My favorite theatre on the coast. Like most community theatres, it’s not the fanciest place and the audience skews older, but the shows that I’ve seen have all been great. They also have a pretty good variety, and even have cool stuff like improv shows once a month! It doesn’t hurt that they serve surprisingly cheap drinks.

Center Stage is a community theatre located in Biloxi north of Edgewater Mall. Like all community theatres, quality varies from show, but on the whole Center Stage is a very slick operation, often making use of local celebrities and particularly noted for memorable sets. The audience is typically older and the material tends to be on the «safe» side – farces, comedies, and mild dramas. There are exceptions, but the theatre tends to shy away from drama or anything that is edgy or controversial, and it has a certain «snob appeal.» For information on current offerings call (228) 388‑6258.
