Not the healthiest place to eat but easily some of the best drive-thru food in town. My personal favorites are the chicken sandwich and gems. My personal favorite for drive-thru food.

I love this place. I had lunch here today and it was killer as usual. In my opinion one of the best fish sandwiches in Billings. Order it with cheese and extra sauce and wash it down with a bee-bop. The trick is to call in the order and walk to the back door to pick-up. No line and no waiting. This is one of the last ma and paw places left in this town. Hope they never close. Probably not one of the healthiest choices for lunch but hey do you want to live forever! I will probably die with a big belly and a bigger smile on my face. Keep doing what your doing King’s Hat.

This place is a must for me. This has been my favorite restaurant since I was a kid and it still is! It is well worth the wait for food here, it’s always hot! I hope they never ever close.

Have been eating here and LOVING it since I was a child. Try the flying cheeseburger loaded with fries. The fries are homemade and you get huge portions. Oh– and get a shake.

Everything about this place brings back happy memories of high school days… their flying burger is wonderful and so is their Hot ‘n Tot. A ‘must visit’ on my return trips to Billngs! Was only in Billings 5 days but squeezed in 2 visits!!!

This place has been here since my 65 year old parents were in high school.(ask for your burger«flying» next time). I have fond memories of picking up BBQ ham sandwiches and hot’n’tots for lunch after dropping off a load of wheat at the grain elevator. it’s still exactly the same as it was 30 years ago, delicious!

Hole in the wall deliciousness! Basically a drive-thru only. For fun, have your burger squeezed shut(Flying Saucer Please). Yummy mushrooms for a side.

Drive thru only. Marshmallow shake = good(large: 20 oz) Double bacon cheeseburger = absolutely delicious(fast food sized: small) Fries = really good and homemade(small: more than I could eat) It looked like a mom and her kids were working in there. The wait for the food was definitely less than 5 minutes. There was no line at all at 6:30 on a Saturday night.

You can’t go wrong with flying burgers and a chocolate malt! SO good! As a previous reviewer pointed out: long lines(usually moves pretty quickly) and nowhere to really stay to eat. Not in the greatest area of town — but worth the drive!

Good greasy greatness! This place is fast food but not a chain. So good though! Their burgers are on the small side. I can handle a double no problem. Onion rings are decent and the milkshakes are pretty good. I’m a little worried living so close but I’ll try and manage eating here in moderation. If I had one wish for this place is that they could somehow make a flying double… The flying burger was awesome but I wanted another

Unless you are looking for it(and you should), you would never know it was there. What a neat place for Billings, a throwback to a time when the burger wasn’t institutionalized, and each joint had a unique character. This was my first visit, and I tried the double cheese Flying Burger(kind of a burger in a bread pocket) recommended by the server. This was real good, and next time I’ll order extra onions on mine. I also ordered a small order of fries, which would qualify as a large anywhere else, and was suprised to find delicious fresh potato fries which was worth the trip for its own sake. This, with a med. soda and the tab came to $ 6.75…good value in my book. I’ll definitely be back. A note for those from the East: for anyone who has eaten at the original Swanky Frank’s(not the current versions) in Norwalk, Ct., if you are anywhere near Billings(Yellowstone, for example) make a point of stopping here; this place evokes that old-fashioned burger joint ethos, and is worth the visit. And a note on service: kudos to the server who put up with my rude cell phone call(this is a drive thru with three speakers!); was patient in explaining the menu to a first timer, and was happy to explain that while she didn’t have tomato, she would be pleased to put some lettuce in my Flying Burger(I didn’t). I be happy to return just for the pleasant service.

I love love love love love love love love Kings Hat. There is no better fast food I have ever had. The best little hometown fast food burger joint! The lines will be long at lunchtime any summer day, often back out onto the street. The best part is: the wait is worth it. I am not sure if they sprinkle crack on their greasy little burgers, but it just tastes soo good! I can’t identify the exact part of what makes this place so delicious. Whether it is the fact that it is a local resaurant or it’s the limited availability(only open during the nice weather months), I make a point of eating here when I am in Billings if at all possible. This is one of the places that I truly miss in Billings. Warning, this is a drive-thru only place. There are like three little tables in front of the place you can park and eat at, but you’ll be breathing in hot fumes from the cars waiting in line or the dusty dry Montana wind blowing from the other direction: it all seems to add a little something extra to the experience though.
