Not even ¼ of a star for this place, but that’s not an option!!! They have TWO Daily Bagel shops in the Cummings center. New owners have taken over for past 4 years or so. Since then everything has gone down hill except their prices. The staff has a serious attitude problem especially the owners kids that work there. I know this cause I almost knocked one of them out one morning. Our company mistakenly still orders breakfasts and lunches from them. This moron shows up at our place of business and starts KICKING yes that’s right kicking the door. I guess his parents did not teach him knocking or any kind of manners for that matter. Mean while I am in a meeting in our conference room and I have to pause what I was doing just to get the door for him so he doesn’t kick it down. On top of that he got offended when I told him what he doing is wrong and of course I am not the type to hold back after he insulted me, but he was very lucky that morning I was in the middle of a meeting and needed to keep my cool. Service is horrible. People working there act as if they are doing you a favor. The previous owner, had AMAZING service. The staff use to be so nice and polite. They use to write ALL orders down and mistakes use to be rare. Now mistakes are very common, service is terrible and you do not feel like the customer. I stopped going there all together, unfortunately when the weather is bad I have no choice. I know how bad the service is and how incoherent the staff is that after I put my order in the first time I always repeat myself to remind them and prevent mistakes. They get upset cause they heard me the first time and they still screw up my order. You can’t win with these people. If more people read the reviews for this place and we all stopped going there, then they would get the hint. Until then I think we are all simply talking in the air to no avail.

Glad I’m finally getting a chance to post this. The only reason I was going there in the first place was because my job was directly upstairs. The food was never more than OK, and too expensive. Service was SLOW(not that I was in a hurry, just saying). Once I paid for a bagel in the morning with a $ 20 bill. I went back at lunch and ordered a sandwich, absent-mindedly I paid for the sandwich with another $ 20(plus the correct change) instead of using my smaller bills that I got in the morning transaction. The woman working the counter, who was always walking the line between sassy and rude, scoffed at me, rolled her eyes, and yanked the bill from my hand. I will NEVER go to this place again. If you’re going to treat me like a child, you’d better at least serve a halfway decent sandwich in less than 10 minutes.
