Don Stewart is a creative genius. His pen & ink drawings are excellent and his ingenuity shines through in his «descriptive drawings» that follow the initial subject.
I have purchased various pieces of his work over the past five years. My favorites are The Scientific Table of «Elephants,» The Left & Right Brains, one of his newest: «Guts» and the fundraiser print of the Iwo Jimo Memorial, he did for the USMC Wounded Marine organization.
For Christmas he hand colored a baseball glove for my friend who is a baseball junkie — I sent him pix so he could personalize a few items in the print. It was so striking I was speechless (A true rarity) after having it framed and giving to my base ball bud for life (BBBFL), he did not hang in the man cave, instead it is prominently displayed in the entryway of their home so all can see and they too can see routinely.
