The Shaman’s Den

Shamans den is absolutely awesome. Writing this review a long while after j first got my nose piercing, but my experience was so good that I remember it very well.
My friend went in to get her conch and I went in to get my nostril done. They had us sign a consent initially and show ID. The guys there took all the time in the world with each case. It was my first facial piercing ever and first piercing in a while but they talked me through everything and kept me from wimping out. While they were setting up they even explained what they were doing.
Everything was so clean and my experience was so wonderful overall.

Really excellent service! I went in to get my nose pierced. I’m a huge baby when it comes to pain, and the staff did everything they could to make me feel comfortable.
The place was super clean and professional. The guy walked me through each step so nothing was a surprise. The feeling wasn’t pain so much as pressure. By the time I «felt» it, he was already done!
This was a really impulsive (and unlike-​me) decision and I couldn’t be happier with it. They also had a nice selection of jewelry and a cool atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place.

The Shaman’s Den is the BEST, most professional tattoo parlor in the area, hands down. They are professionals, and won’t just slap a tattoo on anyone without knowing that it will stand the test of time, and that it actually looks good (amazing, actually). They are for real artists and you will NOT be disappointed.

Not gonna lie, when I first walked into this place I was terrified. I had never been in a tattoo studio before and was intimidated by the tough-​ass look of the place. I went there with a few friends to get piercings done and my friends said this was the best piercing place in the area.
It was a great experience! I was taken to a private room in the back that looked like a doctor’s office and was shown how each instrument is sterile. I had my nose pierced and it barely hurt. The person doing it (I forgot his name!) was extremely professional and clearly knew what he was doing. I was a little dizzy afterwards, since I get light headed easily, and the piercer gave me an ice pop.
This was back in 2010 when I was a student at Binghamton. Sadly I no longer have a nose ring. For a while I was debating piercing it again, but I’m nervous to go to a different place after having such a wonderful experience the first time around. I have actually debated taking the long trip back to Binghamton just for another piercing.

The guys at The Shaman’s den are amazing! And I’m not only talking about artistic talent, but personality, friendliness, and customer service. The list goes on and on. For many years I have only went to see Shawn, Dan, and Paul for all my tattoo and piercing needs. When you make an appointment with one of these guys, you receive exceptional customer service. And their shop is beautiful and incredibly clean. Yes, you may have to make an appointment and wait a bit, but it is worth the wait. By far the cleanest and most professional shop in the area. And they are hilarious. They tell you jokes and make you laugh the entire time you’re there. I am always made to feel comfortable and treated like a good friend when I visit The Shaman’s Den. I will never go anywhere else.

For years I have gone here for all of my tattoos piercings and scarification.
1. You will always find the shop meticulously clean, organized and exactly how you should find a sterile tattoo shop.
2. You will not be able to get a tattoo on the fly. It’s the best shop in the area. You will have to wait.
3. You will not walk away disappointed.
I had gone to other shops in the area only to have piercings done wrong. I have never had a bad experience here.

The guys at The Shaman’s Den are AWESOME. I’ve been tattooed by Paul for my first tattoo and he was more than accommodating. His artistic abilities are amazing and captured exactly what I wanted when I couldn’t describe it. He was understanding when I needed a break or two! Id highly recommend his work to anyone getting a tattoo.
I have been pierced by Dan twice and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. He walks you through step-​by-​step whats going on and shows you the clean materials. I feel great getting any modifications from these guys because of how clean and friendly they are.

Myself and 3 others attempted to get family tattoos here. We were quickly turned away due to the artist claiming he did not like the design and would not accommodate the spot we wanted them tattooed (wrist) and the size. He also claimed it would take over a week to draw up, which seems absurd to me since it’s simply a two line Celtic knot. I think that speaks highly to his extreme lack of talent. We quickly turned to a competitor in the Ithaca, NY area, who was MORE than happy to accommodate our needs. I can safely say I will never consider Shaman’s Den for any type of tattoo or piercing, and their service was beyond poor. If you’re looking for a tattoo, I’d highly advise looking elsewhere. Awful!

When I got my nipples pierced, I always intended to change the jewelry sooner rather than later. Two years went by and I still hadn’t done it. Finally, I was tired of looking at captive bead rings, and I had a few bucks to spare. The obvious place to go? Shaman’s Den!
The shop was clean, well-​lit, and really busy even on a Thursday at 2 PM. Everyone who was there seemed happy with the work they were having done. I picked out my new jewelry and went to the back with Dan, the piercer. Dan is a member of the Association of Professional Piercers, he’s got various certifications to reassure you that he knows what he is doing, and he’s just a nice, easygoing guy.
While it can be awkward to have a stranger poking at your tits, Daniel put me at ease pretty quickly. He was quiet and efficient, and he laughed a lot as I bantered with the friend who had accompanied me.
I was really happy with my experience here, and I will be back any time I need new jewelry. If I end up getting a tattoo, this is going to be the first place I look into.

I’ve been here 4x to get pierced or tattooed thus far and a few times to be moral support for my friends and every single time I leave so happy. The staff here is so wonderful. They are absolutely professional and clean and know how to deal with people. I have friends from all over who tell me to try their tattoo and piercing joints but I have gone out of my way to see the guys at the Shaman’s Den because I trust them so much. So enjoy whatever work you get done here, I’m sure it’ll be great!
