Very fresh food! Great presentation and great service from the minute I walked in. I highly recommend their peking raviolis and green beans. I can’t wait to come back and try more food! It’s definitely lighter(as in not as greasy) and a bit different than typical American«Chinese» food. You don’t leave here feeling sick to your stomach. Don’t overlook this gem for a&b burgers across the street!

Ok. Finally went here! I loved it! Food was very fresh and creative. Not your typical pu pu platter Chinese joint. A very small menu without 50 items under each(chicken, beef, pork) heading. I liked that. The ONLY issue I had was the salt level. But that was only the problem in the Bang Bang Chicken appetizer. Otherwise, everything was superb!

Hard to walk in on a Friday night to most restaurants on Cabot St., but happily, there were booths available here. We ordered the Two Delights, the chicken wings, and the pork fried rice, and all were perfection. Especially the Two Delights! Everyone try this new restaurant, we want it to succeed

I honestly was shocked at how freaking good it was. Everything was fresh and creative. The General Gao’s even had pine nuts decorating the top. The fried rice was better than any I’ve had. Imagine fried rice without grease! The crab rangoon was obviously homemade. Same with the wantons in the soup. My dinner partner had the crispy beef, which I am craving right now as I write this. I honestly can’t wait to go back. Oh, and the service was great. They’re so friendly and just want you to be happy with your meal. Seriously, go eat there. I don’t want them to close like the others in that location before it. Don’t be swayed by A&B next door. Don’t be discouraged by the empty tables – they do a brisk take-out business. Just go sit and eat a decent Chinese food meal. And don’t forget to order the crispy beef.

This is a fine Chinese restaurant in Beverly Ma. Well-prepared, very good food; good sized servings, pleasant and attentive service, pleasant interior. Very good addition to the North Shore. We went the other day, at on off hour between lunch and dinner and had: Peking ravioli 6 in a serving String Green bean with pork Chicken with Lemongrass: fried diced chicken, chiliis, lemongrass,(kind of a dry rub stir fry — not a dish with a sauce to it.) Pork with honey mustard good, but the coating got a bit soggy from the sauce/glaze. I didn’t expect this one to be mcnuggitized-fried. green tea $ 49 Next time we’d get the Peking ravioli, and the beans — these were the standouts for us. Some of the best Peking ravioli I’ve had anywhere(nicely browned, comfort-food feeling dumpling case, flavorful inside), and the strings beans too. One suggestion — we did not know the meat in both main dishes would be deep fat fried. A few menu items specify the meat is «steamed,» or «baked.» Maybe tell which dishes will have the meat fried. Excellent food, well priced, and nicely served. we look forward to going there again.

Had a craving for Chinese food, and found this had good reviews on Unilocal that was close to Salem. I only ordered the basics but was really impressed at how tasty their fried rice was(I ordered the dark — meaning they add the soy sauce, guess they have the option of keeping it light), steamed dumplings and general Gaus chicken. Would def go back here to try out more on their menu.

Good fresh tasting food served by very friendly people. They serve the traditional boozy Chinese drinks and they do not disappoint. Our favorites were the General Gaos Chicken l, the Mai Tai, and the house fried rice. Fu Loon is a lighter, fresher take on what is normal for Chinese food around here. I would note there are a couple differences here. First, their fried rice is served as what they say ‘traditional ’ aka it has no soy sauce and is lighter in color. You can ask for soy sauce though. Secondly, the chicken fingers are not the normal fluffy batter at most chinese places. They are breaded in a way that reminds me of tavern food(and they are good).

Every time I go here the food and service are great. Definitely a hidden gem! Come here as often as I can.

Go for the food, not the dining ‘experience’. So much better than run-the-mill Chinese food! We had the cold tri-vegetable app, tea-smoked duck, and sour cabbage. Everything was AWESOME, and so unique. The ambiance is pretty dated; felt like a time warp to the 90’s. And the wait staff is just one guy working his tail off.

Let’s just say to make the start of this interesting, we called for delivery and they didn’t have a driver… no big deal, we ordered and picked it up. I ordered kung pao beef, no veggies, extra peanuts and extra spicy… I received a dish full of scallions and not spicy at all. We both ordered soup and asked for extra fried stips, received neither. Had several orders of dumplings with no sauce. There was no rice included with either meal. When I called to asked about it, I was told they did not do fried wonton strips for soups and the dinners did not include white rice. I have never ordered Chinese food and not gotten rice… Will never visit again.

Tried Fuloon for a late lunch(2 pm ish) based on the Unilocal reviews. The restaurant was dead only with one person dining in a booth. We were greeted immediately by a very nice gentleman at the reception desk who directed us to sit anywhere we’d like. The restaurant was very spacious and clean. Menu’s were given to us by the host and I excused myself to the ladies room. Upon returning, my friend commented that she had not seen a waiter but asked the gentleman for hot tea. It took probably another 5 – 10 minutes before a waiter appeared(the only one we saw the entire time) to take our drink orders(water). We decided on two of the lunch specials: kung pao chicken with fried rice, hot & sour soup and a crab rangoon and the sauteed filet of flounder with fried rice, wonton soup and a crab rangoon. We also ordered the spring roll(2). The soups were served first. Wonton soup was rather salty and but the filling was rather tasteless. Couldn’t quite tell what was inside. Friend said hot & sour soup was«ok». I assumed the spring rolls weren’t fried but they were. Also OK, nothing to rave about. Our lunch entrees were served shortly. Flounder was very tender but somewhat tasteless. Kung Pao chicken was tender with the right amount of spice. Fried rice kinda bland. Crab rangoons were good. Would have preferred more vegetables in both dishes. Overall tab including tip, $ 28. Glad we tried it but would probably not go out of our way to return.

First impressions: Best Chinese in Beverly. Genuine Szechuan. Maybe not as good as the Chili Garden in Medford, but still quite good. Very good beer selection. I had the Mapo Tofu, which could have been hotter, but was wonderfully flavorful. God, did i overeat. Chicken fingers were great(I don’t generally expect much from chicken fingers, but these were fresh, home-made, and cooked just right.) Do it.

Chinese is not my thing, but this place was phenomenal. No frills feel, extremely kind + welcoming staff(ask questions), authentic and delicious food.

On par with the best Chinese restaurants in Philadelphia, New York and Las Vegas. Have eaten here multiple times and have not been disappointed. Ingredients are top notch. Definitely not your typical«you’ll regret eating that in the morning» American Chinese food. Dine in if you can, take out doesn’t do it justice(but still better than the rest).

I’ve been here three times and I want to first say the food is excellent. The service was not the best recently. The place was packed with people(which is great!) but with two people taking orders and bussing tables the service was slow. We ordered drinks from the bar which we never got. I asked him twice. I asked twice for our waters to be refilled and that didn’t happen either. My husbands dinner came out first and he was finished his before mine even came. The waiter brought mine to the table behind us and I’m thankful they knew it wasn’t their meal because at this point I was starving. I will recommend based on the authentic Chinese food. Our food was hot and delicious. Looks like they need to hire a few more waiters to accommodate the amount of Tables served along with take out. We will probably give it another try in the future.

We just happened to stop into Fuloon to sit and relax while we waited for a table at another local restaurant, A&B Burgers. I wish we’d had our dinner at Fuloon, instead of a just a drink and one appetizer because Fuloons was great! We sat at the bar and each enjoyed a drink. We also enjoyed bowls of hot and sour soup and Crab Ragoon. Everything was fresh and delicious and the staff was attentive and efficient! We’ll be back to Fuloon soon and expect it will be a regular stop for us when we’re looking for great Chinese food and great service!

Worst Chinese I have ever had. The fried rice was not«fried». The chicken fingers are pub style not battered. Boneless ribs have a strong honey flavor and chicken lo mein was smoky. Overall worst takeout o have ever received. We threw it out and ordered from somewhere else, I have never done that before. We called to share our experience and they are refunding our money.

Mario L. First thing I want to say is their food is incredible. General Gau chicken was the best I’ve had anywhere ever. And the wok baked beef that we got was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back to try other things. I hope they make it to that location cuz nobody else seems to be able to.

Came here on Christmas Day, and was delighted by the excellent meal, attentive recommendations and service, and the ambiance. Of note: Bang Bang Chicken appetizer and MaPo Tofu with Minced Beef(both recommended by the owner). Crispy Beef was also a star, as were the duck pieces. One of our party also got the shredded pork with pancakes, which she loved but was too sweet for some of us. I’m not a fan of Americanized Chinese food, which is at the bottom of my list for eating out. This was so good and so NOT that – we’ll be back for sure to try some of the other menu items. Minor gripe – service and food delivery was a little slow(1.5 hours for lunch) but it was oh so worth it. Pro tip if you’re a beer drinker: I’m pretty sure this is the only place on the North Shore you can get a Sam Seasonal draft for $ 3.50. Jes sayin’.

This is one of the absolute most delicious restaurants on the Northshore. Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Lemongrass Chicken, and Garlic Eggplant. Everything was super flavorful. This is not a place to order General Gaos and crab rangoon. I’m sure those things are good here, too, but they do authentic Szechuan very very well. With lots of spices like lemon grass and cilantro, the sauces were complex and surprising. The lemon grass chicken is SUPER spicy and a tad on the salty side, but went really well with the eggplant and kung pao chicken. The staff could not have been friendlier or more knowledgeable. Damn impressed with this place.
