It is exactly what you would expect — good asian food that comes at a cost of money and time. the place was packed at 4pm on a saturday afternoon. There is only one waiter/cashier. I waited 45min for the beef phở when i ordered the combo phở. 45min for phở is unheard of since the soup is supposed to be already cooked and you literally place noodles and meat in it. The table next to be got their appetizer spring rolls at minute 42 so it obviously isn’t what you order. So for $ 9, i got the smallest bowl of overpriced phở i’ve ever had but it was undeniably good. All the taste you want, well prepared, and it hit the spot. I’m sure the food isn’t the problem as people kept coming in but be prepared to wait, and double check the order. Mine was not the only one that came out wrong.

This place was so good. I love the food. Also, I heard that Lukas Sealy’s sister owns this place. OMG, Lukas is so fiiiine! I hope to meet him here some day. He has the cutest work out outfits. I bet he has a perfect egg roll.

Everytime I have eaten here and ordered from here the food and service has been top natch. The owners are friendly. The food is fresh and amazing! Our favorites are the Phở and Phad Thai. We’ve had their sushi and it was very good, as well. This is the only place we will eat Asian food in Billings.

A great place to eat. Wanna get out of the ordinary typical Chinese place? I recommend going here.

Wow! The Phad Thai is amazing! I had the Yakisoba with beef and it was great! The spicy dragon sushi was fantastic! The owners are very friendly and the owner’s wife is from Thailand so her knowledge of the food and the cooking procedures is spot on! We will always stop in and eat here when we are in this part of Billings.

Driving through town stopped for some Phở. It was slightly different than I am used to but it was still delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Will go back to get my Phở fix. My friend had Phở for the first time that night and loved it.

Very poor service and mediocre food. It took 40 minutes from when I sat down to get a single roll of sushi. I saw several people come in after me and get served before me. When I was finally served, I was disappointed, the roll was a decent size but the eel on top was tiny. Having payed considerably more for eel I expected more that a dime sized piece on top. It ended up tasting alright, but the service was just so poor I won’t be going back

I am glad that I can find one restaurant serves Phở in Billings. But its phở has too many oil… Save money on lipstick, lol.

This is the only restaurant in Billings which serves Phở. Although the Phở is not really authentic but I consider it is pretty good with the availability of ingredients in Montana. Phở is kinda bland but you can add hoisin sauce or fish sauce to make it to your taste. The spring rolls are really fresh and good. The spicy beef is excellent. They use real beef, not the kind of fake-tasting beef like some other Chinese restaurants usually serve. Garlic shrimp is good too. Other thing I love about this restaurant is the service. The owner is usually the only waiter, he is so kind and nice. During the busy time, the food could take along time so be patient. However, if you wait for along time, he will give you 10% discount without you even ask for it.

Giving 5 stars b/c if you want Phở in Billings your options are limited but A taste of Asia does it right. The owner is friendly & attentive. The atmosphere is nice, clean, and no funky smells typical to some phở joints. I had the beef tenderloin phở add shrimp. Although my broth was somewhat bland they give you plenty to doctor it with and the portions are better than expected. I will most definitely visit again! Come get it!

Amazing food and even more amazing staff. Came in for dinner & was immediately greeted by the owners, we ordered and recieved our food within 20 minutes. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the spring rolls and the miso soup, both were prepared and cooked perfectly. The peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls was lighter than ones I’ve had at other restaurants but it was the best I have ever had! My friends had the drunken noodles, chicken teriyaki, and beef bulgogi and all had nothing but positive things to say about the food. The service was amazing and through talking to the owners we learned that they donate all of their tips to two villages in Laos to build libraries and schools, as well as helping to buy books and uniforms for the people there. Truly incredible. Awesome food, awesome staff, awesome service, awesome cause. Taste of Asia is truly a gem.

That sickening moment when you realize you took a local’s opinion on cultured food. I hate to say it, but I have made ramen with more flavor than their phó; no excuses! No basil? Really? It doesn’t grow here? Really? So sad! Go buy some!!! Not sure what their peanut sauce for the spring rolls was, either. I tried it, but as with everything else, supremely underwhelmed. In the end I know where the blame goes. Me. I know better. :-(. Great and polite staff. All this place has going for it.

I was recently introduced to really good Phở in Las Vegas by a friend. I was sad thinking I wouldn’t get it again until I returned to Vegas for a visit. So imagine my elation at discovering that Billings, Montana indeed did have a restaurant that served Phở! I immediately texted my friend my exciting news, and he told me to hold off on celebrating until I actually tried it since«there are a lot of bad phở restaurants.» Well… this place has good phở! Am I a phở expert? No. Have I eaten it three times in the past few weeks? Yes. Double yes, and I plan on going back as soon as I can. :) What is phở? some of you may be asking? It is a delicious Vietnamese soup with noodles and meat. NOT easy to make yourself due to the different spices and many steps involved(as I discovered upon an internet recipe search.) So… GO! Go try it and enjoy! I am now a huge fan who will NOT be disappointed since I can find it just blocks away from my house! In Billings, Montana… who would have thought?

I have spotted this restaurant the last few times I have been in Billings for work. The Unilocal reviews kept me away. However, back in town this week for work, I’m fighting a wicked head cold and the mere *idea* of even a mediocre, hot, spicy bowl of phở was too much to pass up. I was immediately concerned when I walked in because it was empty and I contemplated walking back out. But again, the thought of inhaling spicy phở and draining my sinuses was too alluring. Fortunately, it started filling up after I ordered and I felt more confident. I ordered a raspberry boba. The consistency was like a thin milk shake. Not at all like boba I have had millions of other times. I suspect it came from some kind of mix. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t what I had anticipated. The tapioca had a different flavor as well, though the color and texture were right. IDK, maybe I would try again. Then my steaming bowl of beef tenderloin phở arrived! It was glorious! The meat was not sliced paper thin so that when it hit the boiling broth it would cook in seconds. But, I’m over that. It came with all the proper fixins’ and even some I haven’t seen before. The broth was delicate and flavorful. The noodles abundant and perfectly prepared. I added the basil, jalapeño slices, the sweet brown sauce, hot chili paste, lime, and then dug in. It was glorious! The tastes, the textures, the heat. It was all there! I eat the noodles and meat first and then drink the broth.(I know some people do the reverse.) My nose was running, the broth was dripping all over my shirt, my brow heated up — it was exactly as a bowl of phở should be. YES I will go again! YES I will recommend it!

Jason and his wife are some of the most wonderful people I know. For everyone writing this review and judging him based on the fact that he is white, he’s spent more time in Asia than you probably ever will, and his wife(an Asian woman) does most of the cooking. I’m gonna go to bat here and say it’s really quite racist to assume that a white man can’t make asian food. Cooking is a skill that comes with practice, not just something you get from being born with superpowers based on where you’re from. Julia Childs wasn’t French, but she is arguably one of the most well-known French chefs of all time. They are a small business, and I appreciate the hard work and care they put into preparing their food despite being both parents and owners of a restaurant. When you’re a regular here, you’ll be treated like it. The sushi is always fresh, the food is always good, and it’s been a tradition with my friends to come here since we were kids.
