Walmart Supercenter

For a Walmart, this is one of the nicer ones. Let’s just say I feel more comfortable going to this one compared to the ones in Gulfport. They have a decent selection of organic items, and they’re near the beach and Edgewater mall.

I was sceptic at first of this highly regarded Walmart. Surely all Walmarts are the same dirty, poorly stocked hell hole that we’ve all come to recognize. Well I’m here to say that this Walmart lives up to the hype. Here are a few things that set this store apart from the other aforementioned hell holes.
First on the list: the bathrooms. The sinks all work magnificently. Sensors actually detect that you’re there and deliver a steady flow of water with sink basins deep enough so that you’re not getting water everywhere. I feel that most Walmarts almost discourage you from washing your hands, but not this one!
Next, the $ 5 movies. The discount movie bin has become synonymous to a post-​hurricane Katrina disaster zone. Here, the $ 5 movies are all on a rotating rack, making each movie title visible and easy to choose between. Simply amazing.
Last but not least: the stock. On my cross country road trip (in our camper), we’ve visited many Walmarts in the south as our main source of food and overnight parking. This is the first store that we’ve found the more esoteric southern comfort food ingredients like tripe, ox tail, and andouille sausage (not really esoteric, but strangely not found in many stores)
Parking lot is smaller than most other stores due to the train tracks that run in front of the store, but that’s only a problem at the peak shopping times between 4 to 7. Also, while they have an auto care aisle, they don’t have a shop for any mechanic work which is really it’s only fault.

Am I excited to rate a Walmart good!!! Heck yes!
Just got off work and need one more black out blind but the Gulfport Walmart didn’t have any. I couldn’t find any here either so the guys in the service area not only searched the computer but actually ran around and found me one. I got help from two super cool super nice guys at this store. I’m very pleasantly surprised. I work at the hospital down the street so this will be a go to if Walmart is needed. The Assist Manager had worked all night and still took the time to help. I wish i would have got their names but thank you for my first good service review at a Walmart– ever.

This is a pretty good Walmart. Nothing messy. For the most part items are in there place. Has a grocery section. A good one stop shop.

Since I had to add this Walmart location to Unilocal,I am assuming that this is a relatively new Walmart in Biloxi. It is pretty nice. It’s clean and well stocked. It has the usual Walmart offerings: a vision center, pharmacy, groceries, clothes, electronics, house goods, cosmetics and cheap prices. They have a pretty decent deli and lunch/​dinner to go area. They have sub sandwiches that were pretty tasty. They also had popcorn shrimp and wings, but I didn’t ever try those. The produce is sub-​par, but I find that to be true with all Walmarts. I bought some bananas that had no banana flavor, and one of the 3 apples I purchased was fine on the outside yet rotten to the core. I really liked their donuts and felt they have a good freshly baked goods selection (breads, cakes, cookies, pies, etc). Their meat selection is decent as well, and I was surprised by the taste and quality of the ribeyes I purchased from this Walmart. I usually don’t like meat from Walmart, but these ribeyes were delicious on the grill.
I felt their plastic cups/​plates/​trash bags and dog food was awkwardly placed over by the kids clothes, but I was able to find it. However, the clothes selection itself is pretty large. I only buy PJs and kids clothes at Walmart, so I can’t speak on the quality of their regular, everyday clothes. But they have a large selection and affordable prices. They also have a large selection when it comes to home goods, electronics and holiday/​seasonal stuff. I was in Biloxi during October with Halloween not that far off and I don’t think there was a monster-​sized bag of candy that you COULDN’T find at that Walmart!!!
The only downside of this Walmart which is the downside of any and every Walmart on the planet: parking!!! The parking lot is relatively big, but given that this is the main shopping for the thousands of residents in Biloxi, it becomes very VERY small when you go to find a parking spot! Expect to park far or wait for awhile.
Another complaint of most Walmarts is checking out and the long lines. I have visited this Walmart twice and felt both times that checkout went smoothly and as quickly as possible. Perhaps I was in good spirits both days, who knows lol
