This place is a family favorite. It serves the most mouth watering burgers and homemade milkshakes you could ever want. They have an olé timey counter you can still sit at, or a few booths and tables if the counter is full. It is a working drug store too, so pick up tums or other antacids and head on down to this touch of sheer greatness.

Good ol fashion soda fountain drug store experience. Take your 10 – 12 year old child or grandchild for something a little different from the fast food chain. I also took my wife there for a Saturday midday outing when we were dating– that worked out good ;)

My go to place for a burger in the area. Everything is cooked to order, so be ready to wait a few minutes, but it is worth it. Standard crinkle cut fries, but the burger is the star.

Green Valley serves a wonderful traditional burger. The shakes are thick and made with only things that should go in a shake. Breakfast is well done and the griddle produces excellent results. The burgers are cooked fresh when you order them, so it takes a little longer than a fast food place, but you know your food is made for you, and not pre-cooked and sitting in a warmer. It’s worth it for a burger this good.

So I decided to try the infamous bacon cheeseburger out here at Green Valley Drugs. I arrived at 10:55 a.m., thinking I was beating the lunch crowd. I did beat them because lunch doesn’t start here until 11:00 a.m. Anyway, I sat and waited along with two teenagers who were there before me. Promptly at 11:00, the waitress came to take our order. She was friendly and accurate. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, no tomato, fries and a sweet tea. The prices were a little steep($ 3.00 for a handful of unsalted fries) but you get what you pay for. The cheeseburger lives up to the hype. Everything was fresh and unbelievably delicious. The lettuce was so fresh I could hardly stand to eat it. I’m not used to it from other chain restaurants. The onions were not overpowering, and there was just the right amount of condiments on the toasted bun. The chuck patty was well done without being dry. I enjoyed every bite and decided to order my mom a hamburger to go so she could try it for herself. If you are searching for a great old-fashioned hand-patted hamburger, try Green Valley Drugs. Just be ready to pay a little more for it.

Ok, the good: The burgers are always great, fresh, made with good meat. Fries are crisp. The place has an old, slightly dirty ethos, but is certainly fine for the situation. A word of warning: Make a calendar appointment to eat here. This is slow food. Burgers are not put on the grill till after the ticket is laid down. Even when busy and it would make sense to have some going, that ain’t gonna happen. So Place your order, look around and chat, and your meal is ready a good 20 – 30 minutes after you sit down. Never sooner. But it’s always hot and fresh. A little on the negative side. Service is moderately bad, with nary a smile to be seen. The people running the grill move at glacial speeds. I’d hate to see what would happen if they were being chased by a wild animal. It’s almost like watching a slow-motion film. It’s kind of funny. I quit trying to give specifics on condiments(hold the tomato, no ketchup, etc) because they’re going to put on there what they remember. Sometimes its the same, usually not. I saw that my ticket was written correctly, but the food was not. But, I’ll go back. I like the food, plan for the slow, and don’t mind the indifference.

Fantastic burgers! The prices are very reasonable and they have breakfast options too! I had the best bacon cheeseburger at this place. I will most definitely be back!

I don’t know why, the people working the lunch counter have always been so rude. Maybe they have horrible customers they have made them this way. I can’t figure it out. I’ve gone into the store on multiple occasions and the pharmacy folks are always smiling and helpful. This afternoon I was in the store buying shaving razors and I thought I’d be a nice daddy and get my kids a milkshake. I took one step towards the lunch counter and was stopped in my tracks when the waitress shouted«We’re closed!» and shook her head as if I was too dumb to realize without being told. It was 2:30pm on a Saturday and the tables were full of customers. I wish they weren’t this way. It is a charming looking little spot. I would love to own a place just like it. But here is my suggestion. If you need to fill a prescription go to Green Valley Drugs. If you want a burger, I’d go to McDonalds before I went there.

This is a classic soda fountain not unlike those from many years ago. All the usuals, shakes, burgers, fries, and you can sit right at the bar. It’s like a Johnny Rockets, minus the commercialism and the over the top 50s façade. Just a great piece of history, still family ran and offering great comfort food.

I can remember going here as a young child eating and having a banana split. Had the chance to take my son and he loved it just as much as I did. A place that hangs around that long is there for a reason. Go check it out; the burgers are great and so are the banana splits!

Nothing like stepping back in time for a chocolate milkshake, burger and fries — made the old fashion way! It brought back memories from Wisconsin childhood(did I mention they can put bacon in your cheeseburger?)

Breakfast or lunch, this is a special place. It is and old style soda fountain. Burgers, fries and any kind of sandwich that you could think of. Ice cream, sundaes and great milk shakes. The service is special. Preston Lawley

This place sounded perfect like places I grew up going to. I am from out of town called to see there hours they said 5pm today got there at 3:33pm walked in young kid behind counter had his head laying on the counter said we are closed. We are leaving in 10 minutes. Sad when you take the time to call and people working there do not know how to tell time and then they close early. Do not waste your time bad attitudes

If you want to step back in time and visit and old fashioned lunch counter this is the place to go. Green Valley Drug is by far my favorite place in the word to eat! I have been going here just about every weekend my entire life. Everything is made from scratch including fresh hamburgers, pimento cheese, tuna, and milkshakes. The cheeseburgers melt in your mouth and the milkshakes are to die for! You can add bacon to your burger for just a little bit extra to give it a little kick. Milkshakes are offered in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and cherry flavors. i am partial to the chocolate but all are very good. The prices are reasonable and definitely worthy of the food that you are getting. Expect to get a lunch for two around $ 10 – 15 and be wanting to come back the next day. The only drawbacks are that they are only open for breakfast and lunch. You can get breakfast and lunch M-F and lunch only on Saturday. Closed Sunday. You are able to pay with credit card but cannot put the tip on the card so be sure to bring a few dollars cash to tip the excellent servers. Enjoy! You won’t regret it.
