I absolutely loved this place. It is hidden in a small side street and frequented mostly by locals. The food is great and cheap when compared to a lot of the other restaurants in town. The staff is also very nice and attentive. There is a jukebox that people can play music from, and tvs. Overall a great place to eat dinner or get a drink! I will definitely return when I go back to Big Bear.

STOP! If you are in Big Bear, do not bother going anywhere else(unless you have more than one school aged kiddo)! Here for a cute weekend-went to the Brewery in the village the first night, not impressed. Came to my senses the second night and read the reviews for Murray’s. We had good service pretty quickly and the karaōke was going. Super fun atmosphere and great beers. Great place for groups of friends. We had jalapeño poppers– best I’ve ever had– homemade and wonderful. I got the jalapeño burger and my gf got the spicy-crispy chicken sandwich. Everything was great, big portions, normal prices. Seriously don’t get sucked into the other spots, come to Murray’s.

This place has grown on me. The food has always been great. The adult beverages are always cold. The owners are great. They fixed the bathroom lock, I still hit a guy with the door, but there is a lock now, he decided today would be a great day to get hit with the door, I just lock it. The club is great for 2 people, get you some of the ranch dressing for the fries. Kareoke, it has 60,000 songs, I am tone deaf, you don’t want me singing.

This place is a total dive… and I loved it. The food was good, service was excellent and the prices were cheap. Strong drinks helped too. If you are up in Big Bear you have to check this place out.

Gawd I love small towns. This is one of the reasons why. Its places like this that really gives off that atmosphere. On my first night here I stopped by this saloon to grab a beer and some food since I was thirsty and starving. Its an incredibly chilled out vibe type of environment. Everyone was minding their own business and having a grand old time. I got a seat and placed an order for their burger as well as a drink(which I needed). They have karaōke here too. This bar reminds me of those cool bars you see in movies where you just hang out and watch people sing and all that on the karaōke machine. Well that’s exactly what I did. My bacon cheese burger came out as I was chilling. First off that is one mighty tasting burger. Second, them fries were so crispy and delicious. They weren’t soggy or weird tasting at all. The bacon was well made with the burger. The meat was moist and juicy. It was a great burger for bar food. Overall its a great spot too hang out late at night if you’re in the area. They have bar area, karaōke and even pool tables too. The drinks were own point but damn were they a little strong for me. The food was surprisingly pretty good. I’d definitely return again for the chilled out environment.

Our motorcycle group stopped into Murray’s on Sunday midway of our beautiful motorcycle ride. However, upon arrival we were informed of an error in communication. TheIr kitchen was closed in order to prepare and cater food for a regulars memorial service. Instead of a bunch of worthless apologies and a suggestion to go elsewhere. Mike insisted on ordering pizzas for all of us. After thoroughly enjoying the delicious pizza, the atmosphere and the«make yourself at home» feeling that Murray’s staff impressed upon us. Our entire group had a great time and were in no hurry to leave. And to top it all off, they refused to allow us to pay for the pizzas. Thanks Mike, and we will definitely be back.

Definitly a fun place to people watch! This place was packed when we walked in on a Sunday night. A few people were finishing up their tab and offered us their table while we stood watching someone sing karaōke. It was a really nice gesture considering holding up the wall is where we would have stayed if they hadn’t offered it. Everything is ordered at the bar, there aren’t any servers. At least that was our experience. My partner did a little self service bussing of our table and then had to get a menu from the bar. We heard the food was good so we placed a late night order of chicken wings and fries. I’ve got to be honest I wasn’t that impressed. The wings were cold, overly breaded and not crispy. The fries were good and the ranch they are served with was also tasty but I was disappointed with the wings. Overall this was a cool place to enjoy the live entertainment that karaōke brings. The local drunk was also hanging around and even stopped by our table for a visit and he got a laugh out of us as well. We knew it was time to go when it started to feel uncomfortable as he continued to drink and slur his words and beverage.

Murrays is more of a tavern than a restaurant. Fish and chips sounded good so we ordered that and a Goose Island IPA which was on tap and very tasty. The fish and chips came and we dug right in, very tasty and the fries had some extra seasoning. The service was good and the facility appeared clean. It was a good find i would definitely go back!

The burger I had was was one of the best. Cooked perfect. I also had fried mushrooms and they were plentiful and delicious. I would definitely go back. Great service too. I can see why the place was so busy on a thursday at lunch.

WHAT. A. FIND. After a long day of hiking and exploring in Big Bear, my husband and I enjoyed a couple of beers at a nearby brewery. Afterwards, we were starving so decided to see what all the Russell Burger fuzz was about and headed to Murray’s. I was definitely not disappointed! We arrived around 9pm, so we were lucky to find two spots by the bar. As soon as we sat, we were able to flag down one of the bartenders, whom took excellent care of us the whole night. We asked for the menus and ordered more beers. The drinks were brought immediately, and the food arrived promptly after 20 minutes. The wait was not bad at all, as there was so much going on in the small saloon that we were very entertained with the atmosphere. They have a great vibe with karaōke on a Saturday night; very fun, loud, and great energy. I ordered the Russell Burger and my husband had the Spicy Chicken. Honestly, the Russell Burger is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Now, it might have been that the alcohol enhanced my tastebuds, but it was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the mesh of ingredients were an amazing combination. I recommend it to anyone that visits Murray’s! My husband’s Spicy Chicken was also excellent. I love fried chicken so I very much loved the bite I had from my husband’s sandwich. It was delicious, juicy, and HUGE. Seriously, the only bad thing about Murray’s is that it’s so far away from my house! Delicious food, awesome vibe, and excellent service. If you’re visiting Big Bear, do not miss out on this place.

Don’t be put off by the«dive bar» or «biker bar» reputation and appearance. This is a fun spot with awesome bar food. Enjoyed the 16 ounce Rib Eye with fresh cut fries and great cole slaw for $ 16. We will be back!

What an Awesome Saloon. This place is a real treat. As you walk in you already feel the fun and good vibes from the karaōke host and the fun music playing. The staff was great as we walked in we wee greeted by more then one employee, we sat down on a side table(plenty of seating) near the karaōke booth. As soon as we sat down we were asked if we wanted anything to drink and to let them know whenever we are ready to order. We took a look at the menu and at other plates around us and everything looked so good, we ordered and the guy told us we won’t be disappointed, that everything is made fresh and homemade style. Our drinks arrived and were so fresh and refreshing, shortly after out food arrived and everything, I mean it was all so good. Those CheeseSticks were so delicious :) We hung around after to enjoy the entertainment of people singing and dancing. Defiantly a place I will return when I come back in town. Check them out :)

Love this place, good service, quality food, and relaxed feeling. I ordered BLT and loved the way they made the bacon. My gf loves their omelette as well, they even gave us free hot tea! Will definitely come back next time.

Nice find! In a little town where there seem to be so many highly priced eateries for visitors in town, it’s so refreshing to find a local hangout. The entrance is on a side road away from the main touristy traffic. We had no problem finding parking on the side street. Super casual and friendly crowd. We walked in, picked a table and caught the eye of the waitress behind the bar. She came over with menus and we placed our order couple minutes later. Chantal was friendly and checked in on us if everything was okay. Started out with the stuffed jalapeños poppers and the surprise 16oz «surprise» beer. Get the poppers, a must have! I enjoyed the ahi tuna, seared nicely and I got to sneak some amazing Onion rings from hubby’s plate of Russell Burger. He thoroughly enjoyed the burger, so thick had to cut into quarters. We’d definitely come back for more jalapeño poppies and burgers and try their spicy wings.

Divey bar. Really good food, the spicy BBQ chicken burger /sandwich is very spicy! I was crying! Thought it was awkward that children were at the bar though…

So glad we stopped by on our Big Bear trip Food was AMAZING, service went well the atmosphere was a bit out of my element, but then again it is a bar, our waitress was nice, although it was hard to get waited on because she seemed preoccupied with the guys at the bar, all in all would revisit this place solely because of the food! If your looking for huge delicious burgers this is the place. Also checked in to this place and was told by the waitress we would get our fried zucchini and mushrooms, but never did. It was okay I guess I was super full from the meal, so I didn’t mention it.

We will definitely be back and recommend this place to our friends! Fun local dive bar somewhat away from the busy Village shops with a fantastic menu — normal bar grub and also healthier options. Food portions are very generous… Our burger was humongous and we took HALF home. If you check-in you get a free appetizer! We got the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers which came in a serving of 4 and did not disappoint. We also ordered the salmon which was perfectly cooked and came with a large serving of veggies in an interesting balsamic-type light sauce. Service is a bit slow because they get PACKED, but they were super friendly and we weren’t in any hurry so didn’t mind. Come at least 45min before karaōke starts or you’re not going to get a table! If you buy a hat for $ 7 you get any free beer too! Hubby really liked that because they have some decent craft on tap.
