Tire Rama

Charged me $ 50 more then what was told because I brought in tires that were purchased new online. I guess new tires are harder for these fools to mount then used ones. I still saved money buying online but next time will use b & b King

Incompetent mechanics, worst experience ever! I brought my car in to get a new set of tires for a total of $ 600+. Tires were great, BUT service was awful at best. In the time my car was in Tire Rama’s care, they stripped out most of my custom rims screws in the center cap (including but not limited to decorative ones that don’t even come unscrewed), put several scratches down the side of my car, scratched up my rims, AND lost 2 of the air caps that go on the tires (and match the rims)! They called me about four hours after I brought it in, telling me that they have to break or drill out my center caps in my rims because they couldn’t get them out to balance my car
. After much deliberation and anger about the fact that a $ 700 set of rims was going to be destroyed by them, I told them just do it. It’d cost me more money if my car wasn’t balanced and something broke because of it. They refused– they told me they didn’t have enough time and wouldn’t balance it until next week. So I went home in a heavily vibrating car, and was told «just bring it back next week.» Upon arriving home, we found the tool and removed the center caps in LESS THAN 5 minutes by ourselves!
So glad I didn’t let them break out my center caps. They treated me and my car like I was a teenager with a $ 500 car, not a $ 6,000 car and an adult. I’m furious. I ended up taking my car to a Tire Rama on the West end today where they will balance my tires, I’m not going to pay somewhere else to do it when I already paid $ 600+ for Tire Rama to do that and more. They need to be able to finish a job. There is no reason a company can’t finish a job when you pay over half a thousand dollars for new tires.
They actually TOLD me they were in too big of a hurry and didn’t have the time to finish my car that day! Why start something if you know you won’t be able to finish it, and why not try to take the center caps off FIRST before putting new tires on? Long story short– if you care about your car at all, don’t go to Tire Rama in the heights. They don’t care about what you want, or what they do to your car. The tires are great, but Tire Rama doesn’t make them. For $ 100 more, I could’ve went to L&P and gotten an alignment with a new set of tires. This is not the first time something bad has happened from this place, I know two other people (who haven’t reviewed on here) that have also had major problems with the heights Tire-​Rama. Update– It’s been however many months now since I wrote this and I have to bring it back into Tire-​Rama again this week. Why? Because the balances they put on my tires fell of, which are causing it to drive very badly and vibrate like crazy.
I never even got so much as one apology. This was an awful!

The crew at the Billings Heights store is great.
I stopped in with no appointment to get the Wifes tires rotated.
They got me right in and did the job in about 15 minutes.
They have great customer service that is rare these days.
Stop in and give them a chance, you won’t be disappointed!

Rude, uninformed employees and terrible service. I have found this to be true on multiple visits. I usually try to spend my money in the Heights but this place is just not worth it. You’re better off going to the downtown location.
