This place has«date night» written all over it. Amazing pizza. Great beer. Phenomenal price. Will definitely return!

Had the opportunity to share our 29th wedding anniversary with one of our parents who needed a break from the mundane offerings at her abode. Service was friendly, accommodating and patient with us as we were slower to pick our dinner choices than most. Dinner was great. I had the Spinach & Mushroom Lasagna, hubby has Sausage Lasagna and Mom had the Spaghetti & Meatballs. Sauce is freshly prepared and flavorful. Portions were ample. We all agreed that we will be coming back soon.

Small deluxe pizza just the right size. Abundant amount of fixings for sure. Very tasty. Wednesday night $ 8 bottle of wine night — 2013 Salmon Creek Merlot, so-so. Service excellent. Garlic knots like the wine, so-so. A Parmesan sauce would have been nice. If you’re used to knots from NYC pass on these. There were 5 in our group so we got seated in room with a table of 8 — little noisy so conversation across the table was a little difficult.

Pizzeria Vivo is a great place for dining. I have been there several times and have never had bad food, or a bad experience. In the spring I ordered a delicious meal, they then told me it was going to be taken off the menu but I could still continue to order it. They also have Wine Wednesdays and they allow you to the cork the bottles and take them home.

Great unexpected find in Big Rapids! If you appreciate fresh pasta and homemade red sauce, you’ll enjoy this place. They convinced me to add a meatball to my pasta dish, not something I ordinarily do but it was so worth it! My only disappointment was the lack of delivery on the garlic knots promised by the menu, but then again I didn’t ask after them because I had plenty to eat.

Return visit one year later(July 2013): It’s still GREAT! We actually chose Big Rapids as our«layover» city for a long drive just so we could eat here and we were as impressed as much this visit to Vivo as we were last time.

I’m in Big Rapids four days a week for school, and I’m gluten intolerant. There are few options in Big Rapids for gluten free eating, so when I heard there was a pizza place that offered gluten free pizza, I was very excited. However, when I stopped by Pizzeria Vivo! last night to order a gluten free pizza, I was told none of the pizza sauces were gluten free, and that the crusts were almost definitely cross contaminated as well. Offering a gluten free pizza that is not gluten free is a bit beyond ridiculous. Spanky’s will continue to be our option for regional GF pizza, even if I can’t get to Fremont very often.

The house salad with provolone cheese was lite and refreshing. The baked spaghetti was excellent. A very nice place to eat. The restroom was clean and well kept. The wait staff are polite and courteous. This is a good bet for Italian dishes from pizza to pasta or various protein dishes.

The pizza is the best in town and you can customize it to have any of the 17 toppings they offer, along with 5 kinds of sauces. The pasta is always good and the portions are enormous. I recommend the Buffalo Wing Cavatappi. The layout is weird as another reviewer stated. In one area there is a stairway that must go to a living quarters upstairs and the staff/family members were constantly going in and out of it. A couple of negatives; the last time we went in two of the staff were eating their dinner at a small table next to the entrance, not the first thing you want to see. Also, the to go orders are about ½ the size of a dine in order. Once at lunch I ordered the Buffalo Wing Cavatappi and my coworker ordered hers to go, hers was way smaller. She would have been better off ordering it to dine in then having them box it up to go. I once ordered it for pick up with the same results, plus it was missing the chicken. The staff is friendly and the service good. Overall a nice place to dine

Pretty good service. I went with my gf for dinner and we had the artichoke dip for an appetizer which came very quickly, and would recommend to anyone. I had the sausage lasagna which was pretty good. MASSIVE portion. Gf had the chicken parmesan which she thought was nothing special. Overall good place decently priced. Felt a lot like olive garden. They are known for pizza which we have yet to try.

Very good pizza, good(and very inexpensive) craft beers, and a small but tasty antipasto platter served in what was clearly formerly a residence. The house pizza was good with a nice, slightly spicy sausage. The margarita pizza was okay but could have used a stronger basil flavor. The antipasto pizza was my favorite of the three(and the one that I actually ordered, which was fortunate) and had whole mushrooms and olives as well as salami all over a classic red sauce. The antipasto platter itself was delicious. Fresh mozzarella, kalamata and green olives, salami slices, and a little pasta salad. A nice portion for two. The service here was very friendly but a bit slow. The set-up of the place suffers from having formerly been a house. Our table, for example, was in a room that had formerly been a front porch — outside the house. So the server had no way to keep an eye on us and see that we were ready to order, needed more water, or were ready for the check. It’s something the place is going to need to find a fix for.
