Practically lived here. Tickets are a good deal, cheaper than NOLA. Love this venue and all the things that come here! I went for concerts, Disney on Ice, Festivals, conventions, Christmas City, circus, and Ice skating. It is a great location, and has great shows that come. I hope that they get even more in this place!

Terrible location for a concert. Traffic is terrible and there doesn’t seem to be any cops around to help direct traffic and alleviate congestion. If you do go to a concert here, make sure to leave about 2 – 3 hours early because an hour from the Hard Rock isn’t enough time and you’ll miss half the concert.

Now Biloxi, Mississippi is definitely the smallest town that I have been in for years, but I think this town has some spunk, and some of that spunk is because of the Coast Coliseum. I went to the Coast Coliseum to see a hockey game, and it was actually my FIRST hockey game I have ever gone to. It was pretty exciting. They have some very loyal Mississippi fans. The crowd was pumped up and thats all you could ask for. The Coliseum is small comparatively to the others I have been to, but for the size of Biloxi, its pretty big. It has a nice vibe to it, isn’t to confusing to navigate throughout, and has everything one needs to enjoy the event. The concessions don’t have a huge selection of things and are cash only. So remember to bring cash if you don’t like being charged fees for withdrawing money. Definitely try to catch an event if you are in the area!

Went to an away game in Pensacola… parking and getting in the door were both hideous nightmarish experiences compared to parking & getting in the door for Surge games at the Coliseum; the box above the ice in Pensacola only shows the score, while the Power Plant shows the action on the ice, plus action in the stands with Kiss-cam, Kung Fu Fighting-cam, quick dancing contests to vote on for the kids, etc… just a great all around experience for everyone in the family that u won’t get anywhere else nearby!

Needs a renovation. New convention side is too big for its own good.

While I wish there was a hockey team closer to New Orleans(major, minor, I don’t care as long as it’s hockey), this isn’t a horrible drive to catch a game. It seems like there is a lot of parking for a typical event. Granted, there was something going on at the convention center next door and the parking attendants directed us all the way to the 2nd floor of the parking garage(still not sure why)… but still not a terrible walk to the Coliseum. As for the hockey game, it was pretty good. Growing up in Kingston, Ontario, I’m used to locals supporting minor league teams just as much as the pros, so the turnout for the Mississippi Surge playoff game on Saturday was pretty horrible. I mean, the crowd that was there was into it, but the seats were mostly empty. Hopefully they can attract more fans and stick around for a while. It was a very enjoyable game in a nice venue. The concession stands were great and there were numerous promotions to take part in(50⁄50 raffle, jersey raffle, puck toss, t-shirt catching, etc). We’ll definitely return from time to time, whenever we have a free weekend to drive to Biloxi and catch a game. I have the public skating on my to-do list too, as my half-Canadian baby will have to learn how to skate eventually.
