I am usually as trendy as a retirement home. I follow trends as they’re on their way out, fresh off the clearance rack. Last year, I went with a friend to pick up an Alex and Ani bracelet and I didn’t really take notice. They looked looked nice, but I never wear bracelets. I spend far too much time on a computer, and bracelets always seem to be more of a nuisance. It also doesn’t help that I have huge wrists.
As a holiday gift, my friend gave me an Alex and Ani bangle. I loved how simple it was and how it actually fit onto my huge wrist! I love the expandability. When I got home, I decided it would be a great gift for my mom, and I looked at some more designs on the website that I wanted to purchase.
I went on a Sunday, and I was surprised to see how many clerks were in the store. I was promptly helped and the clerk packaged everything beautifully.
When I got home, my mom decided she didn’t like my choice of charm that much. We went back a few days later and exchanged the bangle easily.
With most bangles costing $ 28-​$ 38, I could easily spend wayyyy more than I’m comfortable with. For now, I’m happy with my three bangles.
Apparently the Clinton Township store has a Detroit D charm. I will have to consider the drive on another trip home to get it.
