Love, love, LOVE this Tj Maxx! I would have never found this location on my own — I usually stop here because it’s on my way home from work. The locations near my home in Rochester Hills pale in comparison to this location. THis TJ’s is extremely organized, the staff is friendly, helpful and they go above and beyond for their customers. For example, I shopped here last night and they had a very nice man waiting at the door asking the customers if they needed help getting their bags to their cars. He also offered to hold on to your items so that you could pull your car up to load closer to the door. If you turned his generous offer down, he made sure you had your car keys in hand for safety. So nice! Also, this TJ Maxx ALWAYS has the best and biggest quantity of designer items. I bought a $ 250 Michael Kors watch here for $ 129! I JUST saw the same watch at Nordstrom for full price. I wouldn’t hold my breath hoping to find any Michael Kors watches or wallets at the TJ Maxx by my house. Love this place!

This is usually my go-to TJ Maxx store just based on convenience as it’s on my way home from work. I have never been disappointed by this store, and I always end up taking something home that I didnt know I even needed. It’s also very organized and easy to find things.

For some unknown reason to man this store seems to be priced higher for the same stuff I’ve seen at other Tj Maxx stores… I’ve never found more than a few things here. The mens department is lacking. I’ve bought some Levi cords here, off season. It was so hot outside. for like $ 10. Usually this is also a great place to find designer underwear like Clever for around $ 7, but thats about it.

Mega TJ Maxx. Great for women’s fashion, not for everything else.

When all the right elements come together, shopping at a discount store like TJ Maxx can be a delightful treasure hunt to locate a designer outfit or a shirt you just realized you needed at a reduced price. Newbies take note, plenty of searching through the racks and logistical planning may be necessary to make the most of your time. TJ Maxx falls in the middle of discount fashion shops, above Marshall’s but below Nordstrom Rack and Loehmann’s. Beverly Hills’ TJ Maxx must not be catering to my demographic because I can never find a thing I’m looking for here. This particular store is typical, stocked more with women and juniors than kids or men’s sections. Their shoe selection is surprisingly good for the upper end, though still expect to find all the steals and cute designs in the 5 – 6.5 range. As always, 9.5 and up looks pretty depleted for reasons known only to the sartorial gods of Choo and Balanciaga. Clothing here is rather disappointing because it tends towards very 40s+ office-wear and the occasional interesting item. Juniors is dominated by t-shirts, tanks, and dull sweaters. I have seen the odd Limited suit jacket floating around. Activewear has a bit better sampling, especially on the men’s side with lots of Underarmour, but expect it to be a bit of a crapshoot. If you like cardigans, you’ll do well. Jeans and casual clothes, not so much. Lingerie is also a great place to stock up on socks, bras, and panties at a fair price. I wish they carried more over-the-knee socks but you can’t have everything. Or anything, as I so often come out empty-handed. Housewares and linens are to the back, and for household goods, you can’t go wrong. I gravitate to TJ Maxx around Christmas to find goods for the men and chefs in my life. Great prices on knives, neat knick-knacks(can you say skull cupcake molds? I thought so), and basics for the kitchen please me. This particular one has a rather dull housewares section but I hope that perks up in December. Things that suck though: long lines, slow registers, disorganized merchandise, and a complete inability to find anything I want. For older ladies and for guys, there’s a lot to offer. For me, I’m stuck in the black hole without nice jeans, flattering dresses or shirts of any kind.

This TJ Maxx is pretty good compared to others I have been to. It is usually clean and doesn’t have clothes thrown all over the place. They have a nice selection of dresses and handbags(a girls best friend). The lines are usually long(I’ve been week days after 4pm), but if you find a nice deal it is worth the wait. They have Juicy Couture reasonably priced in there jewelry case & the housewares section is usually a spot to find a nice picture or addition to your home. I was going once a week & usually found something that I know I didn’t need, but had to have. If you are looking for urban gear this is NOT the store to go to. Typically, I could find a nice Dereon or Apple Bottoms outfit at TJ Maxx’s, but I assume it is based on the demographics of the shoppers who frequent the store. Alas, this store is located in Beverly Hills, so you won’t find those designers. However, I did find a pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans there for under $ 75(which was a really good deal).
