Shaggy’s Biloxi Beach

Our server was Brittany! Great personality! My husband had the fried red snapper and said it was fantastic! He loved the squash/​zucchini medley. I had the Bahama Grill Mahi. It was a little dry but loved the coconut rice The Spooner Margarita was very good. Great experience! Ask for Brittany when you go. Ask her what she thought about the movie The Other Woman!

The meal was good! So good in fact my wife and I were going to use them to cater our wedding! We asked the waitress if we could speak to the manager and she said she would get her… after an hour of waiting the waitress brought us the managers card and said to just email her she was too busy. She was just walking around talking to tables but managed to avoid our table. I would not recommend this place for catering!

Our bartenders Deanna and josh went above and beyond! They were amazing. I love the outside beach atmosphere and we can’t forget about the Amazing food. You have to try the stacker

My Pops was our tour guide and he brought us here to eat.
The service was very good and we sat outdoors and the view of the gulf was very nice.
The food is huge platters of mediocre tourist fare. Not one dish we ordered stood out as memorable.
Meh. I’ve experienced better and will never return

Service was good, the bartender was bad… food was slow and not very tasty at all. Drinks were weak and watered down (had to ask another different bartender to fix our drinks and we have 10 people…)

had the cajun popcorn appetizer, it was great and a lot. was pleasantly surprised when i couldn’t eat it all. kids meals were reasonable too. we were seated in 5 mins, servers were friendly and kitchen was quick. i enjoyed a rasta punch while the kids played on the ship in the sand. i think one of them even got stuck on the ship but with a rasta punch & great view i wasn’t moving. disclaimer no kids were harmed in this review., they eventually figured it out.
ps. we visited in feb ’16. this review has been on the to do list, so glad i can finally cross this one off.

ALWAYS a great time here! Favorite place in Biloxi! Keep up the good work! Food is great and drinks are fantastic. Staff is always super nice! If you’re ever on a wait just sign your name on the waiting list and grab a drink at the bar! They let us walk out on their dock with it! Their dock is huge it extends really far. We sat down out there and waited with our drinks over looking the beach. By the time we were almost done with them a table was ready for us. We had an awesome time. Walked to the beach from their back dock after. Big variety on food as well.

Really neat beach place to eat. This is what you want when you visit the beach. The atmosphere was 100% beach. The food was good the fried shrimp basket was nice. Really enjoyed the fact that they used ¹⁶⁄₂₀ shrimp instead of a smaller inferior shrimp, that say something about a owner. Crab Cakes were done nicely. The kids chocked was hand breaded not some out the freezer product. Server was all over it. She was buy and didn’t miss a beat.

My husband and I always enjoy going to Shaggy’s. It’s a fun atmosphere with lots of drink choices and good eats; however, our visit yesterday changed my opinion. Our server was great; she greeted us and took our order soon after we were seated. We ordered charbroiled oysters for an appetizer; however, they were not brought to our table until after our entrees and we were already full by the time they arrived. It appeared they had been overcooked and we’re very small in size for a 20 $ appetizer. I had the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake was cold, and the bun was not fresh. I am not one to complain; however, our experience yesterday was something I could not just let go.

Food was pretty good!!! My husband ordered the Seafood Pasta and he said it was the best pasta he’s had in a very long time. I ordered the eggplant dish, it was good but I wish it had more sauce on top. I also really enjoyed the charbroiled rock-​a-​collard oysters. They were excellent.

Stopped in to Shaggy’s Saturday afternoon for a few ice cold beers.
The bartender «Cupcake» was very efficient and friendly. We have been there several times and have to say, it’s the best on the beach! My favorite is the Green fried tomatoes.

Great place and great atmosphere. Service was good. We had an energetic and attentive waitress who make excellent suggestions. My mom got the grilled shrimp and said it was one of the best she has had. I got seafood pasta which was also wonderful. The sauce had a lot of seasoning and the presentation made it that much more enjoyable. Overall great place. Will definitely be back if I’m in town.

I don’t know what restaurant some of you all are referring to because we had a GREAT time here Saturday night! After getting married in Long Beach we all went here for dinner and the service was great. Ashly (the manager) was excellent, she even took this pic of us and our family without us even asking her to. Service was great, food was amazing, view was beautiful, the ambience was exceptional all in making the night just magical. We also received a slice of Cheesecake that said Congrats, compliments of Shaggy’s.

We had to send the food back twice because of it not being hot enough. When it finally was right it was awesome. The fried green tomatoes and the seafood platter was just great.

The menu is a little on the pricey side for regular
$ 8.00 — $ 22.00 tasting food. Amaretto Sour cocktails are not made very good here. Gumbo tasted like brown gravy over white rice with some chicken, 1 piece of shrimp, and we saw no sausage inside our gumbo. Not impressed at all this far. Although I will say our waitress was friendly enough to speak with the manager and have the item removed from our bill. The fried seafood platter was perfect!

My cousin wanted to come here for drinks on her birthday. Good choice. The fruity frozen drinks were delicious and tasted like candy – adult candy that gets you tipsy. Our server, Sarah was great. We told her we were gonna be «camping» at her table for a couple hours (and drinking) and she was completely cool with that. At some point, other people joined our party and they wanted to move to the covered bar area where we met Joshua. He was amazing too. He kept us entertained.
We ordered beach balls and a basket of fried things to munch on. Both were tasty. I met the kitchen manager who was just on TV talking about the new brunch menu Shaggy’s is starting up. I asked him if he could make the «deep fried pig» sandwich into an appetizer. He said he’s done it before and will keep it in mind.
We ended up leaving when a table with mostly kids sat next to us. At this point, our conversations were «R» rated. And we want Joshua not to lose tips because of us, so we moved on.
Overall, we had a good time. I would have liked a better «happy hour» specials, but it is what it is.

A dear friend of mine and I walked in around 3:15ish and sat outside. Even tho it was HELLA windy, it was GORG, not a cloud in the sky and the sunset was to die for.
Man, I hate when I can’t remember the name of the waitress because she was bomb! Super attentive, super nice, and happy to be there and when you’re happy to be there, I’m happy to be there! I told her that I cannot have drinks that are overly sweet, like, I get stomach aches. So, she recommended the Summer Smash — «cool and refreshing– vodka with peach schnapps and triple sec mixed with cranberry, lemon lime soda and fresh lime.»
4 drinks later and I was in there like swimwear!
I ordered:
Shaggy’s Nachos –w/​fried crawfish, No Sour Cream and No Cheese. So it had Jalapenos, Salsas, Black Beans, Lettuce, and tomato. Which it wasn’t too bad but since I didn’t get the two dairy sides I felt like they could’ve stacked up a bit on the other toppings. Crawfish was good, wasn’t fishy.
I enjoyed spending time with one of my girls, drinks were good and so was the service, unfortunately Nachos were just ok.
I’d go back, especially to try their other food but overall, Shaggy’s wasn’t too shabby ;)

This place is OK. If you want a great view of the beach while drinking or dining, this is the place for you. Good laid back atmosphere. Food is so-​so. Had a dozen on the half shell. They were quite small compared to others we had in Biloxi on this visit. We sampled the gumbo and fried green tomatoes. Again, the gumbo is better at Taranto’s and other places.
But come here for a cold libation, a snack, and a great view.
