Sexton’s Seafood Birminham

While I love the quality of the seafood I was disappointed this week to find they have started adding a service charge if you use your credit card. I have a problem with this.
Credit card fees are the cost of doing business. The cost is built into the product.
When purchasing such large amounts it is inconvenient to carry that much cash.
While I was always impressed with the customer service this is a slap in the face to loyal customers.
I will find another place to buy seafood.

5 stars for the quality 2 stars for the prices. Their prices are outrageous about $ 25 a pound for most fish however plus 3% extra for credit cards give me a break. However the quality is outstanding. I realize top quality seafood is expensive but whoa. That said the service is great the counter people knowledgeable and courteous and the place very clean no fish smell at all.

Fresh seafood and I mean fresh is what you get at this fabulous seafood market. When we do seafood, this is where we get it. No other place I have been to in the Birmingham area even approaches the quality. You will not get seafood here with an odor.
This is a family owned business with locations in Destin and Birmingham. They get fresh seafood on the coast. The service is great and they always pack your purchase in ice so it stays fresh.

I can always count on Sexton’s to have anything I want at any time, and the freshest selection of it.
Face it, we live in a great place for seafood. Most everything you get here was caught on a boat just a day or so ago. You can always count on fresh seafood from Sexton’s and the prices aren’t really that bad considering what the have to offer (ie, consider the time it takes you to drive to the beach and back — none less than 8hours).
This family run business is all about service, too. They are so very friendly every time you walk in, never forgetting who their customers are.
They have a great selection of all «lumps» of crab so your crabcakes are PERFECT every time with a mix of fresh claw meat and jumbo. Don’t want to make your own? Well, they have freshly made crabcakes for you in their case. They also have a good selection of soups and gumbos and all the spices needed to make your fish fry, shrimp boil, or your french country mussels dinner fabulous! Some things I can’t readily find in my favorite gro sto.
Sexton’s is the only way to go if you’re cooking seafood tonight. Get some extra hot sauce — What time shall we be there?
