Overtime Bar

I’ve been coming here since they’ve open, you won’t find a better place. Home away from home with more than 20 flat screens, plenty of beer and great food!

Food service is usually very slow so I rarely eat here. Fries are usually bad /​soggy. When you do get the food it’s good. I do like their wings.
They have or had some ridiculous signs up about being one of the top restaurant bar in the entire country on Urban Spoon. They aren’t even a top bar in their zip code. So they obviously manipulated the results and are proud of it.
With service this slow your food will be ready to eat even if the game goes into overtime.

I stopped by this morning to watch the game with some friends and had a great time. There weren’t many people there this morning so the bartender waited on us and he continued to do so even as the restaurant filled up. The manager also stopped by and made sure we were having a good time. The food came out pretty fast and most of their drinks were a pretty good price. Order the moscow mule even if it’s not on the menu ;) The food is pretty reasonable for bar food. The only thing is we ended up with way more condiments than we wanted. I got the caesar salad and it came with an extra side of caesar dressing (even though the salad was already dressed?). We also got 2 orders of ranch with fried pickles and an extra order of sour cream and salsa with the quesadillas. If you are checking the menu online, just know that the menu at the restaurant was a little different. I went at 11AM and checked the Lunch menu before I got there (I’m a vegetarian so I was making sure there were options for me) and was pleased with the spinach salad but when I got there that wasn’t on the menu. It wasn’t a big deal just know that the menus are a little different. Would definitely return!

Pros: food ok. I was told that most of the ingredients are fresh so thats a plus. Somewhat bubbly, yet mostly inattentive service. Bright, clean-​looking dining area. Decent happy-​hour prices, according to the advert.
Cons: Aforementioned inattentive service: Bartendress was more interested in online dating/​texting than barkeeping (right in my face at that!). Dairy based dressings/​condiments left sitting out, way above the required 40 degrees (health violation). Staff eating at the bar in front of patrons without sanitizing themselves and handling food (health violation). Staff taking shots behind the bar (does the owner know?). Signs of laziness abundant (i.e.keeping the plastic shot cups over the liquor bottles while open for business).
Conclusion: I regret coming here again. No mas.

The Overtown is a classic sports bar with friendly service and really good (but limited) food menu. All the basics are here, burgers, wings, club sandwich, even a shrimp po boy. Great place to watch the games and get a bite. With the specials they have each night, you can do it for a great price.

I have been here twice and both times I was not impressed. The first time was to watch the Auburn vs. Georgia game. The atmosphere was fun and the drinks were good but the food was subpar. There is one large projector screen and it is first come, first serve so some Nebraska fan claimed the large tv first. The second time we went was to watch the Miami Hurricanes bowl game (which I am a big fan of). The staff only put the game on one small screen and were not tentative with filling our drinks.

Overtime is a great place to meet new people and have fun! It is a great place to go after work, On a weekend, or to watch ALL the games! On Sun they open up for NFL and even have fantasy football. They have lots to do during the week: they have ladies night, trivia, all you can eat wings. The food here surpasses the typical «bar» food. They have just extended their weekly lunch specials to dinner and they are delicious! This place is a lot of fun! They have pool tables and Golden Tee! You will be glad you visited! #teamtiff

Really enjoy the wings and burgers. Weekly specials are fantastic, but really are only weekly specials, so if you like it get all you can. Great beer selection with full bar. For a bar they serve a fantastic salad… especially with shrimp. The food is actually cooked… really cooked, not reheated. The bar is full of regulars that make you feel and home, not weird for being there, and the owner and staff are super cool folks. All around good place to go. #teamtiff

Great place for lunch. I have been going there a couple of times a week since their first year and never had a bad meal. Staff is friendly and attentive. It can get quite busy for lunch and wait times increase but the quality of the food is worth the wait. Good variety on their regular menu and weekly lunch specials are a nice change of pace so that you don’t get into a food rut.

Had the grilled shrimp and salad today. They have a pretty large menu with typical burgers and wings, but some healthy options too. Not far off i65 with lots of TVs and love music sometimes. Great food and cool atmosphere!

Owner is great guy! Very good and well priced food. They have daily specials and a friendly bar staff. The only negative is older tvs and mixed drinks are so so.
Definitely a neighborhood pub with pool tables and huge patio and good live music on the weekends.
They cook in soybean oil, but awesome Tiffany found some olive oil. The cooked me a filet to go on my salad. It was very good!

This is a really cool place to go watch the N.F.L. well for me anyways great wing specials $ 11.50 all you can eat and numerous T.V.s to watch all the games. The service was great and beers were cold. Go and enjoy this place.

Great place for Sunday football. Red zone channel a definite plus, especially for fantasy football. All you can eat wings for as long as you are there for a reasonable price. Decent beer selection. The service is awesome and the bartender rocked. Can’t wait to go back.

All you can eat wings Sunday’s is only a step in the bucket to why I love this place. The friend and family atmosphere makes you feel just like you are at home.

We have been here twice both times for lunch the food was good but the service was horrible. It is apparent that they are short staffed with a large lunch crowd causing service delays. This visit — we’ve been here an hour still no food. Last time for us…

This place, feels and sounds like a bar but offers food. Location wise, it’s a way off lakeshore heading to the industrial area. I first learned of this place through some friends and other reviewers. As I work at an operations center on lakeshore, this is the closest bar/​restaurant to the center. Looking around the crowd is a bit thin, which only means you’ll receive quicker service. Space wise, they have adequate seating and several pool tables. If you’re looking to take a break then this is a great place to stop and have a «beverage». In all fairness though, the servers are very friendly and personable, but a little slow. The food is very well prepared and the bar tender was very good at making recommendations. Every time a new customer walked in the staffers were very prompt and greeted the guests cordially. One reason for the slowness I did observe was due to the constantly ringing phone. I’m guessing they have take out?

I was torn about giving Overtime 2.5 or 3 stars, so I rounded up and went for 3. I’ve only been here twice, and both times I just wasn’t satisfied when I was finished eating. Sure, the food is okay, it’s nothing bad. But its nothing great, either. It will fill you up and essentially get the job done but I just haven’t found it to be enjoyable. The first time we went for lunch and I had a burger, and the second time I had chicken tenders in teriyaki/​honey BBQ. I thought since you get 2 flavors that I would get a few teriyaki tenders and a few BBQ tenders, but instead they mixed the sauces together and put it on all of them. As you can imagine, it wasn’t the greatest.
On the up side, the staff is all really friendly, and they serve Red Bull which is always a plus for me. It’s a laid back place to grab a bite to eat real quick, but just don’t expect it to be amazing.
