The past several times I visited, it took a while to get drinks, even on slow nights. The bartenders did not like to be interrupted from their conversations, and were rude. The burgers didn’t even taste as great as they normally do. Probably not coming back, but I will be generous and leave 3 stars and assume they just had a bad few weeks.

Still has the Goodfellas feel. Still pitch black wiht nothing but table candles to guide you. Rib eye sandwich(**** stars) still the nest the meat was extra tender, perfectly cooked and served with a classic pickle and plain chips. Make sure you bring cash because they dont take plastic!!! For the price and the ambiance I definitely will be going back!!!

A friend took me here to get«the best steak sandwich on the Coast». Who wouldn’t want the knowledge of the one place that owns that title, so I’m in. We pull into the parking lot on a hot, summer day. Yes, it’s right next to the tracks. I’ve been in my share of dives and this will be one more, so in we go. The place is DARK. Cave dark. Back to the womb dark. Takes my eyes 3 min to adjust. It’s lunch time on Tuesday and the bar is about one fourth full. The others don’t seem to be there for lunch, though. The waitress was prompt and we of course ordered two dressed steak sandwiches. Five minutes later had two hot steak sandwiches with chips and a pickle spear. The steak is well cooked and salty. Probably marinated in Dale’s overnight. The bread is a ok and absorbs the juice. The steak was fatty in a good way. It’s not the best steak on the Coast, but in the right way and at the right time, I believe this may be the best steak sandwich on the Coast.

If you like dive bars this is a must stop in… If you like strong drinks, cheap good food(get the steak sammich) and free popcorn come here. This is by no means fancy but it’s fun. Nice jukebox too. Same bartenders they have had for yearsssss.

Dark, dive, limited menu with the best damn burgers on the coast. Definitely a local secret. Friendly service. Clean environment. Great Value. I don’t go anywhere but here for a burger. Don’t ask what’s in the secret marinade… it’s a secret, but whatever it is, it makes the burger so juicy and delicious. Don’t expect much but a good burger a cold beer a cheerful bartender and some chips.

I am going to give you the low down on The Project Lounge. I have been going here for years and I tell it like it is. To start off with, it’s a dive bar to the death! Be ready. The décor hasn’t changed since before I was born, at least that’s how I feel. I don’t go there for décor. I go there to eat, drink or do one of those two things when I want to be left alone. If you want service, sit at the bar. If you sit at a table, chances are you will have to wait a bit for service, especially if it’s busy. The bartenders are pretty good girls for the most part, I mainly am familiar with the night crew as I am not much of a day drinker. The drinks are strong and cheap. No two ways about it. They have a Touchtunes jukebox which is almost always playing except for when a big game is on. 4 or 5 tvs in the place to keep your attention if you don’t want to be bothered. The customers here range from homeless to high class and everything in between. There are quite a few regulars who usually sit at the end of the bar near the popcorn machine. Everyone likes to talk about the steak sandwiches. I have had them a few times and they were ok, but for my money, give me that damn burger! This is in a two way tie for my favorite burger on the coast. The prices went up a little bit here recently, but it’s still a bargain. Your choice of cheese, served with Lay’s potato chips and don’t ask for no damn fries! People have said that they have seen roaches in The Project Lounge and I can say that it is the truth, but it still can’t keep me from that damn burger!

If you don’t order the ribeye sandwich you are seriously missing out in life. The mother of all dive bars.

BeSt burger, ok maybe second best. It’s a great burger!!! They’re known for their rib eye steak samiches, which I’ve tried but wasn’t for me, too much gristle and fat. The burgers are my preferred meal.

The owner, Martha is the greatest lady. The Project is one of my favorite bars anywhere. A neighborhood bar where everyone is friends. Well served drinks, but the main attraction for me is the Project Steak Sandwich. We drive 600 miles at least once a year to visit the Project.

LOVEIT !! What a dive bar should be. Dark, cheap, good jukebox,& really good sandwiches. Got the grilled chicken hoagie with cheese & sautéed onions. Was surprisingly DELICIOUS. Will have to try the steak Sammy next time. If it’s half as good as the chicken then I expect it’s gonna be the«go to» steak sandwich spot. Now the really good stuff. If you haven’t met Tex then you gotta go just to say you met a legend, mouth like a sailor who was a burlesque dancer in Nola in the late 50’s early 60’s. Need I say more? Why no 5 stars? No PBR.

Great little dive bar close to my house. Great steak sandwich and steak salad. Definitely get a good bang for your buck with mixed drinks. The stickers stuck overhead at the bar are fun to read and the eclectic arrangements of decorations makes for a interesting little place to hang out. The only thing is you will, no matter what, leave smelling like an ashtray. Which should be expected I guess.

This bar is located within walking distance of the holiday inn where I stayed. Their prices were fair, the staff friendly, but the food was the real kicker. The secret is in the sauce that they put on the sandwiches and burgers. Overall, a great place to get a drink or a bite away from all the touristy spots and i most definitely will be back for more!

Great spot for late night snack. One of the better spots on the coast for a hot dog or burger. Hidden Gem.

Had not been here since the relocation. It was absolutely as expected & the burger hit the spot! Although I miss the hats on the ceiling, I did have fun with the little black quote stickers on the bar overhead!

A friend and I are from New Orleans and were in Biloxi for one night and looking to have a tourist-free great time. We found that and much more at this badass dive bar. It was everything we needed — internet jukebox; cheap, strong drinks; awesome bartenders that made us feel right at home; AMAZING pub grub! Seriously…go here.

after hearing great things about the project lounge, i needed a good dose of grease after a long night out. the burger was awesome and only $ 4.95, with chips. the budweiser was COLD, too. got out of there for $ 7 total — you can’t beat that with a stick. the place itself is cool as hell. your typical dark dive bar with a nice staff(super nice bartender) and a old-school atmosphere. i hear the ribeye sandwich is great too so i’ll try that on my next visit. go give these guys some business.

This place is really seedy, but that’s part of its charm. Located next to an adult video store a ways back from the beachfront in an area I would never explore without being dragged there by my co-workers, The Project Lounge is really something that has to be experienced. I rolled in with three coworkers one Thursday evening around 8pm. It was dark outside, but on the inside the dim lighting made it feel even darker. There are some TVs placed around the bar, a jukebox, and a popcorn machine from which you can help yourself. The server working that night was nice but I could tell she was just talking for talking’s sake, trying to say what she thought we wanted to hear. The place is pretty small so as we sat at our table we could hear conversations from all around the bar. Fun if you’re into eavesdropping on random conversations but slightly distracting if you’re trying to have a conversation of your own. The real draw of this place however, is the burger. Project Lounge claims to have the«best burger on the coast». While I’m not sure if that is true, it may very well be as the burger was surprisingly delicious and only for $ 4.50!!! Ultimately, while this place is a total dive, it is a slice of authentic life in Biloxi so it’s worth checking out.
