Beverly Garden Suites

I recently spent two nights at the Beverly Garden Suites. The room was clean but overall I would not stay here again. The building is old and the furnishings are outdated. The temperature was either cold or 80+ degrees, uncomfortable for sleeping either way. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from a good diner, a liquor store and the train station.

What a great place to stay at a an excellent price! We really enjoyed our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. The only improvement I would recommend would be updating the cabinets in the kitchen and the bathroom installations. The living area is very comfortable and spacious, and our suite had two TVs. There is a diner, a liquor store, Starbucks, and Bertucci’s across the street, as well as Nick’s Roast Beef just a short walk down the street. I certainly recommend this place if you are visiting the North Shore.

If you’re looking for clean comfortable and affordable accomodations in the North Shore area, the Lakeview Motor Lodge is the place. The motel is probably about forty years old, however the rooms are very well kept and upgraded on a regular basis. Whether you’re traveling to Boston on business, or for sight-​seeing, or maybe visiting some of the nearby colleges, this location is ideal. The train station is directly across the street, and there are supermarkets, gas stations and many fine restaurants in the immediate area. The rooms are as clean as can be, nicely decorated and very quiet at night. I love independent «mom and pop» motels, and this is without a doubt one of the best. The owners, Ron and Brenda, are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and they have taken the concept of customer service to a whole new level. When you stay here, you not only get a comfortable room at a reasonable rate, you are treated as an honored guest. This is REAL hospitality, the kind you won’t find at any chain operation. We give Lakeview our highest recommendation, and look forward to a return trip someday. Five stars are not enough!
