The Vintage Wine Shoppe

By far the best wine prices in town and if that doesn’t get you to come in, there extremely friendly and knowledgable staff will! Give them your price point and what you are eating and they will give you an excellent wine and you will walk away extremely satisfied. Will never buy wine anywhere else!

This has become my go to wine store in Birmingham. They have frequent tastings, with as many as 20 wines to choose from at many tastings so you are able to discover new wines often.
The best thing about the store is the customer service. Nobody takes care of you like Patty and her staff. They genuinely appreciate your business.

Really great little store if you’re looking to discover something new! They have lots of gifts for the wine lover in your life too! The staff is always very very helpful and friendly. Make sure to grab a newsletter when you’re there to see upcoming special events and tastings! Note they are not able to sell wine on Sunday as they are just inside Shelby county. This place is worth the visit!

Vintage Wine Shoppe is everything like Hop City but sells only wine only and requires a little more ‘formal’ than stumbling in with pajamas like I did. There’s no dress code but standing in my PJs amongst businessmen stopping by to pick up something after work made me feel out of place. Fortunately, none of the staff makes you feel that way. You never ever sense they act like they know more than you. Even while one employee shares their favorite selection, another employee will chime in and strike up a conversation with you. I love how they also facilitate conversations between customers so you end up talking to 3 people at a time.
Vintage Wine is located in a plaza that can clearly be seen on your drive down Hwy 280. It was a lovely discovery on my part amongst all the chain businesses established on this route. I also can’t stress enough that this is one place a wine snob would reluctantly give a nod of respect as a result of their extensive wine selection, Auburn and Alabama paraphernalia, and twice weekly free wine tastings. The infrastructure of this place is gorgeous consisting of wine bottles stacked on wine bottles stacked on wine bottles. The walls are basically a library of wine bottles.
I left with 2 bottles of respectable wine without breaking my wallet. The best part was the staff made made me excited to return for their future events. It helps they seem to remember you on every visit.
