I come to Billings at least 2 or 3 times per year but I always stop at the Chop House at least one night of my stay. They are a small chain and I have been to other locations. I appreciate that they are consistent in both service and food quality. Our table ordered the 20 shrimp for $ 15.00 as an appetizer with the srirachi sauce, no complaint there and decent size shrimp. The cedar plank Salmon and Sword fish were both amazing. But the real treat was the 32 oz Bone in Ribeye that was dry aged for 50 days… «Now that’s what I’m talking about». The ribeye was $ 60.00 and well worth it. Thank you, Chop house for providing a great evening with«Conner» our waiter. He was very entertaining and the service was fabulous.

Met a business associate for a nice steak dinner on a Tuesday night. Place was packed, luckily we had reservations, and were seated promptly. I had the ribeye and my guest had the strip. The ribeye was perhaps the finest steak I’ve ever had. UNBELIEVABLE! Perfectly cooked, well seasoned and the sides and salad did nothing to take away from the experience. Had the asparagus and broccoli as sides and they were tremendous. Drinks are a strong pour and the service was outstanding.

Out-of towners: looking for a good place to enjoy a great dinner? Rib and Chop is your spot. Get reservations! Great steaks, always cooked as ordered. The fried green tomatoes are TODIEFOR(I don’t even like tomatoes), and the squash casserole is sooo good. The cedar planked salmon is also one of my favorites I’ve had several work dinners here + have even reserved the meeting room… the staff has always been very accommodating and helpful.

After enjoying The Fieldhouse last night, I can’t say that it impressed me as much. That being said, the fried green tomatoes were quite good. I also enjoyed the tomato soup. I ended up ordering the 1 lb. ribs, which were good, but not great. The price was very affordable, though($ 17 or so). The carrot soufflé was loaded with some brown sugar and thus, very good. I could have gone for some dessert, but my buddies were all stuffed from their steaks, so alas, I left without getting my sweet tooth craving filled.

I happened to stop at this place on a cross country journey. The piece of meat I had was one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten in my life!
