I can’t really say I go into Staples with great expectations. For me it’s just usually the lack of service. The floor seems to be void of staff. Although I’m rarely there for something that needs assistance, I hate to have to go and find it.
The last time I was in there to just pick up some supplies quickly the cashier kept talking to the previous customer while ringing out my transaction. Slid my card, he put my stuff in the back, handed me my receipt and kept talking to the customer about some of their current promotions. Never once acknowledged me or anything.
