Kymara isn’t for everybody. You’re not getting in if you aren’t 21. And the current exhibit«Two Loves: Sex, Art, and the Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name» is not for people that have trouble with homoerotic images. But it’s an interesting place with an interesting exhibit. This is a small gallery and you can see everything that’s there without spending a lot of time. As with most modern art, I found myself underwhelmed by the more abstract images but overall, I appreciate the fact that the human body is incredibly hard to capture on canvas and I’m in awe of anyone that can do it. I look forward to seeing what else they’re going to show at Kymara and I like the fact that they’re breaking new ground in the area. Kymara also has a gallery at 3 Temple Street in Kennebunkport and I never knew that until I visited the Biddeford location.
