Lighthouse Trailer Resort and Marina

As they state it is a trailer park people live there. Spots are very narrow and close. The staff at this location are all very very rude we went up there just to look at the spot to see if its a place we would like to go camping. Went into their little store to get some soda and chips and the staff there was so rude I told them I’d like to drive through and look at their spots they said that they don’t allow that. they told us to get off the property and leave if we did not have a reservation to stay there. I would definitely stay away from this place. Go over to Serrano campground. Its ran by the Forest Service and the people there are very polite and willing to help you. And they gave me a 25 minute park pass the drive thru there Park to look at it its very beautiful they have some sites that are full hookups

Camp spots are nice, fire pit, bench, power/​water/​sewer hookups. Many beautiful trees, narrow road made maneuvering in a 30ft trailer a lil tough. $ 10 night for cable box. No wifi. through park, but they allow you to use their network at the store. $ 10 min to use debit for store purchases. Kayak /​Paddle board rental stand is right up front was convenient. Many permanent residents there. Short walk to lake. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed our first stay at the Lighthouse Resort for the Labor Day weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful, when we arrived they guided us to our spot and helped back us in. Felt super safe with staff always at the front gate guiding new arrivals and waving when we came back from town. The trailer spots are nice and big, I say double the width of other trailer parks. Full hookups, firepit, and picnic bench. Downside no park wifi, had to walk to the front office to connect and the playground was downsized to a toddler playground. All and all we will definitely be back!

We just stayed in Big Bear at this property it’s tranquil and right on the lake. They had both cabins and Rv/​Trailers for rent overnight. All the folks in the park are extremely nice. Some of the guest I spoke with have kept their trailers there for over 20 years and the regulars treat the weekend guest like new friends. They have a store right on the property so we never left accept to go to town one day to check it out. Being so close to the lake we had no desire to leave again and talk about romantic just superb. The owners have a few rules which they explained and were helpful with directions and things of that sort. Hope you enjoy as we did.

My situation is different than most. We had reservations, but suffered a death in the family, forcing us to cancel past the min cancellation date. I called and spoke to the owner, who was very understanding. He did not have to refund our money, but did anyway because of the circumstances. This type of customer service is hard to find. We’ll definitely stay here during our next trip to Big Bear!

Just got home from a few nights staying at this campground. We had an awesome time even though it poured rain almost the whole time, the staff was super nice. Every one of them. Its not your average campground. I would say 70% of the campgrounds are for people who stay year around. But thats no biggie. Are spot was up close to the store which is about a 3 minute walk to the water, they also have a grassy area on the water with benches and fire pit to watch sunset it was super nice. Just watch for coyotes. One snuck up on us. And was eyeballing are dog. Lol all in all id go back for sure. The only pisser. Was we brought are kayaks and you have to pay the lake 35 $ to paddle around. The campground does not charge its the LAKE hope this was helpful. Cheers!

Just visited the light house and couldn’t have been more happy. The second you walk on property you know that you are getting service that is second to none. It has a great small town feeling to it. Probably because it is family owned business. The location is incredible as well, right on the lake on the north shore of big bear, and right next to some great hiking/​biking trails. The convenient store they run is the only one on the north shore for a while and they have everything you need. All the staff members are more then willing to go the extra mile to make your trip special. I can’t wait to plan my next trip to Big Bear and I will definitely be staying at the Light House again!!!

We had a great time at this resort! The owners, Mark and Lori were very helpful and accommodating. Their son Max even helped us hook up our trailer. We will definitely be back soon!!! Highly recommended!!!

My husband and I went up there on August15th for 3 nights, we brought our grandchildren and they loved it and they hated the fact they had to go, we had a great spot 19 and the girl at the store Lori was so very nice, we enjoyed going fishing and swimming the whole time we were there and we brought our 2 little white dogs and they even had a great time, we were a little worried at first due to a lot of the blogs, but we made the best of it and my daughter and her husband came up for the day and they thought the park was awesome! I will for sure come back to came in our 36 ft RV, we had such a good time, there was a guy he wasn’t’ all that friendly but everyone else was and we didn’t care we had such a great time! I would recommend this park, give it a chance, make the best of your time to enjoy the nature that it is! Enjoy the camp fire, the wonderful trees and birds, so relaxing and fun! Plus they have Kayak and paddle boats rentals. You don’t find to many places where you can camp where you can swim right at your camp site or fish.

Unilocal was correct. I called … very rude and not accommodating!!! Glad I didn’t have to travel there to find this out…

I have never left a review on Unilocal but after our experience with this trailer park I felt needed to warn people. We traveled from Lake Arrowhead to host a Hobie Cat Regatta. The day before we had a hard time watching our husband and children sailing on the lake. We decided to watch the race on the other side of the lake to get a better view. We thought we would try the Lighthouse trailer park and thought they would be willing to let us pay a day usage fee to watch on the Public Beach. As soon as we drove in people came out of their trailers to watch us. We parked near the beach and got our chairs. As soon as we sat we were ushered to our cars by a man in a golf cart. We tried to reason with him telling him we would pay a day usage fee to stay. He told us to leave immediately, no discussion. He said the beach was public but our cars were parked on their private property. He proceeded to write our liscense plate numbers down while we politely packed up. I have never seen such rudeness in my life. He waited until we got in our cars and followed us off the property. I can’t imagine what they would do if you actually stayed there and did something remotely wrong. Very unfriendly people in this Big Bear trailer park. As run down as this place is you think they would have welcomed the business.

I read the reviews posted prior to our reservation and it obviously concerned us, however we have learned to always try things for ourselves and make our own opinion. And I’m glad we did… First the staff all the way around were friendly and very helpful. There are a lot of all year round campsites here with people who stay during at the park for the six months they are open. But everyone has been nice and we did not feel like outsiders at all. The site itself is nice, with beautiful trees and plenty of space. Bottom line is we plan on coming back again!

Me and my husband drove all the way from Las Vegas, Nv to Big Bear City to stay at the Serrano Campgrounds. our stay on the grounds was AMAZING, our visit to the lighthouse, complete 180. Me and my hubby love showing support to mom and pop shops before corporate anyday. we went to the lighthouse to get a fishing license and ice… the man that was the cashier was so unbelievably rude. we plan on making Big Bear a regular trip for us this summer, and we will be hitting up K-​Mart EVERY TIME.

My family and I stayed across the street at the Serrano campground, and stopped in the little convenience store to see what they had and buy some ice. The man that was working in there was so insanely rude that I drove 3 miles out of our way to get ice again the next day because we refused to give them anymore business than we had to. The man said nothing to us when we came in and just proceeded to watch the security cameras the whole time we were in there, and then said nothing to us when we came up to the counter. I dont think I’ve ever dealt with any kind of service like that before in my life. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY IN THIS STORE!
