This is the best Peruvian restaurant I’ve been to. The staff is very friendly and the food is very yummy!

My boyfriend(who is Peruvian) and I went here yesterday for an early dinner. Greeted by Maria, who was just as lovely as a hostess/server can get. The décor is lovely – warm color and lighting accents. We met the chef, who is Bolivian – informative, warm and a fantastic chef! We had the Ceviche Martini w/Shrimp & Scallops with Mango, Lime, Peppers – bright and gingery! Queso Humacha de Camarones(Grilled Shrimp, queso fresco in a Aji amarillo sauce with Potatoes and Huacatai herb) – so wonderful – big meaty shrimp and delicious sauce! Fricase de Cerdo(Spicy Pork Stew, White corn and Black Potatoes«Chuno» –which was so devine, I felt like I was back in Cusco! Pisco sours – a little on the lemony/sweet side but delicious. . We will definitely return to this little gem of a restaurant.

What a great find! We had dinner on Saturday night with a two piece Peruvian band setting the tone for a beautiful and fun loving atmosphere. The food is great and very reasonably priced. They even had two authentic Peruvian beers on the menu. Our waiter could not have been nicer and the service was fast. This isn’t a big restaurant so you may have to wait but it’s worth it. Beverly is a hot spot on the North Shore of Boston and you can see the ocean from the tables near the window.

Ceviche had octopus, squid, shrimp and scallops, a bit on the too sweet side. Pank fried tilapia was delicious, sweet and crispy. The Queso Humacha des Camarones was the big winner. I am not sure what they put in that sauce, but it was awesome goodness. I wanted to lick the plate/and or take a bath in it. My husband hated his hot Ahi drink, it may be an acquired taste. I loved my pisco sours, and they have a nice kick to them. For dessert the shortbread cookies with powdered sugar, and caramel was outstanding — just a hint of anise kept it from being cloying. Served with blackberries. Cheers all around. If you wish to order decaf with dessert give them notice during dinner or it will take forever. The apple strudel — meh — order this in a German restaurant, this version is deep fried and the dough is tough. Above all the service is sweet, friendly and attentive. A happy buzz fills the place and the servers all look as though they enjoy their work. The food is not fast, so don’t be in a rush. It is a bit hard to hear in the restaurant as the ceiling is vaulted with a lot of hard services creating much ambient noise. We are already plotting excuses to return.

I don’t get it. They take a great location with the best mexican/latin restaurant on the North shore and replace it with blah. The corn nuts and jalapenos dipping sauce were nice as were the Saldana’s and Empanadas but the main courses were average at best and the flavors were not bold unless you count fishy crab cakes as bold flavors. The steak had no resemblance to South American beef. There are lots of excellent restaurants just down the street that are always busy. There is a reason why this place is not always busy.

This was a fine place — I would like to come back again and give it another try. I like the idea of it, and I want to like it more than I did. The service was ok– and I definitely realize that part of the lag may have been because we were in a large party. The food was hearty, rich, and there is a wide variety to try. I liked the fancy corn-nuts which one receives instead of chips. My boyfriend in high school worked at a the Corn-nuts factory in the bay area for a summer job. He used to send me cases. Soft spot. These are better, and instead of weird msg powder, they have real flavor and salt. The apparently Disney-fied Andean music on the large screen TV with the women inexplicably dancing in what looked like figure skating outfits did not do it for me — AND — I’ve heard there is live music at times and that this isn’t always playing. So.. .my experience was interesting and intriguing enough to want to come back, in a smaller group, with more time to spare, and maybe on a night with the live music. Definitely worth a second look.

Delicious and very authentic Bolivian & Peruvian cuisine(I used to live in Bolivia). The Salteñas, Churrasco a la Parrilla, Chicharron de Calamar and Flan were all fresh and savory. For those not familiar with Andean cuisine, it’s hearty and flavorful but not spicy. The staff and owners are very welcoming and seem to enjoy what they do which adds to the dining experience. I’m looking forward to returning soon to explore more items on the menu like Ceviche and Pescado a lo Macho.

this place was great. Full disclosure I know the chef/owner, but still I absolutely loved the food. Authentic, but there are simple staples for the less adventurous too. The place is cozy and not too pricey. I had the avacado and chicken salad(maybe best I ever had!) to start, and a seafood stew(talipia, shrimp, squid and scallops) over rice that was amazing. Highly suggest a visit here!

What delicious food and fun people! The waitstaff and manager made the visit. The food is creative and beautiful, with portions large enough for lunch the next day. I visited on a 3rd date and the couple next door was celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. Fusion Andina is just that kind of place.

What a treat to have authentic Andean cuisine on the North Shore! From the empanadas/saltenas to the fabulous music videos streaming in the background, it feels like you’re really dining out in South America. The owners are truly welcoming and the food is high quality. Would be helpful if the menu described the dishes more thoroughly – the preparation especially. My husband ordered a fish dish that came more raw than expected because he didn’t know what some of the words meant.

I loved my squash stew. The hint of cinnamon and sugar was balanced with the plantain and rice. My mom’s chile relleno wasn’t what she expected but we shouldn’t have assumed it was the traditional Mexican poblano with cheese. Pepper stuffed with quinoa is still good though. Three people had the churrasca a la Parilla and enjoyed it thoroughly. The wine pours were very generous and of course Inca Kola was a hit for those who enjoy carbonated sugar. :) I’d definitely return and recommend to others.

Restaurant was incredible. We had friends visiting out of town and decided to try something different. Saturday night we walked in to an empty restaurant and thought«this can’t be good.» Then, the hostess said, «you just missed the rush.» Was she serious? We sat down and had a friendly waiter who brought us a unique appetizer of toasted corn & jalapeño mayonnaise. It was tasty. I ordered quinoa soup, I didn’t realize you could make soup with quinoa; it was delicious. I also ordered their chicken salad in an avocado; different but quite tasty. I would definitely order both again. My husband ordered a pork dish with white beans and he said he would order it again. Our friends ordered a white bean soup which they said was delicious. Our friends ordered a margarita and a white wine sangria; both were tasty. We ordered cookies, apple strudel and vanilla ice cream with berries(for me, I’m gluten free). I would pass on the icecream & berries; nothing special, but my husband and friends said the cookies were savory. They were filled with dulce de leche. Our waiter was incredible, one of the best we’ve had. We will definitely be going back. Food was tasty, we left feeling full, but as if we had a healthy meal and not overstuffed.

Arrived on a Friday afternoon around 1:30 pm with two friends based on a groupon offer. The restaurant was quiet with one diner. We were greeted immediately and offered to sit where we liked so we picked the table by the window. Our waiter came over with menu’s quickly and offered drinks. I ordered a hot tea(which came with an assortment of tea bags) and one friend a hot fruity drink(can’t recall the name and she thought it was ok, not great). We ordered two soups: the vegetable quinoa and the white bean and chicken along with two appetizers to starts: the veggie filled avocado and one each of the baked Saltenas(beef & chicken). The soups were piping hot, very tasty but a bit on the salty side for all of us. The appetizers were delicious. We liked the beef Saltena more than the chicken. For our entrees, we split the Steak Tips over fries and rice(Lomo Saltado) and the Chiorzo. The steak tips are cooked in a very light brown sauce with cooked sweet red onions served over the crispy thick fries with white rice on the side. The chiorzo(two of them) is served over a toasted bun with lettuce and tomatos, a side salad with a very light dressing and these very yummy sliced yukon crisp potato slices with a spicy sauce drizzled over one end. Service was excellent and the restaurant is VERY clean. Without the groupon, our tab would have been around $ 50 without tip. A great value for the quality and quantity of food.

We had a great Saturday night dinner, starting with two kinds of empanadas, which were amazing, and followed by the squash and plantain stew and the apple streudel. Everything was clearly made to order, very fresh, and handmade. This restaurant is quite unique for the North shore, and even for the Boston area– authentic and delicious. It will be a regular spot for me now. The staff and owners really strive to welcome everyone and to provide great service. We were well taken care of from beginning to end.

Unique menu, northern South American cuisine. Soups are outstanding. Avacodo appetizer is bright and flavorful. Cerviche is piquant. No entrée more than $ 20. Outstanding service: friendly and attentive.

Fusion Andina is the best new restaurant I’ve been to on the North Shore in a while. Nothing around will scratch the itch that they can. All of the Peruvian/Andian fusion dishes I tried were full of rich and hearty, but energizing and engaging flavors. That being said, some of the more delicate apertivos explode with freshness –yet even those dishes are embraced by a certain richness. Peruvian flavors can’t be conveyed without trying for yourself. It’s like trying to explain Indian food to someone who hasn’t had it before. Service was EXCELLENT, by the way. If you’re thinking«change of pace» head to Fusion Andino. Just don’t be surprised if it becomes part of your new pace.

Wonderful tasty S. American food and a nice cuisine change. I highly recommend the Ceviche, empanadas and avocado for the appetizers, they were all A+ grade! Entre: The Salmon was cooked very well with light sauce, sauté vegetables and Yuca fries were delicious. For desert: the apple strudel with the vanilla ice cream were definitely an excellent choice! For those eating healthy: the food is fairly light and they have plenty of healthy choices to choose from. Come and enjoy a great atmosphere and food without breaking your diet.
