The food here is absolutely delicious! I love their pierogies, halushka, their mac and cheese and their city chicken! They are very reasonably priced and I’ve had both take out and dine in. The restaurant is not very big but there is ample space between tables and very intimate dining.

Pierogies are my number one choice. Spicy Mac & Cheese comes second. This place is small but a great Homemade meal will be served for you once you come in that door.

Very yummy food. A little different than my great grandmas recipes but a great choice if you want Eastern European classics. I tried the sampler combo which came with city chicken, 2 pierogi, a holupki, and a side which was spicy Mac and cheese for me. The city chicken was delicious — tender and well flavored. The holupki was good, but the most different in style from what I’m used to. You could really taste the caraway and sauerkraut which I don’t put in mine. The sauce was also thinner than I’m used to. It was still very good, just not the best holupki I’ve ever had but that might just be personal preference. The pierogi were good, and win in the area for size. All the other restaurants in the area serve little guys, but these were about double the size. They also had Carmelized onions which was a nice touch — most places just use sautéed with a very yellow butter. They also had a little bit of garlic salt and parsley on them which I don’t think they needed — another reviewer said everything was salty, and while I dont think this was too salty I just don’t think they needed it. The spicy Mac and cheese was very good too. I got some kolacky as well and they were really well executed — uniformly thin dough and consistent sizes. I know how tough these are to make so hats off to them! I hope to go back and try the cabbage pierogi, and other flavors of kolacky. Oh and zazvorniky and the kielbasa… Service was very nice and quick. I got my order to go and was in and out in about 10 – 15 minutes. I’ll probably call ahead next time though. Can’t wait to try more!

Very salty. Much too salty. Too bad. Mom in the kitchen and the flavors are authentic. Be forewarned.

Very good food and Friendly service. Simple and clean setting. Had a dozen pirohi($ 8.95) and 2 city chicken combo with Mac N Cheese($ 7.49) pirohi were tasty and on the larger size. City chicken was also very good. Décor is simple. Paper plates and plastic utensils won’t deter me from another visit.

Being Czech, I love restaurants like this. Had chicken and Biscuits with a side of halushka. Everything was delicious. Definitely made with care. I will be back.

i’ve been meaning to try this place for the past couple years now and finally got around to it and i’m glad that i did. i got the sampler platter that includes 2 perogies, 1 halupki, 1 city chicken, and one side(i got the spicy mac n cheese). at first i thought $ 10 for all of that was a little too much, but then i tried the perogies and they were so good! they might be my favorite around, and they are about 3 times the size of the ones served at A Taste of Europe. the city chicken was a little on the small side but it had a good flavor and i think they used the traditional pork for it. the halupki was big but i wasn’t really a fan, there was some flavor in the sauce that seemed familiar but i couldn’t put my finger on it and i didn’t care for it. the cabbage they used though was thick so it held together pretty good. the mac n cheese was very flavorful, i want to try their other sides but this was so good that it’s going to be hard for me to not order it next time i go! i also tried the Kolacke. they were on the smaller side but the dough they used was really good, and the fillings were good as well. the inside of this place is pretty nice, it’s got a nice comfortable cozy feel to it and it has a lot of historical pics of the binghamton area, which i always love to see. there is seating here but not much, it’s a small space so it really is more of a takeout place, and as another reviewer mentioned the food served in house is served with disposable kitchenware, which really doesn’t bug me at all, the menu is limited to items that make for a quick meal that’s very tasty, definitely check this place out.

You can debate about the food, but I couldn’t get past the fact that I was eating off of paper plates and bowls, using white plastic forks and knives, drinking out of a soda can, and it was all served to me on a plastic cafeteria tray. It was not the dinner out that expected when I saw the photos of the restaurant’s interior.

Passing by one day and my son noticed the restaurant, returned a few days later to try it. Small place, seems geared more towards takeout, but the restaurant is very nice and clean. Limited menu, certain core items plus a special. I had the«Sampler Platter» which comes with Holubki, Pirohy, one piece of «City Chicken», and one side, I chose Halusky. Everything was very well-seasoned and prepared, the holubky were in the top 3 best I’ve ever had, with a great sauce. The pirohy were literally swimming in butter, but once drained were delicious. I don’t care for city chicken in the least, but I did try one bite, it was better than most I’ve had. I’d say that kids would tend toward the city chicken. Intend to go back and try some other items, especially the desserts, which I had no room for after the meal. Absolutely not Czech food only, more like Slavic/American. I’d recommend a visit, park in the lot next to the restaurant, they hadn’t changed the signs yet when I was there, and they said it was a tow-away zone unless you were a customer of the bar next door. Also not the greatest neighborhood, there are 2 or 3 bars close by and the denizens of such were wandering around outside, even though it was 90+.
