I had a sewer block last weekend while my friends were using my cabin. Called a contractor who came with his plumber took both toilets off, tried to rooter out the block in the line, then called and told me it would cost over a $ 1000 to fix since they would have to go out in the front yard, jackhammer the frozen earth, add a clean out port to my main sewer line, then come back in the Spring and replace the sewer to the street from the house for $ 2500. I declined. A friend told me about Adam Joens. He came to the house the same day I called him, and had the drain open and toilets back in place and the house cleaned up in less than 2 hours, and all for slightly over $ 200. This included a rental for a longer snake than he owned. In addition, he checked the plumbing all over the house while he was there, and discovered my 25 year old water heater was leaking and rusted and about to go out completely. He is a wonderful person. He seems to really care, and as has been said, makes you feel he is «family». I could not recommend him enough. 5 stars.

Our water heater started leaking on the day after Thanksgiving. We shut off the water to the house as we couldn’t get the water to turn off to the tank. Plumbers we had used in the past were super busy and not able to respond. I called Adam at A R Joens Plumbing not sure what to expect. He is a delightful, hardworking plumber. He said he would be honest with us. He charged a reasonable price and stuck with it until the work was done even though there was a problem with the brand new water heater(broken heating element in the tank repaired at no additional charge), he came back and fixed it! He even washed my dirty dishes since we were absent when it was fixed! He sent me photos of the completed work and had a neighbor confirm that the water did indeed, heat up.
