Waited 2 hours, got the wrong prescription had to go back and get another prescription, used to be awesome. Already had my glasses made from the bad prescription, had to go back and get another pair of glasses. They are too busy. Used to be a great place-​been going there for 3 years. Went for 1 hour today, very disrespectful of patient’s time, now have to go and spend another 2 hours to get my glasses redone and wait another week to get them. BE SURE IF YOU ARE NOT HAVING YOUR GLASSES MADE THERE THAT YOU GET A PRESCRIPTION THAT CAN BE FILLED AT ANOTHER PLACE. For the 5 years i have seen Dr. Stoll for my eye consultation, he has always been very thorough and it was all the more so for my lasik consultation as his diagnosis was crucial to help me making a decision on whether or not to get lasik.
Being a good candidate, I have been given all the information i needed to make the proper decision. A dedicated lasik coordinator was even available to answer my questions. I didn’t feel pressure though to get lasik, which was very appreciated.
Obviously the surgery was a complete success and the follow-​up was just extraordinary (Dr. Stoll called me two hours after the surgery and saw me every day for the following three days). Dr. Stoll always made sure i knew he was available for any concerns or questions.
My takeaway is that Dr. Stoll is meticulous, thoughtful and simply impressive. I would recommend him with a heartbeat.
Last but not least, I am also taking this opportunity to give kudos to the entire team that definitely represents Dr Stoll’s professionlism and ensures a personalized and quality service.

I am so pleased and happy that I found Dr. Stoll. The time before when I went to a different ophthalmologist I had to get up and leave in the middle of the exam. The level of professionalism was so low and the chaos in the office was so extreme that it would be impossible for me to have any confidence in the result. I reported the doctor to my insurance company and am still contemplating my Unilocal review.
Fortunately Dr. Stoll and his staff gave me the exact opposite feeling. Even though it is a very busy office I never felt like I wasn’t receiving an extremely high level of care. The technician who did my new prescription was the best I’ve ever had. They took all the time necessary to make sure my new glasses would be just right. And then guess what? I was told that my current ones were ok. There was some change but not enough to warrant getting new ones. They did recommend something newly available for me to wear for my work but at no time did I feel that selling me a new pair of glasses was their main goal.
I found Dr. Stoll’s examination to be highly professional and extremely thorough. He took great care to make sure that all the issues with my eyes were explained to my complete satisfaction. This is no easy task as I always have lots of questions. Actually I can be a real pain sometimes. But I felt no need for that with Dr. Stoll. He exceeded my expectations.
I’m surprised at some of the other reviews I read for Dr. Stoll. Why is it that people think that fast should be a major criteria for a medical exam? Especially when it’s your eyes. Plan accordingly and make sure you have enough time for a proper examination. I think that’s the patients responsibility. The doctor’s job is to give you the best possible examination. It takes time. Don’t rush it.

Dr. Stoll is one of the best doctors I have ever seen and I have been to many in my 57 years. He is kind, compasionate and above all, an exceptional eye doctor.

One of the worst run medical offices I have ever been to. They have no concept of how to treat patients. Had appointment scheduled for 11:20 AM. Arrived on time and noticed some other patients complaining and leaving. Asked receptionist how long wait would be she responded 15 mins. She just made up that time line. Technician walks into lobby area and I ask him how long is the wait he responds they are running 45mins to hour behind. I and another patient left. Very unprofessional and total disregard for patients time. They don’t bother to call to advise they are running late, they don’t tell the truth when you ask how far behind they are with appointments. If they can’t run a professional office why would anyone trust Stoll to provide a high quality of care? i won’t be going back.

I really hate giving a professional a bad review but I had no choice. I am literally sitting in the waiting room now — for over an hour — waiting to see the doctor — hence I now have plenty of time to write, review and proof-​read this Unilocal review. All in all my appointment will exceed 2 hours and out of the two hours I would say I have only seen a staff member/​doctor for 20 minutes max! This is completely unacceptable and indicates to me that it is time to find a new eye doctor — which is a shame because his staff is friendly. The lack of respect for the patients time and schedule is unprofessional, uncourteous and simply rude.
Bottom line advice, unless you want to waste over 2 hours of your day waiting to see someone go somewhere else! Trust me, 2 stars is being generous. The wait is absolutely not acceptable!

The staff is real good, the office is clean, the waiting room after being dilated is crowded with other people waiting for an audience with his holiness. 100 minutes as of this post since I got here. Time to find a new dr

The office is busy but the staff is profession in their conduct, friendly and the wait was not long. The tests were performed quickly and everything was explained clearly. The doctor explained options and did not try to sell me on buying glasses I didn’t need. All in all, it was a very good visit.

The best ophthalmologist ever! I have various eye/​vision problems and I would not trust another ophthalmologist. Ever!
The office staff is also great. Medical assistants and optometrists as well. I cannot recommend a better ophthalmologists office and continue to go to Dr. Stoll despite relocating from LA to OC.

Don’t tell someone something over the phone and then something completely different once they have driven into your office. What a waste of my time. The staff and Dr. Stoll are disorganized and/​or dishonest. Either way, you can do better by going somewhere where your time is valued.

Love the office staff and Sr Stoll is kind, and brilliant! Need a say more! Well, yah they take insurance! Enough said!

I never return to an office where
1) I make an appointment but have to wait an hour to be seen
2) the office is chaotic
3) first thing they want is for me to sign an arbitration agreement. What are they afraid of? Does the doctor mess up so much that he can’t afford another lawsuit on his record? I don’t know and I don’t care. I couldn’t wait to get out of there and I’ve never been back.

What can I say… Dr Stoll is amazing! I found him because he performed cataracts surgery on my father a while back and he raved about him! My father is legally blind and the surgery improved his vision dramatically! Just for that, I am incredibly grateful to Dr Stoll.
Dr Stoll performed laser eye surgery on me. Not only is he a brilliant surgeon but he is also very caring and down to earth. He is genuinely interested in his patients’ well being and it shows. My vision is now perfect and I couldn’t be happier!

Dr. Stoll is thorough, brilliant, and really nice. If you’re looking for a great eye dr., look no further.

I go here for my annual exams with Ayumi Kimura. Though I have not seen Dr. Stoll his office and staff are great. Darryl Seman the optician is excellent and always makes sure my glasses fit perfectly.

Darryl is not there anymore. The people who replaced him are terrible. So buy your glasses anywhere else.

After having a baby, not having to grab glasses in the middle of the night has been a life saver! It has been 1.5 years since my procedure and my eyes are still ²⁰⁄₂₀. I’ve had no problems/​complications from the procedure to date and my night vision is sooooooo much better than it was with contacts. Thanks again Dr. Stoll!

It’s been 6 weeks and my vision has improved and the dryness has mostly gone away. It’s true what they say — you quickly forget you ever had glasses! The week /​month checkups with Dr. Stoll were also excellent, as he was just as thorough with these as he was with the pre-​op and surgeries.
My wife did her Lasik with Dr. Stoll last week, and she loves it and is seeing great already! She is a big fan also, but not a Unilocaler ;)
Anyone in the LA area considering Lasik should consider Dr. Stoll or at least give him a chance to wow you and earn your business by getting a consultation from him (2^nd opinions on whether or not you are a good candidate never hurt).
