Got a new Longines watch today! Great customer service! Kirk, the owner, definitely knows his watches and was more than willing to work with you on the cost! A great collection of watches and looking forward to purchase more in the future!

Let me start by saying, I can’t understand the negative reviews here. I have had nothing but a very positive experience with Back In Time. In fact, I’ve gone in there just to talk watches and to get advice on nice places to buy jewelry in general, and never has anyone ever pressured me into buying anything! My fiancé ended up buying a couple of very nice slightly used watches from Back in Time. The price they gave her was absolutely incredible and the condition of the watches were essentially«brand-new». I’ve had a watch of my father’s reconditioned, and they did that exceptionally well for a great price as well. If you are interested in finding a great watch(used or new), I haven’t yet found anywhere that compares to Back in Time. The«no-pressure to buy» approach is something I really appreciate, coupled with there incredible selection of pre-owned swiss watches(and new-watches as well), really make this place my favorite watch store in SE Michigan.

I first did business with Back in Time when they repaired my Grandmothers watch. It works wonderfully. Then I asked if they could locate a wonderful Rolex watch for me. The owners found the perfect one — and did the quality checks of the timepiece and guaranteed it for 2 years. It was cleaned and polished when I picked it up and works great. I will definitely return to them whenever I need to.

Sold a couple watches to Kirk(owner) between 07 and 08. No problems with the store back then. I’d do anything to avoid going to Universal down the street(they are true shysters in every sense of the word). Went in there a month or so ago to ask if they wanted to buy a pretty expensive watch($ 15,000). The pseudo-hipster with the black, chunky, plastic eyeglasses was unbelievably condescending and rude to me. First of all, don’t act like you work at Cellini in NYC(don’t get me started on the employees at Cellini) and secondly, YOUWORKINRETAIL. Lose the attitude, sport. I would never go in there again. That salesman was the biggest jerkoff I’ve encountered in quite some time. I was a complete gentleman and simply left the store.

I stopped in to Back In Time to get advice on replacing the scratched crystal on my Universal Genieve automatic watch. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They also have a good selection of pre-owned Omega and Rolex watches. Nice store.

EXTREMELYRUDE! DONOTSHOPHERE! Both the owner, Kirk and the salesman were friendly the first time I came into the store shopping for a new watch. I ended up purchasing a watch from another local dealer in Royal Oak who offered an unbeatable price. I went back to Back in Time for another purchase. The salesman remembered me, saw a watch on my wrist that he did not sell me and asked me to leave the store. I asked to speak with the owner due to the salesman’s rudeness. The owner told me that he did not want any business from me, since I did not buy the first watch from him. He made it sound like I was obligated to buy his watch because his salesman spoke with me first. He escorted me out. At no time was I rude, raise my voice or disrespectful. I was just a customer wanting to shop in his store. Well, NEVERAGAINWILLTHEYGETANYBUSINESSFROMME.

One of the most knowledgable Rolex guys in town. He has serviced and repaired a few for me and has always done an incredible job. I think the phrase you get what you pay for is true here. If you own a vintage watch and don’t want to risk anything being screwed up or damaged this is the place to go.

Where do these folks get their comeuppance? I usually get my watches repaired at this little jewelry store in Seaford NY that’s been around for over sixty years. And this is a reminder to me to stick with who you know. I have had two experiences with this store and both over the phone and both with a man by the name of Kirk. I’m not sure if he’s the owner but if he is he should fire himself. Shit sell the business. The first time I spoke with him I inquired about a vintage watch listed on their website. The conversation turned into a «Let me TELLYOU what I know» didactic oratory. It was off putting and made worse by the fact that he had priced the watch considerably higher than its typically sold at. The second conversation with Kirk is what prompted this review and fair warning for folks considering shopping here. The bezel on one of my watches was pretty scratched up and needed to be replaced. I ordered the part from the manufacturer. Normally my aforementioned jeweler in NY replaces this for $ 10. I called Back In Time and the owner so confidently told me that in order to replace the bezel, yes just the bezel, he would have to overhaul the whole watch. I was so shocked by his confidence and assumptiveness that I repeated myself a total of three times-«But I only need to replace the bezel, the watch has just been serviced, oiled, tweaked, etc. It needs nothing more than to have the scratched bezel replaced»…to no avail. He was emphatic that the whole watch needed to be overhauled and for that he would have to see the watch to give me a quote for it. My point is this: I don’t even need to step into this store and I thankfully saved myself from patronizing such a place. And because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t be pejorative for no reason I called Metals In Time in Royal Oak for a price. $ 20 for replacing the bezel and JUSTTHE F-ING BEZEL!!!

Well kept store with a decent selection of new and used watches. However, prices are definitely inflated compared to other respective watch stores in the area. The owner Kirk quotes supposed«discounts» on watches with list prices far above MSRP. I get a lot of enjoyment shopping for and collecting watches. I try to purchase my watches locally in hopes to keep my $$ in the Metro-Detroit region. Personally, I feel Metals in Time in Royal Oak does a far better job providing customer service and has a greater selection of watches and jewelry. I would much rather spend my money at Metals then to give any additional business to Kirk and Michelle.
