYOUWONDERWHYAMERICANSAREOVERWEIGHT??? Seriously, if they were going to make an ATM for the fatties of Los Angeles, they should’ve thought it through and built multiple and not just ONE! Whoever was behind this project was a real idiot. Either way, smart concept, but not logical. I was surprised to see the line so long on a Wednesday night at 10pm. So this is where all the obese people hang out. Either in the line for the cupcake ATM or the Sprinkles ice cream place right next door. I needed a decent cupcake for my son’s birthday on my way to picking him up so I thought this would be the best option. But with the time it took me to get that ONE cupcake, I would have to say that it was NOT worth it. I still gave it a 4 star because it’s brilliant! Cut the costs of your overhead by building a self service machine to feed all the sweet cravings of LA. I didn’t try the cupcake so I can’t say whether or not it was fresh, but whether it was or not, I don’t think it matters. Why? Because a Sprinkles cupcake is better than any store brand cupcake at 10pm on a Wednesday. Only if they had mini ones of multiple flavors. Aside from the long line of heavy Bettys, I found the one transaction per card swipe to be irritating. It takes too long for one person to process one transaction. And usually, there are multiple people in a group and each are getting 1 or more cupcakes, so be prepared to wait a while.

They advertised they would be at a location and didn’t show up. How rude! Don’t put up a schedule if you can’t follow it. Pretty pathetic and hopeless customer service in my opinion. oh wait, they just arrived 1 hr 30 mins late to the location… I I have nothing to do at all, I should have just waited for a cupcake…

We checked out the new Weds night truck group on Foothill in Sunland and had to stop by for dessert. The cupcakes were good. We tried the lemon ginger I think it was and coconut chocolate. To me if a cupcake is delivered to me and I did not have to preheat an oven, wash my hands, run out for forgotten items, remember to take the cupcakes out before the fire department shows up. and unstick them from the paper cups, then paying the price the maker wants is not a big deal. Maybe other reviewers can produce excellent cupcakes for less but I dare them. And pay for a truck and gas etc. Ease up people.

Not like they need anymore reviews! But we saw them at the Rodeo Drive’s Concourse d’Elegance on Father’s Day and tried out the REDVELVET cupcake. yummmmm! And I love the way they package them also. so cute!

Cupcakes are good and they might have fewer choices than the shop but there is still a variety to choose from so you’re guaranteed to find something you like. And if they happen to be in your hood then why not buy a couple? Except they’re $ 4 each at the truck which kind of sucks. For that price… it probably isn’t worth it. Banana cupcake with vanilla frosting– delicious but definitely too much frosting and barely any cake, this is true for all of their cupcakes. Key lime is the cupcake of the month and it’s tasty and moist with flecks of the key lime in it. The chocolate marshmallow has it’s ups and downs. The best parts are the bites in the center where you get the frosting, cake and marshmallow but that leaves the other 40% feeling empty as the rest of the cupcake isn’t very sweet.

Um. Hello. What’s not to love about having food come to YOU? Had this catered for work one day. Got me a red velvet… and happily downed it at the desk. It was the best 10-minutes of that day.

Occasion: Final exams week dessert & at a concert What I Had: Red velvet cupcake Vanilla with white vanilla sprinkles cupcake Food Review: The red velvet cupcake had too much frosting, so much that the top of the cupcake completely topples off the rest of the cupcake. The inside the the red velvet wasn’t as moist as I would’ve liked. The Vanilla cupcake, however, was delicious! Overpoweringly sweet, but unfortunately I have a high sugar tolerance so no complaints there. Service Review: Pretty much just grab-n-go, so nothing to say on this end. Venue Review: It’s a truck. Lines are usually at least 20-people long when they come to campus. Overall Impression: The Vanilla cupcake was great, but I can’t rate this place above Bay Area’s Kara’s cupcakes!

It’s just like getting it in the store! Which. well, considering I’m not a complete fan of their cupcakes in general from the store, isn’t saying much. But hey, don’t let me ruin a cupcake for you. They’re still one of those very trendy food items that everyone is shoving into their face these days. I saw this truck along with a slew of other food trucks and I have to say, while it’s not the main dish of its own plate, the sprinkle mobile does fit in when it’s playing the supporting roll to other food trucks and acting as that cherry on top to finish your street dining experience. Now another trick is you can rent out the truck for your event. Which I guess can make for one hell of a birthday party, it’ll run you a good penny, but then again, we’re talking about«gourmet» cupcakes. that stuff will run you a good penny just getting it from their store/truck. Now, I’m not a fan of their shop as the lines are long and that seriously effects how your taste of the cupcake goes. But for the most part, the lines of the truck runs pretty quickly. Though, if you’re willing to get these off the truck, you should come expecting that higher price point. Seriously, I dunno. I guess that’s were I’m torn. The cupcakes can range from good to just alright. And for the price, they should be a bit more consistent. But over all, it’s hovering around a 3.5÷4, as it’s a lot better than dealing with the sprinkle store front.

Ever since I quit my job in Beverly Hills, I haven’t had a Sprinkles fix in several months so seeing a Sprinkles truck(more like a cute van) in the middle of campus at school was a jaw-dropping moment for me. It completely brightened up my day and I ran as fast as I could to get in line. I patiently waited in the very slow-moving 30 min line but it was quite nerve-racking since I was completely paranoid that they’d run out of cupcakes. But when you finally move up to the front and look inside, it’s amazing how many cupcakes they can stack in there! They didn’t have every single flavor as the store but they still had PLENTY to choose from. And I think they overstock on the favorites(red velvet and vanilla) so don’t fret too much if you’re at the back of the line. Don’t worry about not having cash on you. Amazing technological advancements have been made and they actually take credit cards. And don’t forget to take your free Sprinkles button. I was bad and took two :)

You are that good. The only other person(animal) that eats any type of food(dog food) this fast(I inHALE) is my Dog… I really only taste the very end of the dreamy cupcakes… They are so amazing, thank gosh it takes a car with some gas to get my hands on these monsterish delights!

As a big fan of Sprinkles I couldn’t wait to find this truck! And so I finally found it this week and it’s the cutest little mobile food on wheels ever! There were 3 lovely ladies working the truck with the cutest brown t-shirts(I want one!). One took your order, another packaged it up and the third took your cash. Very convenient indeed! It only took minutes to get some on my favorites. I won’t go through what I ordered because if you want to know how I feel about their cupcakes you can read my Beverly Hills store review. Now of course the mobile doesn’t offer all the flavors as the store does but I was still able to get a healthy selection of the 5 flavors offered. As if getting«my favorite cupcakes ever» wasn’t cool enough, the truck was raising money to help cancer awareness($ 1 of each cupcake purchase went to charity) and I got a free button! As someone who collects stuff I was so happy to get a Sprinkles button. I can’t tell you how happy Sprinkles makes me and the mobile is even more fun! Three cheers to Sprinkles and their most wonderful cupcakes and even more cheers to the Sprinklesmobile!

I was totally unaware that Sprinkles had a truck and thus wicked excited to see them at the food truck festival I went to last weekend. Ted was in charge of purchasing and as he waited in the expectedly long line we placed our orders with him. I wanted a chocolate marshmallow, Kim wanted a coconut. We figured that he would come back with three cupcakes, one for each of us. Well how silly are we? Ted came back to the table with 8 cupcakes. When I asked him what had happened he said, «Why did you place me in front of the cupcakes?!?» It took Ted forty minutes to get through the line. I understand lines are a part of eating at food trucks but honestly, all they had to do was put cupcakes in a box. I’m just saying. Kim and I immediately devoured our respective cupcakes. The chocolate mallow was good, but of the seven that followed it wasn’t the star. The coconut was super awesome and my favorite of the weekend was the peanut butter. It was spot on with flavor and consistency. How lucky are we the Sprinklesmobile was in our area?!? So lucky.

I had a girls movie night and I wanted be bring my gfs a sweet treat. My prayers were answered when I see the mobile next to the Nom Nom truck where I was picking up lunch. First of all the Sprinkles Mobile is just plain cute. I wouldn’t mind driving around the city in it. They did not short change on appearances. Sprinkles also offered free little buttons for you to take home with you. Now onto the cupcakes. They had about 7 different flavors for sale. I ordered a couple of red velvet and a raspberry one for myself. Each cupcake is individually boxed which is great for gift giving. The girls and I devoured our sweet treats during the movie without complaints. Sprinkles has made me a follower of their devoted cult of fans.

I was blessed by my good friend Myra R. with a Red Velvet Sprinkles Cupcake from the Sprinklesmobile and I think I’ve found my 2nd most favorite cupcake place– next to Frosted… BUT, give me a few more Sprinkles cupcakes and they might be neck and neck! The frosting was creamy and smooth… rich in texture with a nice kick of cream cheese flavor. The cake was moist and fluffy… delicious! They even gave us pins with our cupcakes!!! Thanks Myra R!!! Up next, the Sprinkles storefront!

In this bizzare street vendor renaissance, we’ve seen and chased Kogi BBQ(KBBQ-Mex fusion), Don Chow Tacos(Chinese-Mex fusion), Coolhaus(all-natural gourmet ice cream) and more… Yeah, I’ve followed a few. I hear there’s a new Japanese-Peruvian fusion truck, what’s next? The Sprinklesmobile! Recently, at the first annual Korean BBQ Cook-Off, I was watching the mob of 8,000 swarm the KBBQ vendors and crowd the beer garden, the Sun beating down on me… and in the middle of the festival, She pulls in. «What is that?», I asked. It looked like a big, chocolate, pimped out party bus… You could tell, something nuts was about to go down. Someone shouted out, «I think that’s Sprinkles pulling in!» Now I never know how to feel about cupcakes, one minute I think cupcakes are a treat for women and children under 10, then the next thing you know, I’m with a gal at a gourmet cupcake shop like Sprinkles enjoying one. You know, it’s not the most masculine feeling, getting a cupcake in a gift box, but after a long day in the Sun, I’ll admit, I found my raspberry cupcake more refreshing than my beer(in my defense, I was they were serving Coors Light)! This cupcake was really unique, the frosting was cool and light(not slathered on like other cupcakes I’ve had elsewhere), and the taste of the actual cupcake itself… umm, I need to stop gushing about this fresh-baked goodness… $ 4 is a bit much for what I thought was a petite cupcake, but it’s Sprinkles baby… ______________________________ I can’t help but picture how well they’d do parked at Coachella…
