Class Appraisal

They are a national company who has a network of appraisers that work for them. They do not vet their appraisers and as a result, I am out money. Moreover, their policy is NOT to help someone out when their appraiser makes a mistake.
Let me explain… First, I happen to be a very qualified real estate professional. My bona fides are not in dispute. The appraiser came to the location of my home purchase and before we got to the unit, he was complaining about how overpriced this area is, how much he hates it, how he would never live there, etc. His bias was evident.
He also picked an entirely outdated and frankly irrelevant comp set to use on his analysis. He used short sale data and old materials. When we gave him more recent comps, he rejected us outright and stood by his work.
When I told class about this they said they would NOT close the loop with me. They apparently feel since they got paid, it doesn’t matter if it was done ethically and responsibly.
Don’t use this company. They are not classy.
